    Also you should have a link to purchase the camera, as you put the work in, others do it, with reviews that are nowhere near the quality of yours.
    So why shouldn't you benefit from them, and it will be a help for those people looking to buy one without the fuss...

    Hi, can anyone tell me why does the camera screen go into sleep mode when I have the AutoOn/down closed? Shouldn't it stay on while recording? I don't have the TF card yet in it. Could this be the cause? Or it turns off but continues to record?

    Good review, but missing night rec. Did you? Okay, it's low budget segment, but missing what this tutorial tells about Field-of-view (also known as FOV). Also this lens has a fixed "fish-eyes" to obtain 170 degree scale. Usually you can se this fixed lens at right/left side of records clips, particularly noticeable for vertical streaks / elements / are not vertical like the original but bent out to the sides. Observed this especially at near record square plate. Low price, but not my first choice, but you did a nice video of what this product really was. Thanks.

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Difficult to put everything into a review mate, it's already a long video. FOV . Some cameras let you choose wide (normal 170) middle and narrow, but you lose quality with middle and narrow as it just uses a smaller part of the sensor.

      I received my Campark yesterday. Took twenty short videos, about two hours worth on two different outings. All of the videos had small checkered blurred areas on the top right and left, very noticeable on the computer monitor. Of course I cleaned the lens very well before the second outing and it still rendered the small circular blurred areas. I don't see this issue in your video footage. I'm going to send it back and reorder the same Campark... What do you think?

    Great video, straight to the point. I have 2 questions...I will mainly be using it for my walking hobby, is there a windsock available to cut out wind noise or is there a mic I can buy? Also, is there any way for me to wear it on my head without attaching it to a helmet etc? TIA.

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think wind noise is always a problem with built in mikes if it's windy. You won't get it in the case, but you won't get much audio at all in the case unless it has an open ventilated back. I've got some fur material at home and was planning to make a cover. I think you need to cover all the body and just have the lens protruding really. You can try felt over the mike holes? No external mike available AFAIK.

    • @Dave-Evans73

      Many thanks for the quick reply Bob. May try the felt option.

    Is the Campark a trimmed down version of the Eken H9R (R for remote version of H9) with different firmware? Good colour and focus, FOV seems fixed, no settings for that. Not really a problem as I have never used the FOV options anyway. No Image Stabilization setting [Gyro] which is strange. very minimal and seems they have concentrated on picture quality rather than a bunch of options. For the novice probably a good idea.

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I tested the H9R as well. I noticed a similarity in the firmware as well. Good picture.

  • @Ladylovin
    @Ladylovin 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Okay, I'm torn between Campark, AKASO, and the ODRVM. What is your opinion as far as what is the superior action camera? I see there is a little bit of a price difference between each one and, most definitely don't mind paying a little more for a better device, but if the difference isn't that significant $50 is better than $84. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Akaso is very good, ODRVM has gyro stabilisation and is good. Hard choice!

  • @ashghinn4630
    @ashghinn4630 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the review!
    You mention wind noise on your harbour shot. I've tried using various devices to restrict it as wind noise seems to ruin a lot of otherwise great action videos -(especially flying ones!) but although your flying clip seems a bit muffled it's fairly wind-noise free. Did you have it in the housing?

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure, but I reduce noise when editing.

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just reduced the noise in editing. I fly with cameras in an open frame mount. Felt or fur over the mike can help reduce wind noise a bit.

    • @ashghinn4630
      @ashghinn4630 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I'm on a tight budget but been particularly interested trying to capture the actual experience of flying by getting really good audio that records the vario, any radio chat, canopy rustlings, and even the pilot's breaths... but of course, all this is pie in the sky if the predominant sound is wind noise! I appreciate your thoughts on filtering the sound, but in my experience isn't very effective, and cutting out frequencies reduces realism considerably.
      I have a Campark ACT48 I bought a couple of years ago (great value for the spec) and tried various bits of foam / dead cat near the mic. It was not in a very good place internally (quite far from the "mic hole"), so picks up wind noise from all parts (especially sharp edges) of the camera. Best solution at the time was a complete foam camera "glove". Later, I wired in an auxiliary mic socket so I could fit a mic inside my helmet - which was an even better solution, although my breathing dominated most recordings! Anyway, that camera has now died, and for the same price (£50) I can buy a much better spec one (like yours) but want to know if a) I could wire in an aux mic socket, or better still, b) if wind noise could be suppressed enough with a strategically-placed lump of foam over the mic holes!

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be able to hear radio chat and vario sounds with a bit of felt over the mike holes. Try it.

    I wanted to know if you take the card put and upload or view on a computer and then put the card back it the camera, woud the original pictures/video still be on the card or would I loose everything already on the card. Thanks for your assistance.

    • @bobflyman
