I've been watching your old videos, just cause I can't get enough. I even tried other scrapers videos, & it isn't the same, nothing comes close to your videos, wish they were longer but like you say, it is what it is, watch yo head.
My boys just have to watch right after school. They are hooked with me. We just finished taking down a 3 bedroom trailer. And they got paid and they are going on my next trailer. Thanks for taking us along. Take care 🙂
I so agree with you about the scrappers who tear open trash bags. I have unsubscribed from and quit watching two different scrappers for doing that. Thank you for choosing not to. You are by far my favorite scrapper. You are also the hardest working scrapper on youtube.
Never understand why people don't donate to habitat for humanity salvation army or local Christian ladies resale. It's not difficult and they'll tell you if they'll take it.
It's all about the feel of the bag. If it's squishy and has bugs, avoid at all costs. I pulled $400 in silver plated silverware out of a trash can. Dug to the bottom. I pulled hundreds of dollars in hand tools out of another. Sometimes it's worth a look. It's all about being quiet and picking up after yourself. The tools one was my neighbor who died and tossed everything. Apparently he was a hoarder. I got nine toolboxes full of snap-on, old craftsman, makita and other brands of tools. A radial arm saw, motorcycle parts from a Goldwing, Jeep parts, Atari gear, fine China, entire dish sets, and a ton more. Apparently there were eight rollaway dumpsters and I noticed on the last one. I stuffed my van about eight times from that house alone, since I live two blocks from that house. I had a hunch with a bunch of excess bags on the curb with pickup tags, so I took all five home. I pulled out astrology equipment, two vintage Seiko self-winding watches, one which I wear now, a vintage Timex, a custom made set of mathematicians' compass and tools, hundreds of dollars in Yankee candles, most not even lit yet, and a ton of other stuff. It was a surgeon who died and his kids tossed everything, including his doctorate certificates, awards and family photos. I even got a couple expensive wallets and paintings out of the bags. Antique books in German dated to the 1890s and early 1900s, gold rimmed China, a couple pieces expensive collectors China, and more that I can't remember. The watches were valued at around $800 for all three, the wallets were about $50 for one, and $250 for the other because it's a rare etched vintage. I haven't found an appraiser for the rest of it, but it's just wrong to throw some of that stuff out. I still have all the medical documents, I'm waiting until I have a free day to see if the library wants the documents for their archives. Usually when I see a large amount of tagged excess bags and there's good stuff in them, there's more in the can. I spent about an hour quietly emptying the entire can onto the sidewalk at 2am to sift through broken glass and piles of books for the treasure, which there was a TON of in the can. I spent about another 10 minutes when I was done picking up every scrap I took out of the can. Also always check the cans of the rich. I got a $150 pair of Wolverine steeltoe boots from one, still brand new. Used them for my job for almost a year. Another I found a 5' inflatable goose that I named Bob. Unfortunately I haven't made the effort to sell anything yet, but I hope to soon.
