The engines will also suction feed from the fuel tanks. I once saw a test pilot try to balance the fuel tanks and even after turning off both fuel pumps in one tank it made no difference because the engine still suction fed. Illegal during landing and not recommended during turbulence.
There is usually an allowable limit for fuel imbalance. Within these limits there will be no operational impact. But if the imbalance goes beyond these limits then some inputs on the ailerons/rudder may be required for level flight.
in case of failure of the pumps, the pressurized fuel feed to the engine is stopped. so the suction feed line allows the fuel to be fed to the engines with the help of gravity.
Oxygen has to be mixed with a combustible fluid for the combustion process. It is possible to use hydrogen as a fuel which few companies are working on.
Show us genuine photos of the fuel tanks in those commercial airline wings. I’m not convinced what you’re saying is true because the quantities stated that are put into the aircraft don’t match the dimensions. It’s as if you’re telling people they can fit a fully grown elephant inside a VW Beatle. You’re talking nonsense mate.
After 36 years of installing fuel systems and building the commercial airliners that house them I can tell you that the wing structure itself is the fuel tank. When you look out of the window of an airliner and you see the aluminum skin of the wing that skin is the skin of the tank. dcniner01
I enjoyed that video... thank you for putting it together. Very clear and direct.

Thanks a lot for these vids. Helped me a lot for some quick revision!
Glad it helped!
Thx to jxj aviation today so many doubts are cleared.

Nice. Many thanks Sir.

Thank u so much
Excellent video 👍👍
Most welcome 😊
Great video! Could you please make such a video on what is engine priming and how it is carried out in an aircraft?
I will try to do that!
@@JxJAVIATION I appreciate the reply :D
Excellent video
Thank You! Please Share the Videos as well
Very well made

Good job
Thank You!
Thanks a lot 😊 sir.....

Great explanation. Easy to understand.
Thanks .
I have a question. Please tell me the difference between BHP & HP of engine .
You are welcome! Check out my other videos as well! I will make a video on the difference soon!
@@JxJAVIATIONThank u very much .Really appreciate it.
can a double engine aircraft have a gravity feed fuel system?
Yes it can!
Nice video
Thank you! Do check out my other videos as well!
Good video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Can you please give me an example of an aircraft that used gravity feed fuel system?
Most of the aircraft have a gravity feed system as a safety feature, incase the pumps fail and fuel is available in the tanks.
@@JxJAVIATION In the case of the aircraft becoming inverted the pilot would want the pumps working!
Very good explanation but you forget remaining basic components like carburateur or fuel injector electric pump .
Yes. Well didn't want to go too much in detail!
Yep .Anyways you’re very good at teaching i love listening your methods and voices
Which fuel valves does not allow fuel to flow from the inner tank to the outer tank?
There are intertank transfer valves that prevents fuel flow, which are used to prevent fuel flow from outer to inner tank!
those are called flapper valves.
The engines will also suction feed from the fuel tanks. I once saw a test pilot try to balance the fuel tanks and even after turning off both fuel pumps in one tank it made no difference because the engine still suction fed. Illegal during landing and not recommended during turbulence.
yes thank you for the info
What happens if there is a imbalance in fuel... Will the aircraft will roll?
There is usually an allowable limit for fuel imbalance. Within these limits there will be no operational impact. But if the imbalance goes beyond these limits then some inputs on the ailerons/rudder may be required for level flight.
Nice explanation..Could you please explain suction feed as well! Thanks

@@JxJAVIATION if it's using gravity than we term it gravity feed or suction feed?
@@sakshikhorana both refer to the same feed line that supplies fuel with the help of gravity.
Thank you sir
Welcome
Thank you, that is very easy to understanding 👍
You are welcome! :)
So why don't they just use pressurised oxygen tanks to fuel them? Surely this is cold fusion?
Oxygen has to be mixed with a combustible fluid for the combustion process. It is possible to use hydrogen as a fuel which few companies are working on.

This is the actual fuel system. Unfortunately can't share actual photos but I will try to find them for you!
@@JxJAVIATION good luck!! There’s no fuel tanks in the wings of commercial airliners.

Hope the test was ok!!
TIL that there's a conspiracy theory that planes don't/can't carry fuel... just wow.
