  • "Drop the Bomb" is from "Zirrppppp!," Bitch Band No. 1's sole LP, released on GeeBeeDee Records in 1981. A live version also appears on "Venus Weltklang," a record documenting The First International Women's Rock Festival held in Berlin in June, 1981. Founded in Hamburg in 1979 by German filmmaker & drummer Charlotte "Lottie" Marsau (aka Leroi / Leroy Pink) and British expat Poppy Rice (keyboards), this international lesbian feminist band was rounded out by ex-Lysistrara guitarist Barbara Bauermeister , American singer Betsie Miller, and bassist Claude Lavigne. Lavigne was apparently Bitch Band No. 1's connection to the legendary lesbian commune Egelantiersstraat 113 in Amsterdam. After Bitch Band ceased to exist, Marsau continued hanging around the squats of Amersterdam and formed Idiotsavant with Annie Toon of ex-pat American band The Bloods. She continues to make films.
    [Excerpt]
"Have you got your money now?
Have you been working real hard?
    Are you fully integrated?
    Drop the bomb
    Drop the bomb
    Drop the bomb
    Drop now
    We've been waiting for you
    Drop the bomb
    Drop the bomb
    Drop dead
    Drop now
    We've been waiting for you"
