    I have to say - your video on disassembling the 72 Sportster motor was one of the most educational videos I have ever seen. Very well done, (except for the cameraman. ) I have a 73 basket case that I am going to chop, and redo the motor and your video has really encouraged me that it can be done. Thanks for taking the time and effort to do this.

    Use the swing arm hole as pilot insert shaft through both sides with cutter on one side. It should ream and square up at the same time if cutter is square. Then shim up and or weld in metal. :) The cameraman is real handy n the shop.

      i don't see how using the swingarm is going to help any. thanks for the idea of the cutter. now i van make a piloted counterbore to get the job done correctly. i forgot about using them for this type job.
