When the main vocal ͡ girl sings this song, She was about to get a heat stroke. From time to time she asked the audience to sing a song. 3:02 Other members who noticed her anomaly supported her song on her behalf.
Interesting that you selected this version of Shunkan sentimental. This was from their 10th anniversary concert held outdoors in August and 100°F temperatures. The lead singer Haruna was being affected by the heat during this song and nearly passed out and was having trouble singing and had to be rescued by the other members who took over singing the song.
I was at that gig...it was 37C, with wicked humidity. Haru almost passed out twice during the concert. They played for over two-hours...a 27-song set. That crenaline hoop skirt she was wearing just trapped the heat and humidity.
Scandal was one of the first girl bands to break worldwide , and these girls travel a lot Europe US Sth Am South East Asia, Korea as well as Turkey and UK. All original members still together 14? albums , lots of songs on animes. Write andproduce their own record. I love these hard working cute girls, who like to break boundaries in styles of their music.
@@katsukamijo3943 And the fact that there aren't many female bands left anymore is pretty sad. But the great thing is that they are all in Japan. I'm a 76 year old American rocker and I've been following rock since the late 1950's and even played a bit of bass and sax over the years, and the dying out of female rock groups was a tragedy. The fact that there are so many in Japan makes me smile a LOT. Japanese female rock bands have personally brought about a renaissance of great rock today. I salute them all. And speaking of the sax, Japan has the best female sax players on Earth, with The Sax Triplets and Uko Saxy leading the way in jazz/funk.
Great reaction. They are celebrating their 15th anniversary this year. They started the band when they were still in high school. This song is from their 10th anniversary concert (2006-2016). Another song from this concert you may like is 'Scandal Baby'.
Scandal has had several of their songs used for anime shows. "Shunkan Sentimental" was the closing song for the amine "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" in its fourth season.
I was at this gig...it was 37C, with unreal humidity. They played a 27-song set. Haru almost passed out on at least two occasions; there was no color in her face at all. She was really struggling here. Mami and Timo really bailed her out on vocals. I really thought they were going to stop the show...Haru said later that she didn't really know where she was. Worst concert conditions ever.
I am a musician and was at the gig and can't even imagine playing under those conditions. It was so hot and humid...I am amazed that Haru didn't pass out.
Wow!! Great energy.... The band AND you! Looks like a group that I would stand in line for hours to get a ticket! Great oresentation dear! Keep rockin💥💥💥
Since you heard both Haruna and Tomomi sing quite a bit. I suggest listening to Koe and Oyasumi. Because Mami's vocals didn't really show up here just the backup vocals. And Rina hardly sings in general since she's the drummer. They're all great singers. I think their most popular song is Doll. Which definitely is great. Just wanted to mention it as a good song in general
...and, suddenly, Tomomi on lead vocals. LOL Damn, it was so hot and humid that day. Haru was wearing a crenoline hoop skirt, which retained all the heat. I really thought she was going to pass out. We were in the first row...and she was white as a ghost.
Massive fan of Scandal since 2014 here. My favorite band member is their ravishing bassist Tomomi Ogawa. Try to listen and make a reaction on their songs like Departure, Freedom Fighters, and AMDKJ. BTW, have you noticed that Haruna has some resemblance to Angel Locsin?
The 4th ending theme to Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. BTW, both Tomomi and Rina are sopranos...and Rina's voice is higher-pitched than Tomomi's. Fans often call Tomomi The Chipmunk...and yes, that is her real voice...she is the soul of SCANDAL.
Scandal once ruled Japan my first all girl band from Japan saw them in 2015 near Chicago at the Aden con. it was awesome they did the third arc of bleach shojs if you would react to burn live from budakan they are all dressed in kimono's be well
It's kinda surprising that you saw this song as modern even it's a 2010 song. Nice! You got good ears for saying that because some people say that SCANDAL is the most standard J-rock band that I disagree with since SCANDAL puts different genres in their albums and even 3 genres in just 1 song. Nice reaction. Haruna had to take a break during the chorus before the bridge because she's so tired due to the scorching heat of the sun. Good thing there's Mami and Tomomi to catch her. So precious band.
Nice reaction!!! they will be releasing a new single this month. please react to the song "a.m.d.k.j" or "masterpiece" both of which are from the latest album kiss from the darkness 2020. Thank you for uploading.
For some reason Haru's voice sounds different in this event, I don't know if she was sick, or if it was during that period where she had that throat injury that forced her to change the way she sings.
Actually Haruna had hard singing this song again because the single release before her throat operation and when this concern was made she had hard time singing because of her throat operation. But I still love them and they are my first female japanese band favorite. If you have time try to check stereophony or uchu konbini.
No, she was about to pass out from heat stroke...it was almost 100F with unreal humidity. Those of us in the first row thought she wouldn't make it through the song.
Also you should react to Nightmare. They're not anything like this. But you should still check them out. Criminal Baby, Dasei Boogie, Raven Loudspeaker, Dirty, Kyokuto Ranshin Tengoku, and Star [K]night would be my initial suggestions. If you've watched Death Note you'll know who they are since they are the band behind the first intro and outro

Sobrang cute ni tomomi dito ❤️
Their versatility is what makes them different from other bands. Their latest album 'Kiss From The Darkness' is excellent.

Almost 15 years being the #1 J-Girl band.
100% accurate. They're now the longest running all-female Japanese band (without haitus) and still the frontwomen of all-female bands scene in Japan.
Probably #1 Girl band in the world, considering there ain't that many all-girl bands.

Yet they pulled through and made an amazing concert. Must've been awesome
@@chrisXlr8r It was.
@@ShikataGaNai100 I just uploaded this performance since it got taken down. You should give it a try
They are not new they are the OG's who started the all girl band of the 20's
At that time, the vocalist wasn't feeling well.
I was at this concert and it was one of the best times of my life being surrounded by so many of their fans. It was crazy hot though, almost 40°C 😅

Haruna Ono (32) (Haru) - gt./vo.; Mami Sasazaki (30) (Mamitasu or MMTS) - lead gt./vo.; Tomomi Ogawa (30) (Timo) - Bass/vo.; Rina Suzuki (29) - dr./synth./gt./vo.
I´ve noticed, Rina plays a nice white Telecaster on "Oyasumi"
Thank you ❤
