The holo-plates work because they have "scratched" tiny lines in the surface. The light bounces off the surface and from inside the lines making the rainbow patterns you see. The filament gets pushed into the lines and gets the light pattern that way. When I say tiny lines, I'm talking microscopic. Down in the nanometer range. I have no idea how they do it, but that's what it is.
Temu is just a shopping website like Amazon. All depends on what you buy. Don't sell yourself short though. Negotiate with any company. This videos is worth far more than $200.
The vacuum bags don't work really well. Every creased point will start leaking after a short while and its worse if you open and re-use them. I switched to tubs with gaskets and containers of desiccant. Made the containers out of ABS and PETG so I can pop them into a dryer to recharge.
I've looked at the tubs as well and will probably do that at some point. For now, the bags seem to be holding up. I've had some for a few months and their still holding up. We'll see, though. Thanks!
I've bought, more or less, the same things on Temu. No complaints from here. I am, however, a bit surprised that filaments can't be bought cheaper there. I mean, on my usual filament it says made in China, and I buy from anycubic(nordic) at cheaper price than what I see on Temu (and AliExpress). But, unlike many or most filament dealers, they have the smaller spools (200-250g) which is nice if you just want to try out some new ones without spending all your money. The 3D Pen is a handful lol ..... I still need to practice a lot. I use it to seal components and you definitely need a steady hand. I'm not sure why they have the ABS option ..... can't imagine anyone who wants to have their face close to that oozing and inhale that cr*p.
All good points. I've also bought just as good filaments for a LOT cheaper elsewhere. But I definitely wanted to show at least a few, and highlight the price. And I still stink on that pen. Apparently, I'm not an artist. ;-) Thanks!
YEP! I've seen others do it, and that was a reason I wanted to try it, but the video got too long and I ended up just testing how it worked. Great point! Thanks!
Have you tried washing the prints from those fancy build plates. I printed a model and it looked great, I used it for a display shelf for my market stall. however I did have to wash it in water to get dust off, the hologram disappears...
WHAT??? No, I haven't done that, never even occurred to me. I haven't used any adhesive on them, so it hasn't been an issue. But now.... Well, I guess I know what I'll be trying later today... Thanks! 😜
Yes I know not everyone can afford these bags but wouldn't people want to see what other people think of the bag before wasting their money? Like what other TH-camrs have said about this bag, I bought a kislux and I'm very happy with my bag. Thanks to the blogger, I showed this video to my sister and now she will definitely get the Louis Vuitton bag she has always wanted! Love this kind of videos!!
considering this video had absolutely noting to do with bags and google lens shows the profile picture is of another person this is obviously a bot here.

Good Review. I too buy from Temu & have had mostly good experience. Thanks Eric & Thank Temu!
Love GMM... less of a Temu fan admittedly 😅😂❤

LOL. All thanks 3D printing!
18:12 that sentence killed me.
ONE TAKE! Thankfully! That was definitely a hard one. Thanks for watching!
Amazon say they have a cheaper deal on offer

our bags keep failing after a number of days...after a week the bag is no longer serving it's purpose. Still use them tho
Wow. I haven't had that experience. Thanks for letting us know. I'll definitely post here if I run into any problems in the near future.
A 3D pen would come in handy to fill in seems in models.
