Was my first bike in 1976 bought secondhand. Great memories. I put lights on it and road registered it and used it to ride to University. Has a 1 gallon tank. Did 65 miles per gallon as I recall and petrol in Australia was 65 cents per gallon. Built a trials track in my backyard and yes dented the frame on some big logs I used to ride over.
I had two of those. 73 and a 77. I had absolute blast on them for what they are. I sold both of them off back in 2010. They sat doing nothing for a couple years because I couldn’t find new top end components anymore.
I got mine in probably 1981 it was a 74 and boy did we have blast on it a 11 year old boy running wild for hours we had a palm tree my dude cut down and the stump was about 3ft tall I rode up and over it lol at 14 I out grew it and it sat until a neighborhood kid younger asked to ride it needless to say he ceased the motor it sat in the garage and one day at 19 years old I took a sledgehammer to the kickstarter and broke it lose lol put gas in it and took off ended up giving it to a younger cousin never saw it again tgat thing was a tank !!!
I have the 73 model , which was my first bike when I was 8 years old . I still own it , though it needs a very small amount of work , which I'll be getting to by the end of 2019 . = ) I couldn't ever get rid of the bike either because of all the memories of learning to ride with my dad .
I had some great time with the TL125 :D Used it as a moped twenty years ago :P My friends called it a "tank" because we could sit on it with three people and still outrunned my buddies their moped's :D Those days where great!! Now i ride a Mash Dirt Track 50 moped :D (lost some wild hair :P )
Love your video's... Great presentation & knowledge of subject matter. Look forward to meeting you someday in the future & sharing with you my collection.
On the flat you can pull off in top gear..I had one and loved it. I think it had a 60 tooth rear sprocket..Even though 10hp it would climb a steep mountain..My mates had 2 stroke motorcrossers and if they were stuck at the bottom of a steep climb they had problems..The TL would just go put put put straight up the hill FAB

Had a 73 and got the optional lights with it, with the best mod being adapting a XL-100 seat onto it...really made it fun for Desert riding.
Love the ending comment! God Bless America

That’s amazing I love those old trail bikes
Love that bike 👍
Me and my Dad had one each , mine was 1977 apparently Dads was newer, Some good times on these bikes,
Oh man thats sweet!
Btw, this is my dream Bike!
I had one new in 1975,lovely bike but a bit under powered, everybody used to remove the spark arrestor to give a bit more.
I seen a tl125 1974 that was blue in perfect condition
Great bike
Are the gear ratio shorter than the xl? I’ve always wondered that. One more?, do you have any kdx’s in your stable?
Yes much shorter, no kdx right now...
Yep shorter and the same as the ct125 farm bike.

Красивый !
I have a early 70s xl 125 if you need parts.
I have a 1975 XL125 awaiting restoration although I have cleaned out the carb, fitted a battery and got it running.

I had a TL 125 bloody useless as a serious trials bike the Bultaco Sherpa 125 was much better but it still needed a light rider.
I could not agree more 😁
Was digging your videos and then you brought religion and trump into it. Neither of these afflictions should be in business.
Agreed,
Might want to edit out your traitorous comments at the end, there’s little tolerance for unAmerican language like that these days
