Very creative and your dad's skills are superb. How is the unvented aspect going? I have a hood that will need replacing and given space restrictions I might go that route ... but I'm concerned about cooking fumes being bandied about my kitchen. Keep up the good work!

I know - I don't care for non-vented hoods. This cover that Andrew made is beautiful, but it seems like a lot of work for a non-vented hood. I was thinking the reason he went with something so substantial was to hide the vent ducts that would go all the way up and out. In any case, it's beautiful, and I'm so IMPRESSED that he and his parents do such detailed and precise work.

Nicely done, Andrew. It turned out nice. I like that u kept some of the old paint colors with that blue and gray that came through after sanding. I look forward to seeing ur next project.

Nicely done! I am always amazed at the minds of artists, how they can take castoffs and make things of beauty.

No thank you Andrew. I’m an artist and have a difficult time getting my contractor to understand my vision and to execute my ideas. I found beautiful Bakelite outlet covers in almond and he said why do you want that old stuff😂?Anyway I’m purchasing all of my outlet and gif covers on Amazon to match my decor, which is a mix of craftsman, Art Deco and art nouveau 😍

That's not modern, it's just ugly. Where is your ducting?
Why do people install stuff like this before they fix their walls? Now you have a giant ugly thing on your wall you have to work around and you can't do anything about all the chipped paint and crap that is going to fall down behind that thing and eventually make it's way into your food.
