This is beautiful! So many great ones from you. Thank you so much for sharing & doing the tutorials. Being a visual learner after a TBI, these have helped me so much!💜😊
This version of Sand Dollar is so awesome. I see visions of Christmas coasters, facecloths, potholders, blankets and more. Thanks for another outstanding tutorial. So many jspcreate designs…. Love them all! TY! ❤❤❤😊
I am so glad you experimented with that to make it your own, there are so many ways to add a little different look to it, So glad you enjoyed this and had fun playing with it.
Mesmerising. I have been practicing so many of your recent technique tutorials and they make me feel like a goddess. Every time. Watching the master is mind blowing. I can’t wait to put it all together and work your squares.
Thank you! This is so clear. I love this design. I’m making a granny square blanket, but I think I’ll throw a couple of these squares in for variety. 💖💖 You’re a terrific teacher.
Oh it’s gorgeous 😮 I just found you and subscribed! Looking through your videos I’m very excited to watch them all! Love the hints and tips too ❤THANK YOU ☺️
Hi there, nice to come back and visit you again! I must ask mainly because I have always loved the look of the original sand dollar hexagon so so much, what was the reason to make the adaptions that you did for this new one? It''s very beautiful as your work always is, and you always have the best knack I've seen for combining both stitches and colours so elegantly and effortlessly, but I wondered if the original hexagon could be worked into a square after making it the way you first did with the lovely blue, browns, tans and white? As much as this one is very pretty as well there's just something about the blend of the stitches used along with the colours from the first one that I can't steer away from, so would love to know if there's a way to adapt that to a square without making the modifications please??
Thanks so much for your question. So glad you like the original Sand Dollar. The changes were very minor and either version will work into the square easily. The only changes were on Round 1 I left out the ch spaces, which was quite actually by accident, but it doesn't make a big difference there, and then on Round 6, the original used a combination of ch spaces and sc, where in the new one, I did a solid sc crochet stitch, so either one will work with Round 7 of the Sand Dollar Squared. Not a big difference at all actually. So you can make the original Sand Dollar up to Round 6 and then follow the Sand Dollar Squared from Round 7 on and just count the ch sps from Round 6 as you would a regular stitch. Hope that helps and Enjoy!
I am in small town Canada so I mostly find the colours at my Michaels or Walmart. My favourite online shop is Mary Maxim. I use Bernat Super Value, Bernat Premium, Red Heart Super Saver, Red Heart With Love and Michaels Brands, such as Impeccable. So nothing fancy, I like to stay with affordable, easy to find. I just collect alot of different colours and then play with how they go together. Next video will be a little peak into the tools I use to determine what colours I like to use. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial! I’m a visual person also. I truly appreciate it. You do beautiful work. Love how you explain everything. And your voice is so soothing! 🥰
I keep learning from you all the time and I'm so greatful for that but ... in this tutorial I believ to see you don't hit the centre of the 3 sc-stitches in round 4, the caramel coloured. Are you too fast for my eyes or are you actually hitting the first sc as I see it?
Thank you for this question. I can see where this can get confusing. This is where crochet gets tricky to the eye. The tops of the stitches don't lie directly above the posts of the stitches, so when working in the round, the tops of crochet stitches lie to the right of the stitch itself. Then to compound this visual trick, when I am working 5 stitches into the chain space, it "pushes" into the next stitches and to some degree, covers up that first sc of the 3. So it may look like I am going into the first one, but I am going into the middle one or the 2nd one of the grouping. If it helps you can place a stitch marker when you make them in round 3, so you can find the right one in round 4. Or find the middle sc stitch in the next grouping before you do the 5 stitch petal, then you may notice how the first sc tends to slip under and hide under the petal grouping. I hope this makes sense the way I am explaining it. When I am working a new pattern sometimes I need to place stitch markers, so I am sure I am using the right stitch. Enjoy and thank you for watching. ❤
Thanks for the explanation. It makes sense and I will surely put a stitchmarker there not to be fooled by an imagination. This square is one of your most beautiful and interesting ones. I've done quite a few of them by now and this one is right up in front of the queue.
I've just read the symbol chart that is with the purchased sand dollar square and saw what i believe is a small but wrong abbreviation reg the treble dc. Shouldn't it be tr or tc?
Please, put subtitles in other languages on your channel. I am a follower of your channel. I speak portuguese and I don't speak english! Kisses from Portugal ❤.
Thanks so much, the subtitles are generated through the TH-cam platform. You need to go into the settings ( gear icon ) to turn them on and choose closed captions CC and the language you want and you should see the subtitles come up in your language. It may take a bit since I just uploaded it, I'm not sure how quick they generate them, but they will be there at some point, if you turn on the appropriate settings. Enjoy and thanks for watching!

What yarns do you use for your tutorials? I have a ton of yarns from just about everywhere but your colors look so deep and rich. Just gorgeous.
