  • In this compilation video I'm going to show you how I've managed to recover a soil mix that was off scale acidic, to one that's much more suitable for growing vegetables in.

Problem w/ Dry Lime for calcium is it takes very lg amts to shift the soil back to Good. One farmer I know said "tons" as per his extensive soil analysis. Grow bags, not nearly as drastic. Liquid Calcium fertilizer shd shorten this experiment greatly. In tomatoes they say it prevents blossom end-rot. *Do like the lively look of that front greenish stem. Just bcz, I'd keep it going to see what happens in that bag. -- xxoo 💌🍒

Hello Jim i dont see you watering your pots growbags etc before doing the ph test, I assume the containers are already adequately moist , you wont get the right reading if your not doing the test right,

I give them a little drink daily Bob and some lime wash every 2 or 3 days so the soil is always moist and sticks to the probe when it's pulled out. If I can grow lettuce in the mix I'm hoping its an indication that next year it should be OK for tomatoes. Jim.
