This is why it's good to be patient. I remember some people were saying; hackers have moved on to the ps5 and misled some to leave 11.00, now they're regretting. Hackers don't just move on, even ps3 are still getting some stuff.
TBF PS3 is in part due to Sony still updating it and some stuff is also not fully working either. Major PS4 hackers though HAVE also moved on as most thought this wasn't going to even be possible with how Sony was doing stuff with PS4 for the longest time.
I bought one from the pawn shop. I didn't have the patience.

Me too, managed to get mine jailbroken and goldhen installed about 4 hours before this video was loaded. As soon as I saw goldhen was released, I was installing. Took many goes but got it running on 11.0

A perfect morning, I woke up, 4TB SATA SSD from Amazon waiting outside my front door. Installed it into my PS4, recovery 11.00 install, then proceeded to watch this video and now my PS4 is jailbroken with an awesome internal storage device. Woo!

@@chiefff18 They're working on a Goldhen port for 10.00. But no word on a port for 9.60 unless there is some special exploit pertaining to 9.60, which seems to be unlikely so far.
All I can say is I'm waiting since there's no way back.

@@chiefff18 There might be some holes in the wall that's not yet patched the earlier the firmware is. That all it is.
It's possible that they don't find any useful vulnerabilities as well but I'm holding out hope.

Thank you so much on how easy you explained the process. As far i know and saw about this new jailbreak, i'll wait a little more for an easier method also, who knows, the firmware 9.03 is also included and to solve this "issue" on rebooting or shutting down the console.
Every consumer should have the right to modify their device, because we paid for it. Thank you to Andy Nguyen(The Flow) and the rest of the community.
But most are using it to get free games where game developers are not getting paid. It not the right of the consumer so stop acting self righteous.

The retail price for the console is usually lower then a cost to manufacture it and manufacturer covers this gap by selling games. If nobody will buy games it will be no consoles on the market.

@@guccigabe1163 It's in the tittle, this new version allows me and people who has a PS4 with firmware version greatest than 9.0 to jailbreak our system. Firmware CAN NOT be downgraded, generally.

@@user-om6qn9ij8kit will not work on 9.03 , you have to update your PS4 to 11.00 ver (as the goldhen is for ver 11.00) and then jailbreak the ps4

Awesome tutorial man, easy to follow, worked first try. Looking forward to what others are going to build on top of this. What are the chances this ever becomes an untethered jailbreak? Having to leave your PS4 in rest mode, or do this every time is a little frustrating. If untethered is just not an option on 11.00, it would be nice if eventually this payload could be run from some sort of game save that you load. Kudos to the big guns on this one, bravo!

@@bernardmatwai3419 Yes,, working fine on 11.00, until the PS4 went to sleep mode, I couldn't get it out of that, so I had to hard restart it, now I have to run the exploit again :(

If you get stuck on corrupt scan. Restart your pc and try a few times. When you start the bin loader it ask to install something. After that you need to Restart your pc

For anyone who has issue with goldhen not installing after a successful pwn like mine heres the solution:
Format your usb with a disk partition software! There will be hidden / extra partitions on your usb that you need gone.
I formatted my usb to exfat in ease us partition master then put golden on it and boom worked first try
I’m like a child at Christmas, can’t wait to get home and set this up on my ps4

Yep. 9.00 pisses over this exploit. Early days but this is too slow to JB imo.
Off to a good start, but wake me up when it's on wireless for the esp32-s2. And a lot of those homebrew apps and plugins will have to be updated to reflect the new firmware. Also, why am I updating when the games already work on 9.0?

Thank you for being a bastion of correct information I've been waiting a while simply to use my ps4 as a emulation machine even though i could just use my PC there's just nothing like booting it up on a console "that and the ps4 having the next best emulator compared to the older model ps3's
I've tried about 50 times now (no exaggeration) and every time the PS4 either crashes at 93% pinning to CPU 0, the stage 1 fails to find corrupted memory, or the stage 1 hangs on scanning a corrupted object indefinitely (let it sit 30minutes). Anyone else have similar issues and manage to get it working?

Within the next couple weeks GoldHen is getting ported to 10.00/10.01 too so you won't have to wait for long
I went to 11. From that same firmware I'll be a guinea pig lol I'm not even worried about this at all as I play on my PC which I have two so no biggie
