Gilbert dropping that 60 against the lakers will forever be the highlight of his career. Now he’s saying kobe had a problem guarding him. 11 of the 16 games he played against Kobe he shot 40% or worse. A lot of 9-29, 10-26, 5-15 type of games

    • @tank4ever

It's interesting how much of an advantage experience gives you. Gil plays like a modern player with lots on his bag. Meanwhile GP got drafted in 1990 where players can't do half the things that players now do on a regular basis and yet he was taking Gil to school.

Why is Hakeem olajuwon arguably the most skilled player of all time and he played in the 90s? Kobe was drafted in 96. KG,Iverson, grant hill, Shaq , Karl Malone, pippen, ray Allen, penny Hardaway, Vince carter they all played in the 90s. Tim Hardaway was the one of the players that revolutionized the crossover dribble brand of basketball. Also a 90s NBA guy

Gary Payton was the premier scoring point guard in the league in the mid 90s to early 2000s while being the best defensive point guard as well. He didn’t have the handle or layup package of a Kyrie or Steph but he used to cook in the post and mid range while locking up guys that were usually his size or bigger on a nightly basis hence 9 straight all defensive 1st teams and 9 all nba teams
