@Sloppy Mechanics I recently bought a VS Cast 7875 Special Build. It has the early Gen 2 compressor housing (unsure if the Gen 2 cast wheel is any different from the Gen 1 cast wheel) and the Gen 2 1.25 divided turbine housing machined to work with the Gen 1 turbine wheel. Wow, that was a mouth full! I have searched through your TH-cam videos, and didn't see much using the Cast 7875 stuff. How far do you think this turbo can go on a 5.8L (or a 6.0L if you prefer. haha) before it's done. Thanks
I see 4,000 people have viewed this in 5hrs, but not even 200,000 subscriptions...come on folks! I wanna see what Richard would do with 250,000 subscribers!!!! He’s done amazing things all ready, so let’s get the #’s wayy up here 💪🏻 support the best channel!
Yes, more turbo stuff. I would like to see more stuff on boost response and the turbine (hot side) of the turbo combos. Like back pressure readings and how that affects the reliability of the engine. Thanks, and keep it coming.
Yes, I want to see the videos. They're really good info for not only those wishing to replicate the test engines, but also those looking at turbo sizing for engines of similar displacements.
Yes. Lets see more turbos. I would like to see a comparison between 1 large turbo like the VS7875 and 2 smaller turbo with the aim to show low speed response for a street deal. LS 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0.
Please all the turbo stuff you can! It is the way to.get 700-800 hp without anything stupid! And you really are the greatest! Building systems are of real interest! Thank you for taking the time for doing all of this work and testing!
yes yes yes! more turbo comparison videos!! I want a fast spooling turbo that can run 6k without too much back pressure on my 6.0 LS (LY6) Thank you for your information Richard
Hey Richard thank you for this video and other videos related to the VS 7875 and K Series. We have used this info on our 944 Turbo 16V Landspeed car project. We jumped up from a VS 67/62 to the 78/75 this year and man was it worth it! We made 596hp at 6500rpm and 20psi yesterday putting us well on our way to 200mph and the world's fastest stock configuration 944. Thank you again for doing what you do!
You are on top of the comments! Just to be clear we haven't gone 200 with the car yet. We did 167 this past year at The Loring Timing Association with 375whp. So with the new Turbo and 596hp we should be able to get to our goal of 200mph before Gramp can't get in the car anymore, he's a pretty young 75 so we have some time! Thanks again
@@MustangCrazyMan72 Remember, ya dont need as much cam when ya got boost! 236 @ .050 keeps it streetable. And its HUGE compared to the stock cam. Even the 365hp 440 of 68-70 only had 206 @ .050. Late 70s motorhomes probably less.
@@donellmuniz590 I'm putting a 236 @.050 with .588 lift cam in my little 351w with 88mm turbo and high ports for a street class. Big block needs more cam to offset power to weight ratio.....just my humble opinion, but I'll for more BB turbo testing.
Yes absolutely Ritchard! We would like to see the other videos showing the other turbos getting tested! Yes all of them! And by the way nice job on the Honda exhaust manifold. Sometimes we just have to get the job done!!! Not looking for a beauty contest prize winner, but looking to get the job done. Mission accomplished! Your awesome Ritchard!!!
First off thank you for all you do, second I got a video pitch for you Richard. Turboing Self learning EFI to see if it self tunes and garage guys can run it safely without going to a dyno.
Yesssss! More turbos, more engines! I'd like to know your recommended turbos for various uses for different engines (what kicks in early for the street, what makes best peak hp). I know thats a lot... thanks and keep up the great content!
YES 100% ma man...definitely want more videos...I live my lives boost dreams vicariously through you sir cuz I will never have the opportunity to do so myself! You rock sir!
Yes!! More turbos Richard!! I like *ALL* the content on your channel!! Especially "The Other Guys" & all "Mild to Wild" builds!! Something for everyone ... Would really like to see a Northstar on the "The Other Guys" series...
absolutely would enjoy this same format for a s480 and a 75. I'd also like to see the larger singles on a 6.0 and a 5.3. Thanks for all you do, I look forward to every vid
I would like to see test, of course I would, the more data the better. I would like to see the difference between a dedicated twin scroll turbo compared to a single scroll.
I LOVE these turbo comparisons! I actually have one of those Chinese GT45s and I’m going to replace it. This will give me a huge advantage in which one to buy!
Yes Richard, I want to see more of the turbo videos, and and na videos, and parts comparison videos and and any other videos that include a dyno graph!
Yes, love the turbo segments. Especially the junk yard experiments. Haven't viewed a lot of your videos yet! But I would love to see a ring gapped SBF 5.0, 5.8 that makes decent to good power yet be safe and live for a while on the street.
Yes really appreciate seeing how specific turbos perform on various engine. Would like to see more specific tests with gen 1 sbc that are not cammed for 7000 rpm. I have 5.7 sbc that runs to 6000 max rpm that is primarily a street machine with 1-2 road course track days in a 240z. Looking for good spool and low back pressure at 5000 rpm with 7-10 psi boost.
Yes Richard we want to see that more of those kinds of videos , throwing some boost map data plots where the different Motors sit on the same turbo would be awesome
@@richardholdener1727 fair enough, the ones that do it would be beneficial to see the data correlated. And for clones like the gt45 use the name sake map.
I think everyone would like to see some of the particulars when you do tests like this. For instance, it has this A/R exhaust housing and this is the backpressure on X engine at X amount of boost. Everyone would like that data. If you could swap housings when the BP gets high, that would be awesome data as well.
It would be cool to see more turbo comparisons, yes. And perhaps some where you swap just the backhousing, or try the same compressor w/ several different turbines on the same engine, etc
7875 is my dude
More turbo and techno action

This test. The smaller K29 might be a nice turbo for the street I have never found any info on the LS using it.
Agreed, especially with an affordable turbo like the VSR lineup.
Absolutely, I like the turbo specific stuff. Ball bearing vs. journal bearing, billet wheel vs. cast etc. would be cool to see.

Yes, I want to see videos like that, specially one about the S475 Turbo!
I like turbos. It’s wild to me the same turbo could be effective on such vastly different displacements. Also those K24 N/A numbers are wild.
Yes we want to see those videos! I'm interested in the little Cxracing

A video on how to select the right turbo would be great. Whick A/R to use? How to know if it's too big or too small?
Love to see you push some engines into the stratosphere using big turbos and big boost.
please see the Big Bang videos

Yes, Richard! Run that 1.32 t6 s480 on that mopar 440!!
not needed for 500 hp
It would be awesome to see all those turbo's tested.
Heck yes!! to more turbo and turbo comparison content.
Even better when using one of the other guys engines in the testing.
