Goes to show it’s a throw away society ,that forces us to not repair , but to buy again and again.Love watching you ,like the effects when you was breaking the blades on the fan light lol
I see you found a Nerf football when I was a kid we played with darts. They were huge darts. You threw them and tried to make it in the circle 20 30 feet away. Very fun.
That Stanley piece of furniture was made where I live. Sadly it is all made overseas now. Part of the factory burned down in the early 1990s. I was in the volunteer fire department and helped with that fire.
My hubby ask what I was grinning for? Then it hit me it was the fan blade noises, by the end of the video I had a big smile on my face then hubby said I guess Mike said ( peace) he knows me so well! Stay safe, see you on the next one! ✌🙂
You are my number one. On all of TH-cam. In the middle you got good scrape but said there was more interesting stuff. Oh I thought so too and would have loved seeing you collect it!
Mike the Ceiling Fan "Killer" - ah ! Great Street Scrapping - Good Stuff indeed ! It was a Gas Up Kind of a Day - That Guy was Super Nice and Betty was Bursting Full - very Successful - well done Mike and many Cheers from Australia !!!!
8:30 The stationary bike has "...been around the block!" 10:49 Dang it! That looks like the model we bought about six months ago! Already on the curb! 16:19 That cast iron cauldron looks like an old one. Worth $ even in that condition. People plant flowers in them but drill or break out the bottom so that they won't hold water. If they don't, the plants can stay too wet, or the cauldron freezes during the winter, and it breaks. Shame, those are very hard to find now, harder still to find intact. Originally used by pioneer families in Texas for laundry, boiling water for hog slaughtering after the first hard coldspell, or any other job needing a lot of hot water. One of my other relatives got the one from my grandparents. They can be worth quite a bit. Saw one with a drilled bottom that sold for about $100 about twenty years ago.
I was cutting trees on an old cattle ranch the sign on the fence said it was in the same family for more than 150 years. The old rancher asked me to cut this one limb off and then he starts telling me that there is a piece of chain imbedded in the limb and that is where they had a big iron pot hanging so they could make soap over a fire about two feet from the base of that tree.
@christophertaylor2464 yep! Nearly everyone had one of those large pots. It was used for all kinds of tasks that needed lots of volume, like soap making. My grandparents had a tree where they hung a singletree for prepping hogs. After killing, the hog was hoisted up, and the cauldron was full of boiling water. Then boiling water was poured over them. It caused the coarse hog hair to release, making it easier to scrape off before butchering. They raised, fished for, hunted, or grew practically everything they ate. Maybe at a very young age, I ate beef at their house, but I don't actually recall ever doing so.
I remember watching a video a couple of years back, where a professional washer & dryer repairman who’d been in the business for decades, talked about these fancy new high efficiency front loading washers are hot garbage and only last a few years. He said he told customers to avoid buying them at all costs and just buy the old fashioned top loading washers if at all possible.
I love watching all your videos. Where are you at? You remind me so much of my friend Toby!!!! I love riding along with you. I used to do quite a bit of this before my injury.
It's a good thing you scavenge only metal for the junkyard because if you were a scavenger for other things, you'd be a hoarder. It's amazing what people throw away. The bicycle, burnpit, and tennis rackets all look brand new.
A saddle rack in the suburban, it is Texas. I've seen the comments regarding the screaming of the fan blades, you should surprised the viewers by changing the sound for each blade.
Mike, great videos. Here is a tip for you. Those canisters that you run across that you say, 'your scrap yard want take but other scrap yards do". Why not stock-pile all of those tanks for a rainy day and take them all to the scrap yards that do. It would be a nice pay day for you. Second, my nephew in South Carolina; his scrap yard will take them if they are crushed or if two holes are drilled in them. Same goes for fire extinguishers. Check with your yard and see if this way is also acceptable. My nephew also has an uphostery shop that buys all of his executive chairs that people seem to throw away when they get a little rip in them. They pay him $8-12 for each one depending on the chair. Mike, you are too smart to let money slip through your fingers. Also, go out and buy a damn trailer and start stock-piling aluminum cans. Phil, your biggest fan from Thailand.
hey with all scrap packing you do you must be realy good at playing tetris. plus you are by far the most funny scrap man on youtube. keep them ther videos coming
Great finds. Rip the doors off of washer and dryers and fill them with scrap. Lots of extra space to use, it was right there close to you for you to fill near the end of the video at the last place. Keep it up!
I absolutely love all your videos. I cannot believe the SCRAP you find, how you pick things up like you do is unreal, then making it fit into Betty White, Amazing… Thanks Mike Karen New Orleans Louisiana ✌🏼⚜️🐾🐾

That one pile reminds me of Poly Profit!
It says a lot about the quality of these newer appliances….that dryer was a really new model…and it’s already being sent to the garbage lol…
Samsung brand really is garbage. Expensive garbage.
I remember watching a video a couple of years back, where a professional washer & dryer repairman who’d been in the business for decades, talked about these fancy new high efficiency front loading washers are hot garbage and only last a few years. They had a recall on Samsung washing machines. I had one.
With the digital technology in the new appliances, although a shame , it's cheaper to replace the entire unit than to replace parts
Samsung had a recall on washing machines. I had one and got back over $400 if I remember correctly.
