We are preparing to add TXA to our whole blood program in the next few months. Along with expanding our whole blood program to medical related hemorrhagic shock TXA will be given in trauma with all transfusions as well as with head injuries in certain situations. Seeing the impact of WB I am excited to add TXA and see our program expand. Grateful to work with the caliber of medical direction we are fortunate to have at PBCFR. I for one after 28 years of not having these treatment modalities available am one REFRESHED AND RENEWED provider!

Is anyone using it for GI bleeds in the field? Of course I am referring to the obvious significant GI bleeds, not the patients that call for minor bleeding.

Hi Mike - we are using 15 mg/kg and giving just as Dr. Pepe mentioned…over 2 minutes.
