This bike actually has 160+hp and 130+ft/lb of torque. The power figures you mentioned in the video are closer to what their boxer engine bikes put out.
In Germany, this bike has no limiter on the engine. I know, I had it as a loaner when my R18B was in for a service. Had it over 200kph in seconds. Still wouldn’t consider buying it until it gets the dynamic cruise control, like my R18B.
The K1600GA is limited to 103 mph (165 kph) due to aerodynamic instability on the highway or motorway. So while it may be the "quickest" it is hardly the fastest.
After I got my 2021 GW, I started looking again it the K1600. Very good bike, only worries are when parts can’t come in a timely manner if things go wrong. However, I am saving some money to make this my Second bike.
@kennymaster900 I have a BMW dealership near me and they sell quite a lot of k1600 models. I've been told by them and a few people that have put close to 50k on theirs, that they haven't had any issues out of them. A lot of people will pay for the first valve check and then not worry about it for another 75k or so. Unless you are always running these at redline, the valves rarely even need to be adjusted. I've ridden one before and I was extremely impressed by it.
K1600B - 125 with floor boards 110 recommended K1600GA- 105 with weight in top box or passenger 81 recommended. These bikes are neutered by bmw. My 2009 FLHTP HD is faster than these two and it’s got 70 hp. I also have a ga. Quick not fast.
Who are you kidding? i had a 2018 bagger k1600. You need to test the bike before making false claims 😢 it is restricted to 118 mph , and it will not even rev out fully in 4th gear in standard trim. I had to sue my dealer to get my money back!!! Get a k1600 gt no restriction 😂😂😂
Lots of statistical errors in this video!! That said, it's a phenominal motorcycle!! You probably should ride one before reading a prepared script so you actually know what you're talking about!! And what the hell are you talking about when you say "...feet cooking floorboards..."?? What does that even mean???
If you ever considering this machine, make yourself a BIG note. Be ready for crazy, sicko issues. Get ready for engine light coming on out out of nowhere. Good luck getting the bike back from the dealer. Good luck getting a loaner, good luck getting spare parts quickly. Good luck working on it in your garage. Great machine, yes. Fun to ride, yes. Sexy looking, yes. BUT.........................!!!! I owned 2 and I know what I am talking about. Never again !!!!
@@JNAMOTORSPORTS Are you for real??? I owned 2 of them. 16 GTLE and new Grand America. I am not telling you stories here. I was the one who ran to the dealers for stupid stuff. Light resets, sensors issues. I said to the head mechanic, what is going on with this Ks? He replied: They can be strange at times. They are very involved. On top of that, the engine on the GA shut off on me doing 60 MPH, F....N twice. Don't tell me who told you that. LOL!!! I don't care how great they are, disappointing for me 100%. Never again. FJR, Honda Goldwing, Rebel, never one damn issue, never saw a dealer since new.
I’ve only owned BMWs for the last 12 years, 3 K1600 and NEVER experience any of the issues you claim, I’m calling BS on your POST! I did 60,000 on each bike, if the issues you claim were there they would be well known and posted all across the internet. Best you go back and hug your HD or Honda because your post shows you have never owned a BMW.
@@davesunderland1026 Dude, I don’t care if you believe or not. I have no reason to BS. You enjoy the K and I will stay away and ride my Wing. BMW has plenty to learn, still from Honda. I see it now. Cheers.

Excellence is all about the K1600 B family. Love it!!! Grand America!

The GA is not the same than the Bagger, K1600B (not GA) runs over 200K/h
@@DanielA23 Yea, I guess BMW just put the limiter on it for shits and giggles then.

@kenny master from my brothers who have the k1600, no issues with latest bike,

Nice ultimate riding machine
Feet cooking floorboards?! You clearly haven’t ridden one bud…zero heat on them!
does Apple car play work on this bike ?
Its not the fastest but it is quick...put a bt tune in it and makes it alot better bike
It is dangerous to drive this bike above 170 km/h

Since my average ride is about 5 miles I think I'll skip this video.
Don’t blame you. You could
Have did your ride and came back by the time you posted that comment.

I love the b and the Grand America. But to call it the fastest?????? Not really the case. Those pesky top speed limiters make no sense.
Took my 2024 B to 125 the other day and it had more room to go. So it seems the often quoted 110 mph limiter isn’t there anymore.
