    UPDATE: 2023 The park now has a new flow trail, jumpline and dual slamon course, all machine built.
    And one more important thing we forgot to mention in the video is that the park is Closed Mondays (except some Holidays) and Tuesdays in 2022.
    We are planning another trip up to Sunrise Bike Park soon, maybe on July 24th, 2022.
    Another thing is they are adding a small jump line thing that is about half done as of mid August. They have gotten a ton of rain up there this summer so it has delayed the building.

    Wow looks awesome. Thanks for the video. I'm still riding the horse trails next to the Loop in Tucson.

    Heh, "Trail*Monster!"
    I enjoyed becoming acquainted with you and your channel.
    I was attached to Luke AFB in the '60s, although I worked and lived 'remotely'.
    My team and I set up a Radar Site in Holbrook AZ.
    We provided 'scoring' and ''practice bombing runs'' for the B-52s (NO physical bombs. all electronic signals).
    "Pre-Sunrise Park", I hooked up with a beta-test team, judging snow conditions in the White Mountains ( a J-bar and rope-tow.)
    Our efforts contributed to the decision to move fwd with creating "Sunrise Park".
    A pretty fun team, representing the Apache Nation, creating a fun side gig, as well!
    I returned to my home state of WA, where I learned down-hill-skiing, many years prior to my Active*Duty.
    Now, at 76 yrs of age, I am yearning to return to the Sun*Valley And, the White*Mountains!

    Fantastic video Trail Monster. We are camped here in the area now and it's opening weekend in a few days and hoping to hit the trails. There is still snow at the top of the mountain so should ad some excitement- Kyle

    I was there a few weeks ago and they have installed foam on the lift chairs to protect the bikes. They must be watching :-). Had a great time up there and I loved the techy trails. I agree that they need to improve the signage. Took me quite a while to get it down.

    Put some protective stickers in that area on your bike. Its Beautiful Up There. My Younger Sister Lives up in that Area and i go up in that area every year. I might be going up again in August.

    • @trailmonster
      @trailmonster  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are planning to do another ride up there in mid/late August as well. I used to have a cheap ride ride wrap on my bike but it got all tore up so I took it off. I seen another rider up there that had his bike ride wrap destroyed in that same spot from rubbing on the chair lift chair but at least his paint was mostly protected.

    @TrailMonster. Loved you video. Helpful information. Question--do you know if they allow ebikes? In our group there are 2 riders that have them. I can't find any information about them. I do know they'll have to be ok with lifting the heavy bike onto the lift. Thank you.

    i found this video the day after i rode sunrise bike resort. i must admit i was disappointed after the first couple runs down the mountain. i was expecting jumps and berms and … after i got to know the trails a little better i started enjoying it. it is cheap and very technical… but worth it.

    • @trailmonster
      @trailmonster  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's actually why I made this video, to help inform riders kind of what to expect, or not expect when going to this park. The riders in Tucson and Phoenix are used to this type of riding so it's fun having the lift but it would still be nice to have a few jump lines and berms etc.

    Nice, I feel as though you can do most if not all of these trails on a hardtail. You don’t need an enduro.

    • @trailmonster

      I think so but I enjoy riding chunky tech...you really do have to enjoy chunky hard tech to have fun at this park.

  • @lakshuperiakaruppan6777
    @lakshuperiakaruppan6777 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would I be able to do the green runs on a hard tail? Or should I rent a full suspension?

    • @trailmonster
      @trailmonster  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh you could do it on a hardtail but you probably wouldn't enjoy it, or at least like you would on a full suspension. Sunrise doesn't really have true green trails. Their Greens are definitely more like Blues, everything in the park is basically an intermediate or higher trail.
      I highly recommend a full suspension (even an Enduro type setup if possible, 160+ travel in front and rear) They rent a new fleet of Specialized bikes there now.
      I've had my two hardest crashes up there on "Green trails"...I recommend taking every trail extremely slow at first, like Seriously Slow the first couple laps. Hope you have a good time if you end up going, just please be safe.

    whats the best trail with flowy like tabletop jumps would you say?

    • @trailmonster
      @trailmonster  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nando's jump line or the Slalom course is the only ones I know that have table tops but they having new stuff every year so hopefully they'll put in some new stuff soon as well.

      That is so true, it's nice to get out of the heat of Southern Arizona, and be up in that cooler elevation. We are heading back up to the park this weekend, looks like it might rain quite a bit though.
