It's ridiculous to see Wiwiblogs, which claims a leading position in covering the Eurovision Song Contest, seemingly ignoring the Israeli entry, especially given its strong standing at 2nd in the odds for ESC 2024. this is a song with good vocals and deep lyrics. An honest song and performance and it seems people like something raw and honest for a change. Eurovision is a spectacle though. If all songs were like this, I wouldn't like it either.

Yep. But Belgium songs the last years werent as good, as used to be. So I guess its a kind of fair of no classify. Last year was terrible, and had lot of point in the semifinal and final..

I don't even remember Malta.. I think you have to keep in mind that there are so many watching the songs for the first time, and I'm sorry but there has to be more than a good voice. And then you have Estonia and there's just something about that song that's catchy, and made me like it.

I know that support for Latvia was about as hard to come by as finding Dratini merch at a Pokemon Centre store, but Hollow is my favourite song at the contest this year, so I am thrilled to have Dons in the GF.
(I'm literally late to the party because Eurovision airs live at 5am in Australia and my body decided it needed the sleep.)
I think Norway vs Ireland FTW, unless something goes monumentally sideways (right/wrong), either for them or for someone else.

Nemo's performance is just amazing!!!! Co-writing the song, the meaning of the song, the vocals always on point, hitch-hiking to Malmö, this risky staging..... That's why for me Nemo is the winner, even when someone else will win the trophy.

Why did Malta choose the dance break section for the voting recap, it’s a song contest not a dance contest, especially as the first entry voters that missed it, didn’t have any musical reference in the recap for Malta.

Israel will win in a televote landslide, looking at RAI's Italian televote results. They are 5 *times* ahead of the closest contender, which has never happened before, not even in 2022 with Ukraine.

I am sorry, but this is practically the end of Eurovision as a "uniting" song contest considering the context this is happening, and the amount of countries which will boycott next year. The future of the contest is at stake right now. (even if that is not at all the highest priority about this situatuon)

That is sooo true! I think many of us including those who's countries are currently at the very top of the odds already started unliking many ESC related social media pages. The atmosphere at the finals in and around the Arena on Saturday night finals considering the political situation/EBU stance might be literally on fire. And I don't mean it in a good way! The EBU might be the greatest loser ever from the next year onwards in the amount of number of fans dropping. The question is do they really dare to sentence the show to death?! Ofc they could also rely to some extent on politically immoral hypocrite voters/fans.

Latvia's performance was close to perfection, I almost cried. I think absolutely everything worked out for him last night (looks, vocals, emotions, song), everything. I also think that it had a greater impact on those who saw and listened to this song for the first time.

I know. They are too invested into all these songs and almost have collective view on them which doesn’t necessarily reflect the views of people who watch all these songs for the very first time. Me and my Aussie friend were watching all songs for the very first time and majority who got praised here we didn’t even remember. But we both agreed Latvia stood out…
They have the tendency to cheer for the ones who climb in the odds completely dismissing the other good acts. Like notice how they ditched Switzerland like it doesn’t exist anymore even though it’s still the biggest contender. Their favourites flop from year to year cause they are superficial in their preferences. I feel why Deban always disses the fakeness of the team at the point haha

First found the performance a bit minimal but after all the crazy stages this realy suprised in a good way !! A rollercoaster song a bit tempered but that made it so much greater

Israel took 40% of the vote, after that it was Netherlands on 7%, then Georgia, Switzerland and Armenia on 6%, then the rest divided up among the rest.

I don’t listen to rock/metal, but I have to say that Ireland was the biggest surprise this year, and after couple of time rewatching the performance, I can definitely say they were the Best overall and deserve to win.

The second semifinal was boring, Käärijä was the highlight of the night but it was too short.
The only pergormances that stood out were Switzerland, Norway, and Israel.
Latvia was touching, it made me emotional and he deserved the final.
