Good explanation. What I use for ten years of dating my hubby without being pregnant is.. from the last day of my menses I count up to 10 days those are my unsafe days then after that I resume sex till next period. It works for me.

Please be advised our beloved nurse might have made an error: Your ovulation day is always 14 days before your next period always nomatter how long your cycle is. This is because post ovulation time is fixed for all people, but pre ovulation changes from person to person.
