Man, i actually had this exact reoccurring nightmare when i was a kid for like 5 years. Couldn't sleep for more than 4 hours at a time without waking up in cold sweats just to fall back asleep to repeat the same nightmare over and over again. I eventually managed to stop getting that nightmare by escaping the "thing" that was chasing me as i crawled my way into a bright room (it looked like a train station completely packed with other people)

I had a dream where I was running eternally through an endless 3d maze of staircases. After running for a long time I got sick of running and turned around and realized it was just a shade like thing. I killed it.
we dont know exactly what happened, we know however where they were supposed to be before dissapearing and what happens in that place as well as what lives there, so its just simple connecting facts together to figure out they lost to SCP-1918 since it wont accept a loss, and will kill when it wins, we know they died at its 'pole' but we dont know what games they played and how many rounds they survived, im pretty sure it was also never really stated that they played tic tac tow first and thats just an assumption

The second time, I was being chased by some armed gangs, I realised it was a dream then my dream got less vivid, I summoned some guns and fought back but I soon realised that it was not a dream and I was imagining instead. I usually realise that it is the dream when I am about to hit the ground after falling.

I swung back and forth, trying to plant my foot on its head or chest as the monster jumped, trying to get to me.

I am genuinely scared of this scp. You cannot win against it, resistance gives you a more brutal death, and it traps you in a dimension with the only comfort being the horrific scraping iron it is. Ive only felt this kind of way with some bug scps and the Yule man; yet this scp is just as, if not even more evil than the yule man, and yet it is so incredibly evil its interesting.
