Grow Potatoes then grow ten Leeks in the same bucket of soil after a quick turnaround.

After you've harvested your early potatoes a crop of leeks is possible provided you've some small leek plants ready to move up in a quick turnaround. I know, I've done it!

One question I have. As root bound as alot that you grow and as healthy as your plants are, do you fertilize your buckets as you grow your plants? I tried growing in buckets this year and as I made up my soil I added bone and fish meal. Didn't add anymore fertilizer through the season. My plants didn't turn out as good as yours. Just curious so I can get a better out come to my gardening fun. I definitely am hooked on this container gardening. It is a lot of fun and put the excitement in gardening again.
