Great beginner PC content! Big fan. Going for under 1500$ build with 7800XT gpu. Was thinking ryzen 5 7600x for cpu. Gaming focused PC. Wondering if that setup is solid or if i should consider other cpu/gpu's? Thanks!
It depends a lot on what games you play and what resolution you will be playing them at. A general recommendation for 1440P gaming right now for your budget would be the Ryzen 5 7600 or 7600X as they will give you a ton of room in your budget to put towards your GPU. You could pair either with something like an RX 7900 XT or RTX 4070 Ti Super. You could probably fit a Ryzen 7 7800X3D into a $1,500 budget but it would mean a GPU downgrade. For 1080P gaming, that wouldn't be bad, though, and you could probably pair a 7800X3D with something like a 7800 XT, 7900 GRE, or RTX 4070 for ideal 1080P performance. Note, though, that Ryzen 9000 series CPUs will be available in July---the 9600X may be an option for you, but the new launch might also mean price drops for the 7000-series, which may bring the 7800X3D + 7900 XT/RTX 4070 Ti Super closer to your price range.
How do I know a certain component will fit my tower case. For example!! I have a C case and I want to swap out a graphics card. I want a more powerful one and of course I have to know if power supply will be able to handle it .
If you have the budget to get more cores and threads, that would be better. But, depending on the 6-core/12-thread processor you're considering and how much video editing you'll be doing, it could be enough.
$1500 total budget for the PC? Or $1500 for just the CPU? I'm assuming the first option, so I'd say the 13700K would be a good option as Intel CPUs perform better in Premiere Pro. You could go with an even higher-end Intel option, but it sounds like there are some serious problems with the 13900 and 14900K, and so I would avoid those.
@@TechGuided I originally went with the 13700k. I found one on sale for 230$. after learning all about Intels issues with stability and how power hungry the chips are I ended up switching it out for ryzen 9 7900. this is my first build so I don't really now how to troubleshoot and thought this option would be safer. the ryzen chip ended up costing 100$ more. 4 less cores as well. do you think the switch I made was justified?
I know its long please bear with me im desperste right now ill give you 30, no 50 bucks on patreon if you can help me find what i need😞 if you or anyone can help me out it be greatly appreciated! but 1st i need to say i got into pc building by accident(an decided i dug it!) didnt really know what i was doing when i was given a custom-build tower. i needed better performance but couldnt afford a new computer so figured id look 4 next best thing; a component of the tower, again, no clue about anything computer ((building)) just aware OF basic parts & functions an literally learned along the way, starting with learning how to wire a MB(found it suprisingly easy), that said, an to keep this to the point as possible, heres the run down...apologies if sometimes using incorrect terminology... what i was given: A [i assumed custom] Lian Li mid tower, aluminum chassis with- random holes seemingly everywhere with no clear purpose, but in use were two 240 front fan spots an fans, two 120 fan spots an fans on top, with plates if not used 8 rear bays, one 120 rear fan spot & fan a 4 3.5" bay storage stack in front bottom an 3 front optical bay spaces, a screwed on screen vent space on back side panel an 2 vents (open stripes?) bottom an back of frame for PsU, finally lil space in roof for 2 audio ports an 2 usb 2.0 ports, with lil flap door, looks clean a B360 Pro 4 MB, typical rear IO, no RGB header any kind, 2 large PCI express slots, 3 small ones, 4 M.2 ports (2 a key 2 e key) 1 usb 3.1 header, 2 usb 2.0, 1 hd audio, and on it a... i3 Cpu core one stock RAm card a 350W PSU with 4 total sata an 4 molex plus a pwn all on 2 cables a dvd drive a 5.25 media dashboard with 5 card slots 2 audio 2 usb A 3.0(teal) 2 fan dial controls a sata port and what looked like that old s cable port but says 5v left side an 12v on right what i migrated from my old computer: My Nividea Geforce rtx 4030 Gpu two 3.5" 950 & 650 gb HdD one 2tb 2.5" SSd what i initially added was: 1 more 3.5" 1tb Hdd 1 more 500 gb 2.5" Ssd 2 new Corsair 8GB DDR4 cards one 1tb NvMe sata Ssd on top M.2 NOW...present day, im getting back Into video editing etc. I found AI programs to help my workflow but my computer keeps crashing. Thus started a long journey to remedy the issue, 1st thought ok it needs more RAM SO, 1st i got 2 new Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4 3.6Gh cards, still crashing ok i need better CPU So I got an Intel Core i9-9900KF Desktop Processor 8 Cores up to 5.0 GHz Turbo Unlocked Without Processor Graphics LGA1151 300 Series 95W I thought for sure that's all I'll need Until I was advised of all the heat that it produces, I would need a radiator cooler. As well as all the power that it consumes as well as my other components. And that I would need a more powerful PSU. (See where this is going🙄) so I got ID-COOLING SL240 Liquid AIO Cooler with display, Dual AF127 ARGB Fans an evga suoernova 850w 80+ gold fully modular PSU And I thought that was it, but now the radiator will not fit. And I'm afraid to put the CPU under full utilization without it. Getting too hot, so now I'm trying to find a new case if you can help me with 2 things 1st explain or tell me if I got the right cpu, If I need a new or better motherboard and core all together and what kind of case to get me? I'm trying to find a case that has both a 2 sided tempered glass, but also with at least 2 optical drives slots for my media dashboard and DVD drive., Is there like a case where they pop out where the PSU shroud would be? If there is no case that exists that has both those attributes , then I found a couple cases I'd be down to get, so Just the CPU. If I got the right one, and if not, which 1 should I get. Do I need a new motherboard? And is there a case that has those qualities that i'm looking for, I'll patreon u 50 bones if you can help with this
the first person i understood cpu's from thanks man
thank god finally a comprehensive build guide without sad attempts at slap stick humor that so many buy into
Agreed! I love this guy’s straightforward approach
Holy shit I finally get it. THANK you so fucking much man, the amount of likes is CRIMINALLY underrated you saved my life.
Thank you for such a clear explanation. I have looked for many videos but yours was truly the best🙏 keep doing what you do💪🏼
Thank you for watching!
Great explanation. Think I'm gonna go with an I5 12600KF for my next build, it's on sale for $159 right now
Very Well Explained, Thanks
Thank you for making this video
No problem! Thank you for watching!

What CPU do you recommend for a $1500 budget the purpose is mainly gaming

Can a motherboard from 5 years ago be upgraded with a modern GPU/CPU?
Are 6 cores 12 threads enough for gaming and video editing? Or do I need 8 cores 16 threads?
If you have the budget to get more cores and threads, that would be better. But, depending on the 6-core/12-thread processor you're considering and how much video editing you'll be doing, it could be enough.

Never heard cache pronounced like that 😂
Wow, TIL. Apparently, some Aussies say "kaysh" so I'm just going to blame them?
