What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, we're at Swindon Train Station, where we meet PC7823 who thinks it's illegal to film in to a British Transport Police Office lol. Craziness, he came out alright in the end really, but he was a bit over the top.
Interview day. "What qualities do you believe you have to be a security guard?" . Answer " I'm an insecure tosspot" . Consider yourself hired .
“So, can you please stop what you’re doing?”
“No”

The first security officer as is often the case tried to ' Big Himself Up' but instead ended up looking clueless!!!

Absolutely, they used to be 2d……spent many hours on the end of platforms with an Ian Allen book …train drivers used to wave as the pulled away …… loved the Western Class….

If customers are not travelling by train but wish to access the station platform - for example where there are ticket barriers in operation and they wish to assist someone onto the train or if they are a railway enthusiast - they may need to buy a Platform Ticket, depending on the discretion of staff.
Not all train companies still issue Platform Tickets but where they are still sold they cost ten pence (10p) and can only be purchased from the station ticket office. There is no charge to assist a disabled passenger to a train.
At other stations without barriers, unstaffed stations or at stations managed by certain train companies a Platform Ticket may not be required and customers are advised to check with the ticket office, where possible, before entering the platform. Each train company will advise their retail staff of their policy on Platform Tickets.

It's also a contract, so that causes them problems if they get uppity.
I've got a few platform tickets videos. In Dundee it was a trainspotting form I had to fill out. Everywhere else was 10p platform tickets
@@johnfellows2867 the price doubled in the 1970s lol … it was still good value… I remember buying a runabout ticket - a whole weeks unlimited travel from Yatton to Totnes …. Including Up to WSM , Barnstaple and down to the English riviera.. I think it was £12.00 in about 1972 - great fun as a young lad.

The office building manager not very bright. What if an important client of the tenants were filming their visit while in the area, wouldn't look good at all. In addition to planning applications, letting agents have numerous brochures available. When the property was for sale, asking £3.3 million over 29k ft2 office space and 8 tenants. Sales brochure offers general floor layouts and numerous photos over 14 pages. Likely more detailed floor plans and history readily available at Planning. 😎

Am I becoming paranoid ? I'm a retired police sergeant and I can't remember ever in my service coming across so many non UK born people telling us what we can and can't do. My understanding is that to gain SIA certification you need to be able to speak English and have a basic understanding of common law. Either the system is being fiddled or their badges are fake.

Why don't you audit the railways in Wales, such as Heart of Wales or the Cambrian Line, then you will find out how poxy the service really is. The rollingstock is of early post war vintage and the infrastructure is of museum exhibit quality.

GWR, that's an insult to a once fine railway company. The original GWR actually ran their trains on time and integrated their timetables with Crosville their own bus company. In just ONE weekend they changed their entire network from broad gauge to standard gauge. The new mickey mouse GWR struggle to repair a set of points in a weekend.

Section 33 only provides a definition of what is considered as publically accessible in law. It gives no rights for you to remain once asked to leave by the land owner or their agent. The security guard may be a pr1ck, but he was within his rights. The copper was wholly incorrect of course (surprise, surprise).
This turd should be prosecuted for assaulting you in public... and his SIA license is not displayed as well. Definitely a criminal offence
