Ridge Park is floral heaven. The latter is a flat stretch of road exactly above Gangtok Town and if you’re into floriculture, an hour or two will pass by in the blink of an eye.
The Ridge is a fine stretch of road near to the Gangtok town. It takes around 20 minutes to walk from MG Marg. The Ridge is flanked on one side by the White Hall, which is the Chief Minister's Residence, and the other side by a gate with a pagoda-like top. The Ridge Park is along the Ridge road and is covered with flowering plants and shrubs. There is a traditional Sikkimese style Gazebo here where visitants can rest and soak in the nature around.
Near to Ridge Park is the Flower Exhibition Center which holds the seasonal Orchid show. The place inside the Flower Exhibition Center is very small, but it has some astonishing collections of flowers of many different types. This is the best place for flower lovers. The best time to visit is between March to June when the flowers are in full bloom.
