    Sounds Medieval -- I mean that as a high compliment. Ancient and beautiful sound -- thank you!!

      phrygian dominant scale i think, combined with one note/string just "droning". I do that quite a lot on my guitar, it´s lovely

    I think this is our first well-lit look at this instrument, lol.
    It's definitely my favorite bass talharpa in terms of sound. It's easy on the eyes too.

    Did you try to get a hold of horsetail hair for the strings? I wonder if it'd change the sound quality? Either way, love it. :)

      I might do that some day. I certainly want to try 3 cello strings. I think that would sound majestic!

    What tuning do you use D2A2D3 OR D3A2A2 or some other? 😊

    Hi Bro! How many strands do you use per strings? Many people use 0.50mm or 0.25mm fishing line. The sound of nylon is majestic! And you play very great!

    • @alravi8707
      @alravi8707  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thanks. I use 0.15mm. I do about 45 strings in first string, 90 in the middel one and 145 in the last one. I think the strands of strings also depends on the length of the instrument itself. I didnt build the instrument. For more specific questions you can ask Nikon B. He also has a YT channel. :)

      @@alravi8707 Thank you for your answer! I have just received my fishing line. Are you tuning the low string down? I’ll braid the nylon for the first time lol

    • @alravi8707
      @alravi8707  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brancadaric862 Yes, if the string is very thin, you can then tune it very high. It depends on what you want. And the thicker the string, the lower you can tune it. I prefer a middle way, so i can tune it both fairly high or low. I like to tune my instrument around E3 B2 E2. The numbers behind the tunings(letters) represents the octaves. But mabye you are already familiar with that.
      I hope you understand, despite my poor english ;)
