The things an artist goes through to capture a scene they want to paint. The painting really captured the quiet stillness of the slow flowing river and the coldness in the air. I haven't used acrylics to do my paintings but I wanting to give them a try. Again I loved the painting of the area you chose to paint.
You explain things so well, especially why you choose a scene. Also, the background music is perfect, not too loud where it's hard to hear you. Your videos are so peaceful to watch and I love your paintings! And boy did you run out of light fast!
Thank you! The temperature was probably upper 30s to lower 40s (Fahrenheit) I'd say. The paint seemed slightly thicker perhaps, but worked very well the whole time with the river water I used. I really enjoyed it, though my fingers got a bit cold toward the end ❄

You are capturing the essence of plein air painting so well! Thanks-you.
Thanks! I enjoy the process almost more than studio paintings...something I would have never previously thought. You're welcome 🙂

Really enjoyed your Plein Air tutorial. What was the temperature like and how did your acrylic paint do in the cold weather?
