Yes, I love Temu for the good stuff that's on there. But a lot of it is various sorts of scams. If you buy filament from there, I have had really good deals. But ALWAYS CHECK THE WEIGHT. Often enough you see 'deals' where you see a 1kg spool on the picture, the price is really good for 1 kg. But then you check the item, and the weight of the spool is actually 250 gram. So the effective price is 4x as much.
Tool… I’ve been 3-D printing for about a year now and I have pretty much every single tool that you mentioned. I probably paid more for everything but a lot of stuff I got on Temu…. One thing that I can’t live without is a nail drill…. This is a tool that’s typically used in nail salons it’s basically a small handheld rotary tool that has bits that grind away your fingernails but the bits work surprisingly well on plastic I’ve gone through a few of the cheaper ones and the motors eventually wear out but I’ve got one of the bigger units with a rechargeable USB battery pack and a digital speed regulator knob… and it’s absolutely fantastic for cleaning up 3-D prints with so many different bits. It can get into anywhere you need to get into. I think I spent $32 Australian on it. There are cheaper and there are more expensive but this one seems to be lasting me quite well, it’s a separate battery with the controls on it and a coiled cable that connects to the rotary tool. It makes cleaning any 3-D print very short work.
Tool: Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I would say to definitely add flush cutters and a good flexible bed scraper on to your list. The heat gun you've got in your kit looks really useful. Thanks again.
Ive brought a few things for 3D printing off Temu. I found a intresting thing to get supports out of REALLY tight places, Lock picks!!! Some are barbed so you can slide it in, twist and pull, Great for getting support out of small holes rather than having to drill it out.
:( Things do seem to seem out fast. When doing my order a few things sold out by the time I went to check out. But was able to find the same thing under a different listing.
This is called 'dropshipping' factories do not have anything in stock, they sell directly the stuff that rolls out. This means that products are always 'limited' 'almost sold out'. But 5 days later a new batch is on that's again selling out soon. Also always check the actual price and ignore the '80% off' that's already listed on the normal price. I have never seen a product on Temu with less than '50% off'...
The normal prices on the stuff I picked up were less than what I’ve seen elsewhere so not a huge difference. I think the hot staple gun was the most expensive item at $25 or so.
The 90% off was from the 'regular' prices that are already supposedly '50-70% off'. Still, I for that code to work you need to use the app, and I do not trust such an app on my pc or mobile. Still, a large silicone mat is still a great deal for less than €5. The 50 cents is really just giving it away for future return customers. Oh, and of course you also need to get at least €20 ($20?) of products before they will even sell anything to you. But then the transport is free (!).
Iv used this site for all my FDM and resin printing great products and there miniature drill sets are very good and there electrical parts ie wire connectors and various Electronic packs are great for cosplay.
Tool, I find a 3D pen is very useful. You can get by with the very cheap ones, but I paid a little bit more for one with the digital display, having used both it was definitely worth it.
@@DaveRigDesign fill in gaps, join parts. If you need to drill in to a part, you'll probably go infill, you can then reinforce the infill. Lock things like nuts and bolts or magnets in to parts.
Tool, I really liked the sanding rods and will be looking for them. Ball end hex keys are ok, but square end will not round out the sockets on your screws. Both have their uses. I picked up a small "Graphite felt welding blanket" pad I use under my soldering iron station.
Tool 1 - 3DGloop - for really sticking parts together - but does dry out over a couple of years, if not used. 2 - Magigoo - for great 'glass bed' adhesion. Lasts for quite a few prints even if only printing sporadically. when hot almost impossible to remove, until cool, and then print just releases. When bed needs cleaning - water washes it of easily.
I’ve been looking to get some 3d gloop but can never seem to find it local. Used Magigoo a lot but recently with my newer printers with PEI sheets I haven’t needed it
Don't know if it's because I'm in UK but the prices are way, way more than what you have in the description Still a good list of tool ideas for me to try and get 👍
i did the coupon and everything i could think of (both online and in the app), and every original price that you listed, is what they are charging. on the initial page it shows the real low price, when i go to the cart, it shows the 100% price. it'll say like "pay $20 today, but total is like $200".
I've been a Temu customer for quite a while and bought many things from them. When I tried to buy some of the things mentioned in this video and applied the coupon code, I got a message back that I was no eligible for the coupon. Then I cancelled the whole order...

Unfortunatly, those kind of heatset inserts aren't meant for 3d printing. Those kinds are used in injection moulding. For 3d printing you need to have threads along the whole lenght of heatset insert so that it can "bite" better into plastic

Almost all products sold by Temu are of really poor quality: cheap steel that can barely withstand stress, unusable tolerances in production and, worst of all, many highly toxic substances in the plastic! Hands off Temu!
Cheap shit is cheap shit. You get the same products from the same factories whether you're shopping from Temu, Aliexpress or amazon. I have found the quality to be far better than expected for the price. But then the price is really low.
lol. Haven’t heard that before, it refers to imperial/standard units, feet/inches because the US and I think one other country still uses it. The rest of the world uses metric. To be fair here in Canada it’s common to use both depending on what is being measured.
I use the plastic razor all the time. It’s good for cleaning up fried resin and most glues. It’s also pretty good at cleaning up oversprays of paints and varnishes. My applications are not just 3D printing, but leathercrafts, woodworking and jewelry making. I use the plastic razor about 3 times per week.
Funny that I don't do any 3d printing but have most of these tools for my craft room. Just bought the plastic repair tool for my bumper had to fix that.
TEMU review video links don't really work as Temu constantly remove and add things to take out bad reviews. It also lets them say everything is nearly sold out.
The 90% off is a scam. Never used Temu, I downloaded the app to buy this, and the app said I already used the deal and everyone can only use it once. 90% off prices are fake.
I absolutely disagree with buying low quality then upgrading. Low quality tools lead to low quality output and then people give up on the hobby. After half a lifetime of trying various crafts and home repair with lower quality tools and getting poor output, several years ago I started buying high-end consumer grade or less expensive professional tools and everything from house painting, drywalling, nail art, resin art, jewelry making, and more ACTUALLY comes out as desired if using the tools the pros use. I've seen the same over and over in the maker spaces. People give up because they're trying to get a nice result with crap tools. That's not to say that certain supplies from chinese retailers won't work. But be very cautious in what you don't put money into. Disposable nail files, sure. Solder iron and staple welder, not so much. Also, don't use kn95s, ESPECIALLY from a Chinese retailer. They aren't as stringent on testing and since they're not the healthcare standard in the US, and therefore don't have to comply with the same regulations and scrutiny, testing has shown imports aren't meeting the advertised filtering. Always use a fit-tested N95. They're gonna cost but it's cheaper than lung disease.
