Scotland is awesome anyone who has experienced it knows. The point of this video is even in a place as beautiful as Scotland you have hidden treasures that can make an average day a day to remember. Thanks Kim.
Haven't been to Glen Affric for a long time and I should do something about it soon. I have visited many falls in Scotland. Killin the most touristed and the Falls of Glomach the highest. But this one has so much of everything. Totally agree with everything you say about the colour green. Never thought about it like that but from the artistic point of view natural greens are the hardest to replicate on paper.
I am actually in New Zealand just now but I agree, Plodda Falls are gorgeous. Last time I was there I had to crouch precariously on a ledge behind a big rock to get an image from the bottom forks of the falls, I felt like paparazzi of waterfalls popping out into the spray clicking away.
Your enthusiasm is so infectious, (I typed that before I read a few other comments saying the same, so its obviously felt by many of us), We are already down to spend 9 days in Scotland in June with 7 in Skye and staying 2 days in Fort William, was not able to make it last year, but Glen Affric is now on the list for definite, the falls are already entered into Photopils app, all down to your inspiration, feeling excited already, lets hope the weather stays better than the 4 days of rain last year.....happy new year by the way.
Hi Kim, missed you: glad to see you are ok, I have missed you and your enthusiasm and passion nature and photography. You travel to places, I assume by yourself, I hesitate and dream of a day out but work always gets in my way. Purchased a new Nikon D810 for new year but as yet only been out for an hour locally and we are in Feb' already. Keep doing what you do best and let us share in your enjoyment. Best Wishes and God Bless. Paul
Love your video's Kim. Thanks for sharing your experience. You don't always have to go home with hundreds of captured images. As you said, it's being out in nature. Either way, it's all rewarding. A very Happy New Year to you ! I'm looking forward more videos in 2018. Enjoy life !!!!
Happy new year Kim!! Lovely enthusiasm, location and video. Time ago I stayed in a B&B close to the area where they recommend me to go to this beautifull glen. I knew about it by Phil Cunningham's song, so I decided to go. It was only the 2nd day of my photographic trip by uk. It brings me back good memories. I'm looking forward to go back there again and to watch more videos from you. Best wishes
Thank you for taking us all to Ploda Falls. Definitely on the "to do" list for my wee trip the Glen Affric in a couple of weeks. (Hopefully not in lockdown by then). Fully understand the lack of images taken. I hate fighting spray and rain. Got a great image in Norway once, was delighted with it until I opened it up at home and found two nasty water droplets in places I struggled to clone out well.
Kim, your enthusiasm, passion and love of nature, the great outdoors and photography is very, very infectious, please keep inspiring us throughout 2018. Happy New Year🥂
I'm putting together my this year Scotland trip and this waterfall is one of the places that I want to visit. I really loved the view and the waterfall ;) Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Like Russell, I might have liked seeing a bit more but came away satisfied viewing your effort and that of Matthew as a four-part story. The collaboration works for me. Sometimes the experience outweighs the need of a stellar image to document it.
What a Beautiful video this was Kim! And the aerial video with the Drone by Matthew was spectacular! I love your videos and that amazing accent of yours! And I will have to check out Matthews TH-cam Channel. I was a little disappointed that you didn't take any photos of the waterfalls. I can't wait to see what you have coming up next time, keep up the good work!
I love Glen Affric. The Dog Falls is very striking too, but not the easiest to photograph. You should walk the trail, there is another big waterfall way along it. Watch those slippery rocks on the way!
Can’t understand why you did not take some pictures? A challenging location so I would have liked to see your compositions. I was there 18 months ago and found it difficult because of the height of the falls.
Happy New Year Kim, thank you for all the amazing videos over the last year and I'm looking forward to your first full year on TH-cam. I think I would have been tempted to give the waterfall a try with a polariser and starting around 1/15th second, then changing my speed from that starting point. However, photography has never been the main focus of your channel as much as your amazing enthusiasm for all things natural, never let anyone or anything curb that enthusiasm it’s so inspiring to see. Personally I think it’s impossible to have too much of a young person being passionate about the natural world around them, especially after Trump withdrawing from the Paris agreement. So I don’t necessarily agree with the criticism you’ve received in the comments this time, and I think some people "don’t get" what your early videos were about and how you’ve maintained that ethos through all you videos. You keep doing what you are doing and even if you only inspire one more young person they will be an amazing success. Personally I think you inspire many more than that. Here’s to 2018 and your meteoric rise continuing.
Mark Harris Thanks Mark - this comment really cheered me up! Glad you've enjoyed them and understand that my channel is not all about photography. Means a lot ☺
Kim Grant Your video’s have meaning, keep doing what you are doing because you’ve got a phenomenal following by doing it. I think the look of genuine wonder you have at the sheer majesty of the falls has every bit as much validity as you showing us all the surrounding trees. Just remember, it’s your channel, it’s your choice what you put out and you should enjoy making and presenting your videos.
William Farr Pardon? What on Earth are you talking about? My comment was nothing but encouragement to Kim and admiration for her interest in the environment. Please grow up and don’t cause arguments on Kim’s videos and enjoy them for what they are. If you had any interest in the Environment you would know politics and environmental concerns go hand in hand. The only thing I mentioned was Trumps withdrawal from the Paris agreement, that is of concern to every British nature based organisation not to mention every international one. If you have any concerns about my comment please read Kim's reply.
Thanks Kim as everybody has said previous your enthusiasm is very infectious but I bet you will regret not getting your camera out at the waterfall cover the camera until the last minute you would have had some great images 👍x
Amazing location, and your video is as great as ever. I know you want to concentrate on locales in your native country, but, if you ever get the chance to get over here, make sure you catch Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. (I'd also have recommended the Columbia Gorge, but it unfortunately got badly damaged in a wildfire last summer -- maybe, by the time you're my age, it may have fully recovered.) Anyway, Silver Falls has a trail that takes you past ten different waterfalls, each quite lovely, and it looks especially wonderful in autumn. I hope you can visit it someday.
Looked like a great place to visit. Pity we only saw glimpses of the amazing waterfall you kept telling me about. A few wider angle views would have been good.
Nice content here Kim... Obviously there is more going on here than simply photography for you, conversely, I would have taken a stab at the waterfall anyway, despite the drizzle! A side note: I have a smidgen of Scot blood in me from my mother's side of the family. My son traced her back to the 11th century. Back in the year 1000, apparently one name was common, no first or middle initial as I understand it... Cheers, Bill Farr... :-)
Well done kim! No drone footage, images or someone talking about it will do this waterfall justice! Go and see it for yourself! Btw Kim i made a rival vlog to this today which you will see in coming weeks :P
Love it. Cracking waterfall. Negative comments? Nah, I just see dickheads that can't read. Nowhere in the title or description does it say the words Photo, Photograph or Photographing. I see 'Exploring" and I enjoyed the video (and the others) for what it was. Nice work, Kim.
Normally I enjoy your videos Kim, But this one, you spend far too long eulogising over every aspect of this location, and little else !! I hope you don't mind constructive criticism ?
You may have a point. Not one photo taken yet the word incredible used 15 times, amazing 7 times, stunning 6 times and phenomenal 5 times (yes I am that sad to have watched it twice and made a note). I love her enthusiasm but maybe a bit too much on this one?
Very disappointed with that video 8.5 minuets of you talking about the location and how beautiful it was but all we saw was your face! then about 20 seconds of the waterfall from the drone. Not your best blog
Way too overdone with the enthusiasm, adjectives and ultimately disappointing that you didn't even take a photo. Wasn't this supposed to be a photography vlog?
Anthony Murphy Nope - as I've said many a time before, my channel is about inspiring people to get outdoors and enjoy nature. Photography is just something I use to connect with the world and not all my vlogs are photography based. There's nothing in the title or description to suggest this was a photography vlog. Agree this video is not my best but enjoyed filming and making it nevertheless. TH-cam is a journey after all 😊
It's an ok waterfall but it doesnt do scotland justice saying it's the best.... the falls of glomach, steal falls and the one in assynt to name a few blows the arse clean off it...
We all have our favourites - this has always been one of mine but that's not to say that the others are stunning too. Agree the ones you mentioned are amazing too :)
ONE DAY I will defiantly go there. Thanks for enlightening me about this place.
What a beautiful place!I must to convince my husband to go there
I hope more people don't discover how amazing and incredible nature is. I want it all to myself.
Thanks for all your enthusiasm for the outdoors. Can't wait to get to Scotland and see some of these places.
I like amazing waterfall and it is great place to visit. Thank! Kim...,
Scotland is awesome anyone who has experienced it knows. The point of this video is even in a place as beautiful as Scotland you have hidden treasures that can make an average day a day to remember. Thanks Kim.
I was in Glen Affric last year... Plodda Falls and the glen around it are well worth visiting! its like stepping back in time...
Going today looks so good
Haven't been to Glen Affric for a long time and I should do something about it soon. I have visited many falls in Scotland. Killin the most touristed and the Falls of Glomach the highest. Love your videos and your enthusiasm! Your accent is so adorable as well!
Looks a great area to visit Kim. Thanks for sharing with us. Happy new year.
Went to Plodda falls today and you are right, what an incredible location, loved every second and hopefully got a few reasonable images.
Amazing place , thanks for the tour Kim !!
Enthusiasm is great Kim and great waterfall just going to look at the sunrise vlog now👍😄🏴
Kim can you go in the water here for cold water swimming or just to dunk in? Or is it too deep anyone know?
Great blog, I need to come to Scotland and visit these locations. Thanks.
Just grandiose! 🙏🏼👌🏼👏🏼
Incredible!
Great video Kim. That does look like a beautiful location. I'm looking forward to seeing that drone footage.
Fantastic! I might add your locale looks so pristine !
Thanks for sharing this waterfall, I didn't know it!

it's now on my list after seeing this.

Great location Kim reminds me of Snake falls in Wales, lovely.

Been to Glen Affric many years ago for a hike, but somehow missed that waterfall! Clear sign that I have to go back ;-)
Thanks Kim. Subscribed to Matthew's channel after Part 1. Really enjoy his approach and passion for photography and his channel. Thanks!
Excellent. Happy New Year Kim! 🎉🎉

Thank u so much for sharing. Any haunted castle near bye.?. Where i can stay
Wonderful video Kim! My own Scotland trip has been pushed back to March and every time I watch one of your videos I cannot wait to get up there :D
Can’t understand why you did not take some pictures? A challenging location so I would have liked to see your compositions. I was there 18 months ago and found it difficult because of the height of the falls.
Love your videos and your enthusiasm. You are an inspiration and makes me want to start my vlog. I do have one question, what camera bag do you carry?
Fantastic Kim, I was there in April last year it wasn't as full but still epic. :-D
Happy New Year Kim, thank you for all the amazing videos over the last year and I'm looking forward to your first full year on TH-cam. @ Mark Harris... Please shut your " pie hole " on the political spectrum, it has NO place here, period...

Wow, that waterfall looks amazing! Added to the bucket list :)

A couple of words to add to your vocabulary
Amazin
Extraordinary
Not many salmon leap up that one. LOL
Best waterfall in the UK.
Kim don't be downhearted about some of the comments, everyone wants you to succeed, they just want to see more of what you love so much. :)
:'(
Would have liked to see your photography.....
Have you asked Joyce in the post office in Tomich for directions to Home Falls. She will skin me alive. Great pictures thank you.
Peter Ellarby Home falls? I've never heard of them! Are they worth going to?
Looked like a great place to visit. Pity we only saw glimpses of the amazing waterfall you kept telling me about. A few wider angle views would have been good.

Matthew Storer Agree fully Matt and Oooh that sounds exciting! Can't wait to see it.
Where is it please?
Plodda falls - Glen Affric
I live just down the road from here and I have seen the falls with maybe 5 times the flow there its impossible to stand at athe bottom
Wow that must be incredible to witness!
Love it. Cracking waterfall. Negative comments? Nah, I just see dickheads that can't read. Nowhere in the title or description does it say the words Photo, Photograph or Photographing. I see 'Exploring" and I enjoyed the video (and the others) for what it was. Nice work, Kim.
hey kim, if you like waterfalls you should come visit us in western North Carolina in the states. we have tons!
Thanks for the video. One or two unnecessarily harsh comments there. Just carry on being you and doing your own thing.
for any one interested in visiting here is help to find and get there -

Very disappointed with that video 8.5 minuets of you talking about the location and how beautiful it was but all we saw was your face! then about 20 seconds of the waterfall from the drone. Not your best blog
I see the waterfall many times.. :-/
You never actually said where you were? I’d like to ask a question.........
Where is your favorite place to be in Scotland?
