HAPPY WEDNESDAY, NOTIFICATION LEGENDS! Was super cool to work with Cassette Beasts on this video and talk about those diabolical Dark Masters! Lemme know what you wanna see next!
@@blaze048I’ve watched reviews and a couple of let’s play episodes the game is amazing and has a lot of frontier inspirations in it so I’m really looking forward to its switch release
Funny you mention the subject Karn EX. If you look at the old 1999 TCG Agumon can become three of the Dark Masters... Piedmon, Puppetmon, and Machinedramon. Again based off the card game anyways.
I always thought piedmon would come from myotismon and devimon before him, kinda wrapping up adventures vilans nicely. You can even add apoclalymon on there at the end because every dark master has the potential to digivolve into him at least in cyber sleuth
Agreed! The only other Rookie that makes a lot of sense in that pre 1999 Era would be Tsukaimon, the Dark Patamon alt. Kind of explain the fear, concer, and dark Mirror of TK's Patamon, especially since Patamon is an important part of defeating each bad guy of this line.
@@cbeaird52 Speaking of Patamon, he can digivolve into Angemon, of whom Devimon is not only an evil version of (if you count him as such, it works thematically), but in the original Digimon World game, Angemon could become Devimon as well. The Angemon -> Devimon connection was even hinted at in the 2020 Digimon Adventure reboot, too, so it seems cool to me
The Piedmon > Myotismon > Devimon > Demidevimon line was my headcannon. You could almost kind of think that he's digivolved every time they defeated him, rather than dying.
It'd be honestly interesting to see a sort of "Good" version of the Dark Masters. Like what would a good Puppetmon look like or a good Piedmon. Digimon that would be in the same theme (IE a Puppet or Jester aesthetic in those two cases), but aren't evil.
I've always liked Gigadramon as pre-evolution for Machinedramon, leaning into the more specifically metallic elements. I know it's mostly a color swap, but Megadramon always felt less metal to me and less naturally transitioning to Machinedramon. Gigadramon feels like an experimental weapon of war culminating in Machinedramon.
To be fair, Gigadramon does have more metal on him than Megadramon does, specifically in his wings; it's also the reason why Megadramon is said to be the faster of the 2 while Gigadramon is more powerful
I don't really set a particular Digimon as the pre-evolution of Machinedramon since it's outright stated that it's a fusion of many different machine Digimon, and you can even see the parts of each one, the same way that Kimeramon is clearly a fusion of other Digimon.
I agree 100%. Plus there's the fact that, following that logic, Chaosdramon would be an awesome evolution for Megadramon. Think about it, it's very simmilar to Machindramon, but with organic parts and it keeps the warm color of megadramon contrasting to the cold color of Gigadramon/machinedramon. Also there's the fact that gigadramon is said an "upgraded" megadramon, while Chaosdramon is na "upgraded" Machinedramon; so the lesser sibling becomes the most advanced one after they both evolve, kind of a poetic role reversal.
@@NeoChronoid The thing is that Chaosdramon is outright stated to be an upgraded Machinedramon, they just improved on the design. Chaosdramon does not have any organic parts, it's still entirely machine just like Machinedramon. Additionally, Gigadramon isn't an upgraded Megadramon, both were designed around the same time, it seems they just made two slightly different models to see how well they performed, one with more metal parts and one with more organic parts. Presumably this experiment was before they decided to make something completely machine considering you can see either Megadramon or Gigadramon's arm as a part of Machinedramon, they were just stepping stones in the experiment that eventually produced Chaosdramon.
@@metacat3106 Chaosdramon very clearly has organic parts (upper arms and legs, tail, neck and eyes), be they natural or biomechanical. As for Gigadramon, I can't seem to find it right now, but I'm sure one of the games described him as being created by further modifying a Megadramon with mechanical parts, giving him a higher destructive power but making him more violence and harder to control.
I've always liked the tyrannomon to metal tyranomon to machinedramon line. It really feels like a dark parallel to agumons line. And the 2020 anime really showed this with metal greymon dark digivolving into machinedramon. We could even use black agumon as the starter. Idk if he is pre whatever. We could use regular agumon I guess. But It goes kinda with the theme piedmon evos have Tyannomon and metal tyranomon. We're early evil/ wild foes of the guys. It seems to fit
I always assumed Piedmon's line was DemiDevimon, Devimon, Myotismon, Piedmon. It just makes sense to me that all the core Adventure villains would be in a line together, and it makes sense with Boltboutmon existing in the modern day.
Oooo I love the Myotismon line for Piedmon. And it really makes it seem as if the Darkness has been specifically targeting the chosen children, with all levels of respected real threats making plays against them.
I've always associated Myostismon with Piedmon and I think a fun and possible rookie for Piedmon that could tie into together and that's Dracmon. It ties a bit into prankster vibe of Piedmon and the vampire vibes of Myostismon and even has digivolved into Myostismon in Digimon Survive.
@@NightmareZerogbs The other thing is Devimon is implied to be a fallen Angemon, and the virus form of Patamon is Tsukaimon, so in theory Tsukaimon should be the Devimon Rookie whereas DemiDevimon was the one that caused Devimon to become a fallen angel.
Would love to see the other dark masters having their own fusion. Also yeah piedmon evolving from myotismon always just felt right in my head. Great vid!
If you pause at 7:32 you can see Piedmon has a very similar mouth to myotismon and the spade / skull detailing is similar across the full proposed digivolution line.
Ever since I found out about Skull Greymon being able to Digivolve to Machinedramon, I've had this headcanon that Machinedramon is actually the dark result of the Greymon that was around Kari & Tai as kids during the initial incident. Also enjoyed you talking about the Piedmon one bc that's one of my favourite headcanons.
Just gonna leave this here, the line of demidevi>devi>myo>piedmon was used month ago in the rom hack of pokemon fire red "digimon nova red". This to me says that many children who grew up with digimon drew the same line connecting them, you included (I as well), what a small world :).
It was great as always to see your choices for the Dark Master digivolution lines, Karn!. Especially in the connections you had made to Piedmon digivolving from Myotismon, as well as with Mechanorimon and Machinedramon. Per usual, I look forward to what you come up with next, and you have my best regards!
Even though MetalSeadramon line is set in stone in the canon, it does work the same way was the Piedmon line. The digidestined beat Seadramon in the beginning, defeated MegaSeadramon in the middle, and vanquished MetalSeadramon in the end.
Dont forget Michel from America had a Betamon that can also Digivolves to Seadramon, so i dont know if the guy in the video is doing Game series ONLY evolutions or ALL media?
I really like the idea of Piedmon being an evolution of Myotismon, given how the vampiric git was the overarching antagonist in the second season and was one of the bigger banes to the Digidestined throughout the series, so having that influence there even though very subtle is poetic.
For the Dark Master Machinedramon, I've always had a head canon line of Agumon > Cyclomon > Megadramon > Machinedramon. The idea of a Digimon Adventure villain originally starting as an Agumon that went down a darker and darker path focusing on using technology to get stronger appeals to me.
I remember when I first got into Digimon and had no idea about Adventure or the Dark Masters I always saw the logical line as Devimon -> Myotismon -> Piedmon, so learning that all three 'mons were their own thing with their own lines was a bit of a shock. They just fit so well together!
Just finished digimon ghost game today and good lord i cannot comprehend the ending its so weird. But i came right here to your video after to see what was new and was not disappointed so i hope you will continuously make these amazing vids
Piedmon being the summation of all of the villains feels perfect. He always felt like the looming threat of the masters, like the other villains. I think that’s a great line for him
I had a fun time talking about this with people as well. The Dark Masters are a fun 4 man team to build a DnD late game enemy set around and when talking about a hypothetical this is what we came up with for story and motivations. MetalSeadramon: A free spirited Swimmon who was attacked by a Ebidramon in the ocean before finding the Digi-Egg of Reliability that was enshrined underwater. Evolving into Tylomon, he fought the Ebidramon off and journeyed, eventually evolving into WaruSeadramon and MetalSeadramon in a somewhat misguided sense of justice that had him conquer the area of the Net Ocean he lived in. The party arrives to this situation and knocks some sense into him. Puppetmon: A Gotsumon that mindlessly worked in mines until it evolved into Golemon. As it was just a worker in his society, he had no say in what he wanted and never really had the ability to emotionally mature. As most Gotsumon ended up up worked to death and those that evolved and tried to rise up were eaten by Gogmamon who ruled the area. He eventually persevered and evolved into a Pumpmon who was incredibly playful and disruptive, causing the boss the come take care of him. An unusually strong Pumpmon that played around and managed to defeat the Gogmamon, he was heralded as a hero, but due to his lack of emotional maturity he started to enact rules that made it harder to live and the area he ruled became a place where only his fun mattered. After evolving to Puppetmon, this became worse and worse until the party arrived. Machinedramon: A Purple Elecmon that lived in a small peaceful village. When the village was attacked by bandits, he took charge and evolved into Tuskmon. Due to the fact that even after they drove away the small bandit squad, the leader, a Megadramon appeared and wrecked havoc, killing most of the Adult level digimon. After pillaging the village only a few young In Training Digimon and Rookies survived. Tuskmon became their protector and they attempted to make a life for themselves elsewhere. Due to a set of unfortunate circumstances where they wandered into a Wild Digimon's territory, an In Training was killed, leading to a Dark Evolution into Gigadramon. Slowly losing his humanity, the Gigadramon became obsessed with protecting the small group. The Megadramon bandit leader eventually saw the group as a threat and attacked again, leading to a further dark evolution into Machinedramon. The rampaging, soul-less beast eliminated the bandits, but also lost any sense of self with the only programming being "Protect the young". It isn't until one is able to sneak away and ask for help that the party meets them. Piedmon: A Muchomon that lived in a circus, preforming tricks and learning acrobatics, hoping to evolve into a form where it could contribute more. He eventually evolved into Saberdramon and due to its new body, never was able to utilize the tricks he learned as a Muchomon. As such he spiraled into depression, shunning people and pushing his old friends away. He grew bitter, jealous and eventually left the circus in a fit of rage. Unfortunately, burning all his bridges did not help him at all and he eventually learned how harsh the world was without a support network to assist him. Doing odd jobs, mercenary work and such, he never excelled at much and always blamed his situation on everyone else. He eventually discovered a talent he had, murder. He grew delighted, using his ability to fly nearly invisibly at night to catch targets unaware and slowly burn them alive with his flames after using his Black Saber attack to cripple them. It got worse and worse over time and after he evolved into Jokermon, he got REALLY good at it. Waltzing into battles and leaving no one alive. After evolving into Piedmon, he decides to target his old stomping grounds, the circus, where he would meet the party.
I don't know if any expanded media disproves this, but it's kinda been a headcanon of mine for a while that the Metalseadramon of the Dark Masters was the original Seadramon Matt and Garurumon fought in episode 3, since it wasn't actually destroyed, just fought off, and would have beef with the team, adding to why he was so adamant to be the first to destroy them in that final arc.
One of my favorite possible piedmon lines is demidevimon>bakemon>myotismon>piedmon. Alternatively demidevimon>wizardmon>phantomon>piedmon works nicely too and incorporates multiple digimon that serve him which is a running theme with villains in digimon. Both lines have this very halloween-like theme to them too which fits an evil clown digimon pretty well imo.
I'm not sure why but I swore that the official Piedmon evolution line was always DemiDevimon, Devimon, Myotismon, and then Piedmon. I had never heard of that Cherrymon possible pre-evo until this video.
I'd personally choose Dracumon as Piedmon's Rookie form since I believe PicoDevimon has been used a lot as the Rookie form of many different Demon Digimons. (VenomVamdemon, BelialVamdemon, Daemon, Barbamon, Ghoulmon, and even DoneDevimon). Dracumon also has that two-face aesthetics that Piedmon also has. With his eyes being red and green while Piedmon's mask being black on one side and white on the other.
well there is legit just few dark themed Rookie digimons. (without counting the dark variants digimon) like you have Impmon, Demi Devimon, Dracumon, Petit Mamon (Manga), Phascomon, Soundbirdmon, and with latest Ghostmon. they really need expand that roster.
Gettin sponsored by Cassette Beasts! That’s fucking awesome! I finished the game a couple days ago and it is AMAZING!! And awesome vid as always, my love 😇
Yeah was really glad to work with them, the game is fantastic! Really been enjoying playing in my own time, gonna try and stream it now the sponsor is out of the bag haha thanks for watching!
I heard that metal greymon was supposed to be a virus originally, going by that logic the originally conceived line would probably be black agumon , blue greymon, virus metal greymon, then machinedramon
The Piedmon evo line that you came up with that includes the former antagonists of the Original Adventure is amazing. As the line is thematic and could have lead to the chosen children of the season to discover this in a similar way to how they found out about how Gennai was there since the eight partner digimon were all still eggs. Maybe having it be that they see a scene of there being hundreds of Devimons in a single place and that some would become versions of Myotismon before one just becomes the Piedmon that they're facing. Of course, that could have been a bit much. But I do like the idea of Tai, Matt, TK, Kari, Sora, Joe, Izzy and Mimi just finding out this would cause them to think about their journey to save both their world and the digital world. Reflecting on it.
8:32 a video where the other dark masters get a Voultboutmon like Digivolution would be really cool and I’d love to see it. The only problem i see with it would be that Piedmon isn’t the only dark master with a DNA Digivolution and that Machinedramon also has one, by fusing with Chimeramon to become Millenniamon. Though I like the detail that both of these fusion consists of a mega and an ultimate level, and that they’re all digimon that were major villains in the anime. On that note I think that Etemon, Mummymon and Arukenimon would be fantastic candidates to fuse with the other 2 dark masters, since they’re prominent villains in the early seasons of the anime and they’re all ultimate level digimon.
I think Milleniamon wouldn't be Machinedramon's version of Boltboutamon. With Piedmon it is himself as his Ultimate form fusing, so the other Dark Masters would likely have their Ultimate form fusing with them to make their version of Boltboutamon. Puppetmon and Cherrymon, Machinedramon and Megadramon/Gigadramon, and Metalseadramon and Megaseadramon.
@@caiusdrakegaming8087 Chimeramon has been used as an ultimate/perfect level digimon in a machinedramon line before. In the same way as Myotismon was to Piedmon.
@@Oturan20 I'm talking about the true through-line for Machinedramon. Myotismon has always been seen as Piedmon's true Ultimate stage, just like how for Mchinedramon the most accepted Ultimates for him have been Megadramon and Gigadramon(dude for a long time was a Jogress of these two as well as him having their data to make one of his arms). So for his true Boltboutamon equivalent, Mchinedramon would have to do a jogress with his own true Ultimate stage.
Yours is a channel I've been looking for since like before yt existed at all aha. You made me buy almost $300 of Digimon cards for start, ouch (almost all $0.10 lmao, I want to bathe in my collection) ♥️
I remember there being this old line of Digimon candy that had holographic stickers on the sides of the package, which showed digimon evolving into their higher forms. One of them was Devimon and Piedmon, which suits this video's theory well. Though personally I have always loved the fact that we have what is essentially a Dark Digimon partner line throughout the OG Adventure. DemiDevimon, Devimon, Myotismon, and VenomMyotismon. I know Piedmon could be considered the true Mega and VenomMyotismon kind of like a SkullGreymon situation, but I just find VenomMyotismon to be the perfect amalgamation of its previous forms. Imagine the twist if it had turned out that the partner of the 8th child, was actually Myotismon. Myotismon wanting to find them so adamantly would have been the perfect foreshadowing, and we would have gotten a more varied team instead of two Angels.
I'd like Digimon from the Pendulum series and of the same Attribute: Ganimon, Seadramon, Mega Seadramon and Metal Seadramon. Mushmon, Woodmon, Jyureimon and Pinochimon. Hagurumon, Mechanorimon, Megadramon and Mugendramon. Pico Devimon, Bakemon, Fantomon and Piemon.
This also works well because Maki from the original digi-destined’s had that Tapirmon for a partner that evolved into Megadramon before it sacrificed itself to stop the dark masters. So to have its darker variant on the dark masters is a nice parallel.
That evolution line you suggested for pied basically using all the msjor villains of the adventure season is something I aslo made for sncold oc back in the day.
One that MIGHT just sneak in as a qualifier for an alternate for Megaseadramon is Waruseadramon who debuted in Digimon World 1 which was released in Japan in January 1999
I always thought it was the natural evo for Piedmon on the early days as a second Mega for Myotismon, although in more newer Digimon I thought Dracmon, Sangloupmonto Matadormon then Piedmon worked as well
recently I've been convinced that Wisemon is Piedmon's primary Prevolution because of Wisemon's lore specifically saying it and Piedmon may be connected
I played a Mobile Digimon Game a few years ago. MetalSeadramon was given as well as Puppetmon. But the game had Machindramon evolve from Skullgreymon and Piedmon did in fact evolve from Phantomon. As for Myotismon, it started with Demi-Devimon - Devimon - Myotismon - Venom Myotismon
i know it cant really be a thing because of how time dilation works in the show but i always liked the headcanon that metalseadramon was the same seadramon and megaseadramon the kids fought throughout the series
Somewhat related to this but what would be the NEXT step for the Dark Masters? What new digivolution could they have if some evil digimon decided to further upgrade the Dark Masters? Personally I'm thinking about the most logical steps, those who are made to be some sort of digivolution of these villains and so: - Metalseadramon turning into GigaSeadramon; - Machinedramon turning into Chaosdramon; -Piedmon turning into Voltaboutamon; The hardest to pick for is however Puppetmon, the only one that I can think off, to keep the wood theme is AncientTroiamon and I don't know, wish there was a better candidate for him...
I'm happy someone else thought of Piedmon digivolving from Myotismon and then from Devimon. For some reason when I was younger I thought they were all the same Digimon lol
Myotismon to Piedmon makes a lotta sense. Metalseadramons surprised me though. Wonder what a reboot arc with the Dark Masters would look like? Maybe ending with them digivolving together and forming a new version of Apocapymon?
Puppetmon's hat corresponding to floramon's headpiece might be a good reason it was chosen. Like it grew into woodmon and aged to cherrymon before 'emerging' out as puppetmon
I like your choices because I also use a lot of them in my dark masters decks from the original digimon card game. Btw everyone should play that game if u haven't yet. So fun
That's not really "canon" it's just the defacto line. Not for every Seadramon ever digivolves from a Betamon and into a MetalSeadramon, that's not how Digimon works
Very nice, honestly, I think a modern digimon that could be part of Puppetmon's line is Arbormon, I mean it's based on a puppet, a katakuri puppet to be precise, it makes perfect sense really.
I think it could video would be which Digimon should get their own trufusion. Like omnimon imperialdramon and mastemon. Like what happened with gold rapidmon and magnamon fused, what about green rapidmon and antylamon. Beelzemon and ballestarmon.
i think the thing with piedmon that would be amazing is if it was the same devimon from the first arc reborn by apocylamon who would evolve, get beaten, seemingly destroyed, reborn again to try again, each time, gaining more information to report back each time hes destroyed until piedmon who couldn't report back since he was destroyed by the gate of destiny.
I'll be honest, based on the title I thought this was going to be a video featuring four Mega+ evolutions for the Dark Masters, not their Rookie-Champion-Ultimate lines, but still a fun video ^^ EDIT: I think that would be an awesome idea for another video though, what if the Dark Masters returned in Mega+ forms? Like something based on an even more devastating machine of destruction, terrible sea monster, evil puppet, and murderous clown or fool.
I'd easily try to fit mugendramon in a corrupted andromon or (skull)Greymon line (even though this one breaks the metal empire logic that the spiral tower invokes for him) it'd be a throwback for the remaining virus data that would be drifting around after purifying that one from Adventure 1. The same with Taichi's botched chou shinka in the case of skull. Also, I'd maybe play an alraumon on the pinocchi line. The way you treated Piedmon was impeccable.
Your Piedmon line is what I always assumed was the canonical line, for the reasons why you picked them. I agree that Piedmon is not the same Myotismon, but it has always been my headcannon that Demidevimon is the same Devimon from the first arc. Putting all the major villains in the same line/family also links all their motivations, making the story over all more cohesive
Great picks, the myotismon connection never really occurred to me before, wish the was a more dino/dragon machine digimon to be machinedramons champion though, I think sealsdramon is the closest we have but even then it's more military gear as opposed to being a machine
In Digimon World 2, I remember it being something similar to some of your evolution lines. Shakomon-Seadramon-MegaSeadramon-MetalSeadramon, Candlemon-Bakemon-Phantomon-Peidmon, and Mushroomon-Woodmon-Cherrymon-Puppetmon, though Machinedramon was a bit of an outlier with Agumon-Greymon-SkullGreymon-Machinedramon which... actually breaks canon but that's because that game didn't have BlackWarGreymon.
i personally like the idea of machinedramon being a dark digivolution of metal greymon, with the machine part of metalgreymon taking over and expelling the organic component.
One interesting thing about Puppetmon's and Metalseadramon is that, typically, their rookie levels are viewed as being good Digimon. That isn't always the case, but I do like the idea of two good Digimon and a neutral machine Digimon were tricked and brought over to evil by a Demidevimon, who had some big plans to accomplish that he couldn't do alone. That's my head canon, anyways.
That makes a bit of sense at least in Puppetmon's case, as he was actually trying to be friendly with TK. I think Puppetmon still have some good in him, an innocence he hadn't lost from being Floramon.
@@caiusdrakegaming8087 I didn't even think about that! I just know that, ever since I was a kid, I always wondered just how these four decided to work together, and it seems like Piemon is definitely the type to manipulate the others.
@@MyOverlord101 I definitely agree that Piedmon's a manipulator. Can even see how he convinced each of the others based on their personalities. Floramon(Puppetmon), being a probably friendly and naive digimon, was likely told that if he got stronger, he'd be able to make more friends and stop other digimon from ruining his fun. Shakomon(Metalseadramon) was likely a digimon that was tormented by stronger digimon, and was later approached by Demidevimon(Piedmon) that he'd help him get stronger to take revenge on those who looked down on him for being weak. Hagurumon(Machinedramon) more than likely was just a digimon that liked following others but didn't have anyone to follow, so Demidevimon took advantage of that.(Also helps that canonically Hagurumon are often exploited for their mind-controlling virus ability, but never realize they're being used like that because they don't have a sense of self)
Just had a thought. Voltbautamon is a jogress of Piedmon and Myotismon, and Milleniummon is Machinedramon and Kimeramon. What if MetalSeadramon and Puppetmon had similar evolutions, where they fused with other ultimate level villains, like Dagomon and Etemon (just an example).
So for Piemon, it always pops up as a mega for wizardmon. It would go Candmon, Wizardmon, Wisemon and finally Piemon. Guess it taps into the magical aspects of Piemon? could explain Piedmon's book
I've always personally liked Cyberdramon as an ultimate for Machinedramon, but I guess the Wonderswan games couldn't use that because they were already using Cyberdramon as Ryo's partner.

Dracmon definatrly can become Piedmon. Then again so can wizardmon
Visually, I think that either Impmon or Dracmon work better as Devimon preevos than DemiDevimon
Yes! You understand!!! My headcanon shown in video form!!
I like it, Karn!
Machinedramon is my favorite out of the Dark Masters. He also kinda sounds like Dr. Claw.
Haha true
Would love to see the other dark masters having their own fusion. Also yeah piedmon evolving from myotismon always just felt right in my head. Great vid!
Def wanna do that as a custom art! And thank you!
Machinedramon does get to fuse with Kimeramon to create Millenniummon. Puppetmon and MetalSeadramon definitely deserve fusions too though.
Imagine a flashback of all 4 being rookies and just punks
I really like the idea of Piedmon being an evolution of Myotismon, given how the vampiric git was the overarching antagonist in the second season and was one of the bigger banes to the Digidestined throughout the series, so having that influence there even though very subtle is poetic.
I’m really happy you covered cassette beasts!! It’s a great gem of a title and I can’t wait for it to release on the switch
Me too! Was great to work with them and I've really been enjoying the game in my own time!

For the Dark Master Machinedramon, I've always had a head canon line of Agumon > Cyclomon > Megadramon > Machinedramon. The idea of a Digimon Adventure villain originally starting as an Agumon that went down a darker and darker path focusing on using technology to get stronger appeals to me.
even MetalGreimon could work as a preevolution as becoming full cybernetic
I like to think of him as Monodramon > Airdramon > Gigadramon > Machinedramon due to his whole deal with Ryo in the games
For me it's Agumon > Greymon/Tyrannomon > SkullGreymon > Machinedramon
BlackAgumon > DarkTyrannomon also works for Rookie and Champion
Honestly, I always thought of Machinedramon as an evolution of Skull Greymon. As a what could have been if Tai kept forcing Agumon to digivolve
I remember when I first got into Digimon and had no idea about Adventure or the Dark Masters I always saw the logical line as Devimon -> Myotismon -> Piedmon, so learning that all three 'mons were their own thing with their own lines was a bit of a shock. They just fit so well together!
- Piedmon digivolve line:
Etemon: I’m too cool for all of you
Just finished digimon ghost game today and good lord i cannot comprehend the ending its so weird.
In Digimon Adventure Tri, Tapirmon evolves into MegaDramon, so we have another possible Rookie form for MachineDramon.
Prior to Jokermon, I always thought Matadormon was the most fitting ultimate for Piedmon. Them both being masked performers of a sort.
And the whole knives motif as well, and colours. Pity Karn couldn't use it because it only came out in the 2000s I believe
I always headcanoned machinedramon digivolved from a skullgreymon.
Just felt right to me especially since it wargreymon who kills machinedramon
I love these! Even before coming here I made the same connection about Devimon, Myotismon and Piedmon being an evolution line of major villains.
When you talk about Cassette Beasts, all I can think of is Soundwave and Ravage from The Transformers.🤔
I like Piedmon digivolving from Myotismon, Devimon, etc. Really ties the original anime together.
Based on the way they made it sound in the series, I always liked to think that Machinedramon was a Jogress of Gigadramon and Megadramon.
I'm not sure why but I swore that the official Piedmon evolution line was always DemiDevimon, Devimon, Myotismon, and then Piedmon. I had never heard of that Cherrymon possible pre-evo until this video.
Cherrymon evolves to Puppetmon. The evil tree comes from a Virus based Togemon who comes from Agumon. At least in the 1999 card game.
I always used your digivolution lines for pidemon and puppetmon on cyber sleuth, they felt too fitting
Unfortunately Dracmon debuted in 2005 but without the 1999 or earlier caveat it'd be great, absolutely!
@@Karn_EX Yeah, I would have to ignore the 1999 rule in order for it to work lol
@@Karn_EX Also, can you create the full evo lines of the 7 Great Demon Lords in the next video? I think it would be interesting.
well there is legit just few dark themed Rookie digimons. (without counting the dark variants digimon)
like you have Impmon, Demi Devimon, Dracumon, Petit Mamon (Manga), Phascomon, Soundbirdmon, and with latest Ghostmon.
they really need expand that roster.
@@undead4500 Well, there are Phascomon, Keramon, Argomon (Rookie), Arkadimon (Rookie), BlackTailmon, and Tsukaimon as well.
I have often wondered what if the Dark Masters all had Chaos Generals forms. If they did would we get them fusing into Chaos Apocalymon?
Love how you have Piedmon's line be full of Digimon who have a beef with the Children of Hope and Light.
For some reason i always imagined Piedmon having Wizardmon as one of his prevos, they just give me a similar vibe
Great vid as always!
Man your picks were spot on! 👌
the Piedmon one just god damn it that is so perfect the three major most threats as levels is so good
So fascinating exploring the possible Evolution lines.
Yours is a channel I've been looking for since like before yt existed at all aha. You made me buy almost $300 of Digimon cards for start, ouch (almost all $0.10 lmao, I want to bathe in my collection) ♥️
Wow, thank you for the kind words! Enjoy that expensive Digi-haul haha
Always liked that Piedmon line, seems natural as a fan of season 1.
Your Puppetmon and Piedmon lines were literally just my headcanons from when I was a kid.
I'd like Digimon from the Pendulum series and of the same Attribute:
Ganimon, Seadramon, Mega Seadramon and Metal Seadramon.
Mushmon, Woodmon, Jyureimon and Pinochimon.
Hagurumon, Mechanorimon, Megadramon and Mugendramon.
Pico Devimon, Bakemon, Fantomon and Piemon.
Only change I would make: Swap Gigadramon in for Megadramon so you don't have a random shock of orange amongst the Silvers
Hah good idea
@@Karn_EX there's still time to reedit before the normies see it
@@Dresden_Nova so true
This also works well because Maki from the original digi-destined’s had that Tapirmon for a partner that evolved into Megadramon before it sacrificed itself to stop the dark masters. So to have its darker variant on the dark masters is a nice parallel.
Wasn't it that Machinedramon was the fusion of an Metalgreymon, an Megadramon, an Andromon, an Metaltyranomon and an Metalmamemon?
My headcanon is that for the piedmon line it all started from VERY wicked demidevimon
Thanks for the Machine-DRAE-mon name drop from Next Order
That evolution line you suggested for pied basically using all the msjor villains of the adventure season is something I aslo made for sncold oc back in the day.
Informative and fun as always.
Thank you!
This video was so cool! Now I'm gonna hope for one with the evolution lines for Arukenimon and Mummymon xD
I love your idea for the Piedmon line using previous villains from the show although I do like Wisemon as a Piedmon ultimate
One that MIGHT just sneak in as a qualifier for an alternate for Megaseadramon is Waruseadramon who debuted in Digimon World 1 which was released in Japan in January 1999
I always thought it was the natural evo for Piedmon on the early days as a second Mega for Myotismon, although in more newer Digimon I thought Dracmon, Sangloupmonto Matadormon then Piedmon worked as well
you should make a video or a short about machinedramon, and from what digimons parts of its body came from
Dope Vid Guy
I can’t wait for the card game set with Dark Masters and Apocalymon as its own playable deck
recently I've been convinced that Wisemon is Piedmon's primary Prevolution because of Wisemon's lore specifically saying it and Piedmon may be connected
Personally I'm thinking about the most logical steps, those who are made to be some sort of digivolution of these villains and so:
- Metalseadramon turning into GigaSeadramon;
- Machinedramon turning into Chaosdramon;
-Piedmon turning into Voltaboutamon;
The hardest to pick for is however Puppetmon, the only one that I can think off, to keep the wood theme is AncientTroiamon and I don't know, wish there was a better candidate for him...
Okay another great video I liked it
Love the idea of a scene where we see all the past villains as Piedmon digivoles through all his forms
Your videos get me through man keep going
Cool video and the piedmon Idea work very well😊
Puppetmon's hat corresponding to floramon's headpiece might be a good reason it was chosen. Like it grew into woodmon and aged to cherrymon before 'emerging' out as puppetmon
I like your choices because I also use a lot of them in my dark masters decks from the original digimon card game. Btw everyone should play that game if u haven't yet. So fun
Betamon is canonly Seadramon digivolution line. Betamon is rookie can digivolve into Seadramon.
MetalSeadramon>Megaseadramon>Seadramon>Betamon
That's not really "canon" it's just the defacto line. Not for every Seadramon ever digivolves from a Betamon and into a MetalSeadramon, that's not how Digimon works
@@Karn_EX I am confused, I see Digimon central tell Betamon is Seadramon digivolution line.
That's just them presenting the most common or popular digivolution line, it isn't "canon" perse
I recall an episode during season 2 where one of the kids they meet up with has a betamon that evolves into seadramon.
Very nice, honestly, I think a modern digimon that could be part of Puppetmon's line is Arbormon, I mean it's based on a puppet, a katakuri puppet to be precise, it makes perfect sense really.
Looooove that line for Piedmon and the storyline aspect to it
For Piedmon, ReArise also had the same idea and I've been okay with it since. It was also how you got Apocolymon in that game.
Wow the piedmon evolution line is the exact combination of cards I used to make him in the og card game!
Yasss the one I asked for finally, thank u karn
Fascinating! Now what would Apocalymon's digivolution line be?
I'll be honest, based on the title I thought this was going to be a video featuring four Mega+ evolutions for the Dark Masters, not their Rookie-Champion-Ultimate lines, but still a fun video ^^
EDIT: I think that would be an awesome idea for another video though, what if the Dark Masters returned in Mega+ forms? Like something based on an even more devastating machine of destruction, terrible sea monster, evil puppet, and murderous clown or fool.
Awesome, love any video with ultimate bossmon Puppetmon
Aegisdramon for MetaSeadramon
Ceresmon? 🤔
