- Ever find ants in your potting soil? Or snails in your aquatic plants? Well some times there can be unwanted hitch hikers in your wheat bran too! I've dealt with grain mites before and it is NO FUN...especially in an apartment....
So here's how you get rid of hitch hikers!

Bake at 275 for 45 minutes then allow to cool

Hi there. I’m so very thankful I found your video.
My question is once I bake it off do I have to sift out the dead mites? I didn’t see you do this so I’m just wondering.
I bought a 50lb of it and have been doing the endless nightmare of trying to get them out of the mixture. I was just about to go get another bag thinking I had done something wrong. I wish the feed/reptile store had told me I had to prepare this.

I got my wheat bran from Amazon the vendors name was Josh seemed really legit but I'm cooking mine now and using it all in the meal worm farm I bought 2- 5 quart bags
What’s the reasoning for having to let it cool in the oven? Why can’t I take it out to cool
Could you use freezer to kill the wheat mites? I am just starting my farm for my chickens. Thanks

That's a Argentine black and white Tegu. They're fantastic lizards, though they get rather large and need a lot of space! there's other videos about him on the channel!
