I found this interview with Regé-Jean Page on The Wrap's website. I checked to see if it had been uploaded on YT and I could not find it so I thought I would share it here. This video does not belong to me. I am simply sharing it because I thought this was a fun interview and I am sure other's will appreciate it as well.

I don't usually develop crushes on actors, but when I do... Maaaaaaan! Regé is hands-down the most handsome, articulate, intelligent man I have ever seen on screen.

I'm picky. 😜 No, but I honestly think that Regé is a wonderful combination of wits and charm. He's not arrogant, like many actors are (even though they try to disguise it). And he seems to be such a kind-hearted man. The world needs more of that.

This is hands down my favourite interview by rege. The questions were standard questions but asked in a way that let him talk about the history, lessons and acting in the show which they don't usually get to do when the interviewers keep gushing over the the steamy scenesssss

I wish they didn't have a baby so soon, (hopefully, the baby scene is just a time jump) it would have been better if they would have extended the "convincing Simon to have a child" for another episode or two as I would like to see a Simon's character have a stronger arch through the compassion and love that Daphane has for him. Want to see more on how her love would win over him and of course, would love more steamy love scenes between Simon and Daphane. LOL!

Yeah! I wish they had more time to explore him learning the lesson Daphne was trying to teach him in that last little speech at the ball and in their bedroom. She was trying to convince him that having children isn’t a factor of her love for him. Him being being perfect isn’t a factor of her love for him. She loves him regardless. She was trying to tell him that he needs make having children a part of loving her, to make it his choice, and not something he has to do to earn love.

Nice to see an interview with Regé alone. Much needed as he is a deep thinker and needs the space for a one on one conversation. His wife (or significant other) would have to be a very deep thinker like him and not a superficial girl. He is 30 and not interested in dating and I believe it is because he didnt find his match yet... on an intellectual level! Or like all African men (raised in Africa by an African Mother), he may get himself an African as Idris Elba did. 👑😍

Re'ge looks so much the part of a Duke, and looked soooooo yummy in costume, loved those vests, etc. that I did not want to see him in regular clothes.

This was a great interview 😁. The interviewer wasn’t afraid to ask the “bold” questions. Rege took it like a champ in his graceful and intellectual self. Overall, they both looked liked they enjoyed this session.
Regé what did you do to me ? Good actor, articulate, intelligent, polite and the perfect definition of smokeshow. I can’t help but like him !!!!!

I really enjoyed this interview. It was hilarious. It was the best I have seen. Her questions were so in depth and she wasn't afraid to go there. I still love seeing Rege so shy and bashful about those scenes. I'm a little more private in discussing those things.
Rege always gives eloquent, relevant insight about Simon. I like it when he talks about false pride and vulnerability. I appreciate it. I think Daphne and Simon end up having five kids.

FINALLY, someone asked a question regarding Simon and Anthony's friendship. I just loved how they would go from fighting to laughing, to almost killing each other to apologizing and then beating the shit out of each other again. I felt like their relationship was the real roller-coaster of the show.🤣🤣🤣

I fully agree. I think it’s a great portrayal of how many men’s warped ideas of masculinity get in the way of them being open, vulnerable and honest. They are both so concerned with their pride and honor and what it means to be a man that they would rather kill each other than talk it out, despite being friends.
I remember reading the book and wishing the author had written more about their relationship.

I hope Rege is ready for superstardom because it is his for the taking. Smart, funny, nice, charismatic and insanely beautiful, he's got everything. And although I've read the Duke & Daphne don't appear much in future books, the producers would be absolutely NUTS to not feature him a lot in future episodes. Rege is the breakout star of the series and they know it. Actually, he's going to get so many other offers, maybe Bridgerton willl have to let the Duke go anyway. lol LOVE HIM!

I have to say, I actually thought the weakest part of the script was his evolution from not wanting to have kids to agreeing to it. Daphne's was clear (finding the letters, talking to her mother, etc.), but his felt very rushed and hard to believe. I wish they had taken the time to show it the way he describes it here (and this is an issue with the script, not the acting), it would have made the last episode so much more powerful IMO
Agreed!! In the book they actually talk about why he is scared and about his thoughts about having kids and why he is scared, I wished they had included all this at the end :/
I too did not enjoy the last episode, it was too rushed, it could have been more intimate than that
One kinda seed why. After watching some videos multiple times I figured it was A) because his father wanted the line to continue, so he refused just to spite his father. B) he maybe thought he wasn’t perfect, ergo didn’t deserve to have love and children, even if he wanted to. And it felt to me, that he understood in the end one doesn’t have to be perfect to feel/have joy/happiness and that that was why he then was ready to have a baby, bc he understood that. And bc he saw that he’s denying himself happiness just to spite his father who was dead anyway

He has had interviews with so many US talk shows, daytime and late night, as well as with most TV stations around the country...whereas Phoebe has only been seen on one late, late night show, Conan O'Brien, saying that it was her only US invitation
Rege's face was made for these pandemic Zoom calls, lol! While the rest of us look like potatoes over Zoom, Rege is looking flawless with his close-up at all angles..
What he says about male vulnerability is a WOOOORD!

@Lovely Day Today, interesting how most of us fell for the Duke,🤔 something mesmerising about the way he hold himself, his gaze, talk, whisper, seems like he is the most genuine person in the world.
