    Todd, please disregard my comment/question below. I happen to find another one of your chipping videos (secret move....I recall). Sure enough, I was guilty on both parts...moving the club back too far inside (I've done this for years) and moving the handle toward the target at the start of the swing. I just got back from the range and chipped really well. THANKS for your help!

    Thanks for all of your tips Todd....much appreciated!! I have a quick chipping question (I'm a terrible chipper). I've watched your chipping videos and it looks to me like you keep you left wrist quiet back & thru while maintaining a slight wrist cock in your right wrist. When I do this I usually end up bouncing the club up off the turf just before contact and you know how that turns out!! I've played around with rolling my left wrist down during the start of the down swing essentially hitting the ball with a slightly bowed left wrist. This has really help me to make crisp contact but as you can imagine, the ball rolls off the club face pretty hot. Most every video I've watched on chipping and pitching talk about using the bounce on the wedge to help execute the shot. Of course, rolling the left wrist down to a slightly bowed position at impact negates any bounce on the club. I would appreciate your thoughts on this!! Please keep up the great content!!

    Another informative video Todd. I get the concept of the mechanics of chipping, but I really struggle on my distances when I chip. ( I think I use the right weight to get near the pin, but inevitably I end up way short, or way long.) Any advice?

      You bet, what lofted club are you using?

      @@USGOLFTVshow I've been using a 56º, but I just bought a 64º (though I haven't had the chance to use it as yet)

    Todd, when I do short lobs or bump and runs, the ball often travels up and down but very short. Am i flipping, should my wrists be a bit less flexible?

      Jeffrey Moss sounds like you are changing the loft of the club at impact which is typically related to wrist angles... be sure the wrist angle is clean and solid through the strike. 👍

    I find if I put my weight on my lead foot first then lean over I get better spine angles as we as better body angles.

    2 questions...
    1. With setup, you talked about ball position in relation to heels and then mentioned shaft lean neutral to slightly ahead. Is there a position that the butt of the club should be pointed? Belt buckle, left belt loop?
    2. Is there a proper face angle on the backswing in chipping? I started trying to keep the face more closed on the backswing and my chipping got more accurate. Was that luck?

      @USGOLFTVshow  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aaron Longo great questions. We like to see the butt end of the club at the belt buckle to slightly forward of that. On the back swing it is ok to keep the face square for a bump and run, however if you want to go high with the shot, you need to add a little loft...hope that helps.
