For those who don't get it, at the beginning when they introduced their characters, Darin introduced his character like that. ("2 things you have to know about me, my name is Mouzo the Chosen, and THAT'S IT.")
Holy shit, I gotta comment on De Paul's fucking RANGE, man. Like, he's this sorta kinda mousy, kindly old man voice normally and then just like, when he goes into character it's like he EXPLODES into this character who is like three times the size. He's a force of nature, man. Props.
Yeah I forgot he was the voice actor for reinhardt in overwatch
I think his role as emperor Valkorion in Star Wars The Old Republic is even better than Reinhardt
He did a fantastic job as Valkorion. One of my favorite voices and characters in the old republic series.
Same with travis being able to go from deep deep grog to super high version
Ikr? He himself always tells how his wife says that he looks like an accountant but sounds like a monster. He's just godlike here.
Darin de Paul is the only person I know that can play DnD in full three piece suit comfortably

Honestly, if you get a really nice suit they can be quite comfortable. Always thought dressing up nice was synonymous with being uncomfortable until my wife convinced me to actually get a suit tailored to me. I absolutely love getting the chance to wear it.

With over 300 hours of Shadow of War gameplay, I am happy to say that a majority of my army consist of Darin, Travis, and Matt.

Hey, hey, hey man... MUDs are still in... In fact, the one he referenced is The Two Towers MUD (t2tmud.org), which I and other people do still play. There are also quite a few others out there with different themes. I watch Critical Role and happened to stumble on this video actually when I was researching some LotR/D&D ideas for T2T. @@quiotu

Every time they say Grog, I was expecting Travis to say, "yes?"
In the Shadow of Mordor game, when you enter Uruk's Hollow to poison the grog barrels, you can hear Uruks singing a song about grog. I swear, it sounds like a choir of Grog Strongjaws.

You should watch the charity stream they did back in the day on Geek and Sundry where they played the Deadlands Reloaded system (the one they used for Undeadwood) the first time.

Darin De Paul is an incredible role player
I love Critical Role but can you imagine other themed Campaigns: Witcher, Red Dead, Bioshock, Star Wars!? I want it!!!!!
RJ Garcia III there already is a Witcher game (only released in Polish), you can use Deadlands as a basis for Red Dead, I've seen a Bioshock game using the storyteller rules and there's already a fair few Star Wars RPG.
I think the CR folks doing a Star Wars one-shot would be kinda epic.

Laura playing a big dumb brute especially a troll is such a perfect mirror of travis's role as grog stonejaw. Its epic gold and I found myself paying far more attention to her character then the others, though everyone did a good job. I can hear travis's brain going "Thats my wife!" every time Arby speaks lol.

5' 9" might not be huge like Travis or even 6' Sam, but I don't know if I'd call him "small ". Dapper definitely though.

Not buying the game is not how you show you don't like tat. Buy the game but not the micro transactions.
Besides, they have shown so many interesting Uruks and Ologs that you might encounter, I'm so excited for Shadow of War that I'm practically bouncing off the walls....and I haven't felt that way about a game for a very long time, like back when I was still going to High School (which was about 11 years ago!).
I mean, just look at "the Tower", "Tasty", "the Bard" etc. The Tower in particular looked and sounded amazing! I loved the lines they showed from him, where first he said this: "Before we do battle, know this: I will endure more pain than you can possibly fathom. The Tower's armor will see to that." And then, after getting recruited (when most other recruits say something like "I serve you, Bright Lord!"), he simply says: "You stand before....the Tower."
The way I see it, there are two things you should do with this video:

I love how the cast essentially played the opposite of their characters in the game here.
Big strong uruk--->spindly little goblin archer
Gigantic dumb olog-hai--->cunning manipulative mage
Elegant elven assassin------>big brutish olog defender
I forgot who/what role Sam played in the game, but outside of Matt (who played a godlike being both in the game and here) everyon played as the polar opposite of their in-game versions and I love it.
I will be disappointed if I don't come across an orc called "Grog strongjaw" when i eventually get this game.......

Darin DePaul said in a panel of his that he played D&D with either Mercer's Mother or Grandmother so it's interesting seeing him carry on the playing through the family line

Just in general, Darin really kept up with Sam, Travis, and Laura, who happen to be my favorite players. So well done to him! And I loved Sam's lower voice and general awesomeness, Laura's adorable troll voice, and Travis's high-pitched goblin!

As an American (Californian to be exact) I can confirm that Olog spit, dirty bandages & old wine is indeed better then our medical system.
Raina P I know it’s a mess but to be honest socialized health care isn’t really free it’s taxpayer funded and not worth it there’s countries like Mexico and Cuba that offer free healthcare but the countries are a mess and little to no food and jobs can be found socialism isn’t really sunshine and rainbows were actually pretty advanced and health insurance is a thing so there’s that we’re not bad place to love as many people believe.
@@adrianjuarez8079 163 countries have universal healthcare, and of them you can list two that are "bad" and ever there you are wrong Cuba is ranked 39th in the world and Mexico is ranked 61st. Any issues these countries might have has nothing to do with universal healthcare.

that makes her RPing a playing beautiful for me, I hate perfection and perfectionists to some degree and for me failling is the most important part of learning, not saying Marisha gets a bit too real(as in being bad) sometimes but the hate is just unnesesery bitching at this point

Paulas facial expressions as stupid Olog are awesome, seeing Travis being a goblin makes me laugh almost as much he does, Sam being Sawboney and aaalmost smart and Darren just Owning his role is just.. inspiration guys. Thank you. Can’t wait to get to playing.

I love the level of nerd that is revealed by watching all the Critical Role episodes. Sure you have the basic of reading tolkein, but then you start hearing them playing MUDs. It's awesome.
I love everything about this. Everyone performed so well in character, but Travis. Man. Yet again, you get so well into character, with the voice and the mind set. Every person at the table, really. So enjoyable.
Travis's voice here is EVERYTHING. ah-MAZING

I've put so many hours into Shadow of War and not only am I excited to find out that Critical Role played a part in it, but listening to them talk and converse, I could imagine actual uruks from the game talking.
Watching in 2020 and Laura with a large maul/mace is still the most adorable thing ever XD
