2024 HONDA CRF450RL First Ride

- Just picked up a brand new 2024 Honda CRF450RL from @kanatahonda5250 this was my first ride Sept. 8th 2023
ONLY changes made were swapping out tires for a Kenda set using Southwick/Trakmaster 2, adding handguards, raising the idle by 100rpm and removing mirrors.
The suspension was left alone and ridden with "out the box" settings and the ECU IS STOCK.
I'm happy with the bike so far, time to dial in the suspension.

Yeah I watch that dumbass a lot too- and with his buds on the group rides.
I find it a bit pompous that he uses the 5964 to distinguish himself from all the other @ratherberiding’s on RL’s still using the same shitty old GoPro from their first vids.

WE used to ride the same terrain on honda 50 mini trails, ty80, in 1974

How does it feel .
When this was filmed the bike was 100% stock other than the tires. The suspension was left at factory settings. Idle was sped up by 100rpm. During this this first ride the bike was harsh and snatchy the way you'd expect an MX bike to be on such rocky terrain. Since then I've played with the suspension to make it perform better in the trails. The ergonomics, wheel base and great amount of steering angle make it a fantastic HARD Dual Sport bike but the known issues with fuel mapping are still present on the 2024. Full review coming soon
