I have found that any appliance service is done by removing the filter panels. As far as the paint finish, you can refer to my TH-cam video on standard cabinet finishes. On this job the color was Alabaster White. Thank you very much for visiting...I also appreciate your feedback.
Thanks for the response. I believe by accident I purchased the same hood. My hood came with L brackets only. I can’t see a way of using those brackets. If you came up with a good solution I would like to see it so I don’t have to reinvent the method.

You didn't show how you attached the insert to the cabinet! Seems like a glaring omission.

Does the appliance slide in from the bottom or down through the top to rest on the lip?
