  • 5 Full-Sun Perennials That Thrive in a Garden With Lots of Light ☀️✨💛 Some plants die when they are in direct sunlight, but many flowering perennials do well when they get sun all day. Full sun means that a spot for planting gets at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight most days. Some perennials that grow in full sun may need a little shade during the hottest part of the day. And different perennials need different amounts of water. Some can grow in dry soil, while others need wet soil. For some plants, making sure their soil has enough water is just as important as giving them enough sunlight. Here are 5 perennial plants that do well in full sun.

I couldn't agree more! Dahlias are indeed spectacular and add a delightful splash of color to any garden. Their variety in size, shape, and color make them a favorite among many garden enthusiasts. If you have any questions about growing Dahlias or need some tips, don't hesitate to ask. Happy gardening!

Dhalias not perennials. You have to dig them out.

Every garden book I've read says columbines do best in part shade. I have grown peonies in full sun, and they did not like it, so I have to disagree with 2 of your chices.

Hello and thank you for sharing your experience! Gardening can often vary depending on local conditions, soil type, and specific plant cultivars.
You're right; Columbines (Aquilegia spp.) are often recommended for part shade, especially in hotter climates. However, in cooler regions or where the sun is less intense, they can sometimes tolerate more sun.
I appreciate your input and it's important for gardeners to observe and adapt based on their specific garden conditions. Feedback like yours is invaluable, and it reminds us all that gardening is both an art and a science. Thanks for being part of our community! ☀️✨💛
