Yes! Kings Island in Mason, Ohio! My parents took us (myself and brothers) there when we were kids! Happy times! Glorious memories! We enjoyed the rides, but loved the pizza! I believe it was LaRosas. Thank you for sharing, Tami!
Check this out: th-cam.com/video/cY2KwsCCT8M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=U7P58CdrXyWEF5VO the music is very annoying- I made it 10 years ago, but you can see me when I was little.
Wow! This takes me back! Life was so simple and peaceful then; no worries or concerns, just happy times all around. Thank you for sharing this video with us, Tami! It was a fun, nostalgic trip down memory lane!
Ah! That pizza reminds me of my late grandfather’s, Papa Sal Marino (God rest his soul). I have commented on this before (in another pizza review), Papa Sal owned a pizzeria in Italy that I frequented as a young lad. His pizza was bloody delicious! Papa Sal passed down his recipe to my father, Vito. Lovely memories! Thank you for sharing, Giovanni Marino, M.D.🇬🇧
Love Home Run Inn! I agree that there is something old school tasting about it. I think the cheese, crust and sauce are so unique and really have great flavor!
I’m not positive but I believe I had this pizza once awhile ago. It was sold in a store like WholeFoods and it’s was under $10.00. I’ll to try it again and check the prices. At $6.99 it’s a good price. Thanks for a great review……pizza is a top favorite for me. Have a sunny and bright day. Looking forward to the next flavor of Home Run😊.
If Kevin is thinking of LaRosa's pizza, the toppings are typically under the cheese instead of on top. Id live to try this brand but no Meijer closer than 2 hours. Hopefully Kroger will get it sometime. Or Walmart
Hi, may i know what size is that pizza in diameter? thanks for all the reviews on Pizzas. I just bought a Ninja Foodi air fryer oven from Costco. 14 inches size pizza won't fit. Thanks
I love Home run inn.. expensive, but worth it for me. They do sell personal sizes as well too. Sometimes I'll buy the big ones, let it a thaw slightly and cut into slices and free. I'll throw the slices in the air fryer whenever I want a slice to avoid wasting the hold pizza.
Used to be able to get HRI pizza when we lived in Oregon. Not available in New York and I miss it. Not a typical frozen pizza texture. Some may like it, some might not but it's unique.
I'm so glad this pizza brings back a memory! Now if only there was a brand that sold Jersey Shore pizza, so I don't have to make the trip down south... Though, that might be hard, since the pizza I've had there was gigantic... A single slice was the size of a small child 🤣
I've seen this in the stores and never tried it but now I have to since you said it tastes like the King's Island pizza...so many childhood memories riding the Beast and King Cobra!
Chicagoan here and I grew up on this brand of pizza often! I will say over the last couple of years they've changed a bit. The sauce used to be much more thicker with a stronger tomato paste like flavor ,now it seems to be a bit more watery and less flavorful imo but other then that it's still one of the better frozen pizza's out their. I would probably rank it 3rd behind Connie's and rosati's
Yeah I was going to say the same Connie’s also has frozen pizzas and they are pretty good if you can find them. Another recommendation if you like Chicago pizza is Goldbelly Tami. You can get Pequod I'm expecting 6 to arrive tomorrow as I now live in Arizona. They sometimes have Nancy’s pizza and it's also pretty good.
Over cook it. Almost burnt. It's really good!! Adds flavor. Cheese has a pull to it. Nice sauce. I'm not a crust fan. I didn't eat it. Definitely will buy again.
Yum! Never tried their pizzas but now I want to! Doesn’t appear that anywhere near us sells them… Hope that changes soon! 😅 Have you seen their thin crust near you? Wonder if that would seem like less of a calorie killer but equally enjoyable? Thanks for a fun review!
idk why but this pizza has the BEST cheese, it's definitely what makes it different from most other Frozen pizzas , someone lmk if they know another frozen one that has cheese like this or how to make it at home , what makes this cheese different? Tfs!
Home Run Inn pizza is my favorite frozen pizza. I like the sausage best even though I don't eat the sausage...lol. Crazy, I know. I like the flavor it gives the pizza, but I can't eat the sausage because pork sausages make me nauseous. I know that probably makes no sense at all, but I guess I'm just weird lol.
It reminds me of a restaurant we went to growing up called Pizza Inn. I actually like a sweet marinara sauce and love a yeasty crust. I’ve actually never had a Home Run pizza, however that will change now. Great review.
Oh, one other thing. The pizza did not brown on the bottom of the crust, and there is a good reason why. The answer is sugar. Food science! The absence of sugar is the explanation. Right. I noticed that this pizza unlike the many others you have tried does not contain any added sugars (thank you for the pictures at the end of the video 😉). No matter how long you bake the pizza pie, you are never going to brown up the bottom of the crust because sugar makes dough brown. Interesting that Mister Dunn commented on the sauce tasting sweeter, since again there is no sugar added. And you, Tami, mentioned tasting a distinct yeast flavour. The company must use a high-quality cake yeast which gives their pizza a lighter colour, but an equally delicious flavour.

They never went for a second slice
We eat more after the review is finished :)
ADD MEDIUM SALSA OREGANO BASIL AND GARLIC POWDER. MAKES FROZEN PIZZA MUCH BETTER AND A OVEN PIZZA PAN WITH HOLES TO GIVE A GOOD CRISP
Thank you for watching!
If Kevin is thinking of LaRosa's pizza, the toppings are typically under the cheese instead of on top. Id live to try this brand but no Meijer closer than 2 hours. Hopefully Kroger will get it sometime. Or Walmart
Our Walmart started selling them a while back so yours might as well. 🤞🏻
Home Run makes a pretty solid pizza. Love all that cheese on there. They have some cool merchandise on their website.
I’ll have to look!
Out of all the pizza reviews the Home Run Inn pizzas are my favorite. Went out and tried them myself and they are just as good as you say they are!
I’m so glad you like them 😃

It’s a shame you can’t get in in NYC.

I loved the Kings Island pizza!
It was delicious!!
I busted out laughing thinking of the complaints that necessitated that sticker
😂
Seems like a pretty good standard cheese pizza. I’d try this. Thanks for the review.
It’s better than a lot we have here.
I've heard from others that they've really enjoyed this pizza bit I haven't tried it. Looks good!
I hope you have them in your area!
Larosa’s is the pizza place that I know of at Kings Island that is pretty popular.
Thank you!

I wish we had Rosati’s here!
From Chicago here also, I prefer Deep Dish pizza though from Lou Malnati's and Giordano's!

No, I didn’t know they offered a thin crust!
that pizza looks lovely 🍕 good value too
It was!
PS.... I'm excited for other ones 👏👏👏
Home Run Inn is the best!! My favorite is the pepperoni!
What is his #1 cheese?
Motor City Pizza Five Cheese Bread - he likes the added garlic & Parmesan cheese sauce.
Great review
Thank you!

So good!
How can you beat the price
We agree!

I can understand you getting the flavor. That’s a good idea!
That flavor is probably the fennel seeds in the sausage, it could be.
I like the cheese and pepperoni, but their sausage is kinda funky.
I'm lovin the amount of cheese!
Yes! 🙌🏻
That looks so yummy!
It was!
It looks so good.i must find one.😋
🤞🏻🤞🏻
Home run pizza is very salty to me. It's like salt city. LoL. Is the pizza parlor you are talking about is LaRosa pizza?
Yes, but it seemed to taste better in the 80’s.
@@TamiDunn I remember LaRosa as a kid. Are they still around the Cincinnati area? I loved them as a kid.
LaRosas in Cincinnati
Thank you!
This sounds good. I want to try one. Great review 👍
You should!
I did not care for it will not buy again
It reminds me of a restaurant we went to growing up called Pizza Inn. I actually like a sweet marinara sauce and love a yeasty crust. I’ve actually never had a Home Run pizza, however that will change now. Great review.

Pizza Inn basically is what kept me alive when I was in college. I probably had it three or four nights a week.
@@jamesboswell760 it was so good.

Greatest frozen pizza hands down. It isn't even close.
It’s a great pizza!
