Measuring picofarad changes with fuel is challenging. Fuel density , Fuel temperature, temp stratification, fuel makeup are all challenges you gloss over to make one appear better. Resistance is simple and given optimal placement can outperform capacitance as the electrical challenges are not easy``````. Capacitance cannot measure full fuel volume in a tank as a space needs to be maintained from these isolated components in the wing with separation so that a lightning strike does not pass through the tank .
