Wow, that was such an intricate build and the result is pretty much half weapon half jewellery. Probably prohibitively expensive to commission but wow does it look great.
As a Yemeni I love this build and the only thing I'd point out is that you can't have a jambiyah without a sheath, we have a saying in yemen"if you pull a jambiyah out of its sheath it doesn't go back till blood is shed"(it's a rough translation but same message) it's so people don't go around waving their janbiyah if they don't have the balls to use it. Though people don't go by the saying anymore because lots of people are interested in the janbiyah so they ask you if they can see it don't go asking very old Yemenis if you can see their janbiyah since the only time you see the blade is when they perform traditional dances or in battle
DAMN! That is one of the finest pieces of art I have seen from a knife maker! Talk about skills! Love the Jambiya and the whole video that displayed the beauty of it all! Thank you so much for inspiring so many!
I think this may be one of the best builds you've done so far. Exquisite attention to detail, and the processes used were a true joy to watch. And Ilya is a nearly memorizing blacksmith to watch work. I always enjoy watching any episode he's a part of. Thank you to all the guys in the shop for continuing to do these for us gaming fans, as well as the mechanical/engineering fans watching true artists perform what is becoming a lost art.
Ilya is so amazing, ingraving that pattern all by hand is such a beautiful form of art that few people can do well, but he just does it like it's nothing. Also just an amazing all round smith in every way!
All I learned in Murrican school was that Germany tried to get Mexico to fight Murrica and we found out and said "Don't do that" and apparently Mexico didn't do that so, uh, I guess it worked?
Germany tried to get them to attack the US to help keep America out of the war. In return they promised to help Mexico retake the land that was lost in the Mexican American war. The message is known as the Zimmerman Note, but of course Mexico refused and the rest is history.
Illya's my favorite, he knows so many awesome skills and makes such mind-bogglingly beautiful work. When I realized that he was the winner of the spiked shield episode of Forged in Fire, it made me like him even more. Easily one of the most beautiful things on Forged in Fire. He's also Russian so that automatically makes him awesome. Such a skilled individual, I hope to one day learn at least half the skills he has mastered.
i dont think anyone would... especially if he was aloud to walk around with a machete... danny: hey... you followinng? *slams machete on desk* student: *wakes up shiting his pants*
Smithing Company well some of the weapons like the Warden Sword and the Viking Axe are relatively special but they could also make the Warden Viking and Samurai helmets! I think it would be amazing.
Omg yes! It's my dream to get somethingike this made for my wedding. My hubby is part Yemen and he never got an opportunity to experience the tradition of passing this down the line. Now that we have a son, I would love to surprise him with this so he can pass it down to our son. I don't even know where to begin to find a good blacksmith though.
Try looking for master blacksmiths, the American Blacksmith Society has about 150 last time I checked but I dont know if any of them are familiar with Arabic weapons
The fantasy and sci-fi builds are fun, but the historical and historically-influenced (Kill Bill, etc.) builds are the BEST! Anything where Ilya gets to get his nerd on and demonstrate as many traditional techniques as possible, really. Love seeing everyone do things a little more old-fashioned. :D
considering Magi is set in a middle east like setting, using many of the One Thousand and One Nights stories as a basis for many of the characters, which is middle eastern and southern asia in origin....then it looks like that for a reason
***** You clearly know nothing of the vast amount of awesome hammers and axes from video games/animes etc. Let's take Gimli's axe, once you've seen that you definitely haven't seen them all. can you do more Arab and middle eastern builds ? you made plenty of barely curved swords (Katana), so I think it would be awesome to see the furthest of the curve spectrum with scimitars. the word Jambia has two parts, Jamb (or Janb) with means side, and (ia) which can be translated into the suffix (ly), so it literally means sidely, it has its name because Yemeni people would have that dagger on their side, and it was used as a side weapon (like pistols today) as swords and spears were the main weapons, many people in Yemen still wear Janbia today as a decoration today.
@Vienna Turkic people did use curved swords, yes, but Arabs are the most famous for it since they did clash with European kingdoms long before any Turkic people went there. India has curved swords too, but they were local mostly.
@Vienna there is the sword of Ali, made at around 600 A.D, double edged, and curved, so no, Arabs used curved swords long before the Turks came to the scene. Egyptians used the Khopesh, which is a curved short sword, around 2000 B.C.
This dagger is actually really cool and beautiful. And it must be really expensive too because of the amount of silver, gold and moonstones used in it.
Crucible steel like they made it is certainly worth more than $2.50. Of course, I can pick up scrap 1080 for $0.50/lb where I live, so it's certainly reasonably to say that this quantity steel in general would only be a couple bucks.
This knife and the Hellfighter bolo are the only two knives i use in bf1 , still trying to get the puzzle piece knife but damn those puzzle pieces are hard to get.

Isaac Plumbo No sge doesn't at all, she's just goes back to the upside down, he leaves her favourite food for her out by the portal in the woods for her. She will definitely be back if we get another series
You're assuming she dies. It never showed her dying. And considering we're dealing with two different dimensions, it's more than feasible she lived. So fuck off troll.
Yatsuhashi's weapon wouldn't be unfeasible at all. But it'd be cooler to see something like crescent rose. Myrtenaster would be pretty easy for them too.
rwby is a series made by roosterteeth. it is currently starting its 4th season. the name is actualy the first letters of the 4 main caracters and their respective colors.
If they do build Crescent Rose, I would have to argue that they make it static in its fully-extended mode. Spoiler alert if you don't have a First account, sorry.
It is not Yemeni, but its older existence is in the civilization of Al-Maqar in central Saudi Arabia dating back 8,000 years ago. In any case, my greetings to all Arabs 🇪🇸🇪🇸
And the level of craftsmanship, not mention the quality of the materials... I mean, the handle is silver plated in gold and set with moonstones with a blade of crucible steel and hand engraved. I couldn't begin to guess how much a dagger like that costs, but it's probably worth a used car.
Those are priced between 150$ for cheap ones up to more than 1300$ for the common ones. Called (Khanjar) here in Oman, google Omani Khanjar. Jambiyah means Sider "which is formally for ones placed on the side". It's Janbiyah but "n" pronounced like "m" before a "b".
Genius Vs Idiots I kinda doubt it. Aside from making a sword blade that's in two parts yet is still battle quality, they have to do that AND make a two stage (for both blades) extension/retraction dual action system. If that's even possible, they would likely need outside expertise on the mechanical side of things.
Oh, I was expecting a machete when I've seen the thumbnail :D
My thoughts exactly.
Zoltán Béres same lol
Zoltán Béres same
you mean that movie machete?
Such a missed oppertunity
Jesus Christ. If Danny Trejo was my history teacher, I sure would have paid more attention during class.
Or you would have gotten a lot more than detention.
Rui Ning Wang today kids we will be looking at AN ACTUAL CIVIL WAR CANNON
"You see this, kid? This is the kind of knife that I like, cuts straight to the point."
Agreed.
that would be a great idea, but we don't have the budget.
17:50 "I like this one; cuts straight to the point."
Such a missed opportunity to say _Almost as good as a machete_ :(
omg hahahaha xD
I can't believe his wearing this shirt!!!!
XD

"'Till next time, stay sharp."
You gotta love that line.
Wow

Ilya has officially upgraded to Weeaboo.
Haha yes
HellChuggapri1 But he is a full on fucking blacksmith, I respect that.
Now that's fuckin sick craftsmanship
go to 10:55 and pause.
That's a craftsman's stare
Hawkeye Pierce lmao
God that steel grain is so beautiful. So is everything else about this build, just amazing all around!
Ilya forging while wearing an Ouran High School Host Club shirt is hilarious tbh.
I just noticed that and i cant stop laughing.
I was about to say! HE'S ONE OF US!!!
I love that show
Wow, that was such an intricate build and the result is pretty much half weapon half jewellery. Probably prohibitively expensive to commission but wow does it look great.
Just imagine how much one would pay for just the steel alone.
solosniper86 it will cost you an arm a leg and both your bollocks.
Nicholas 809 lol. I bet.
With real wootz steel too lol yeah that is a 5000 dollar piece easy

A few years later, people will recognize another element Herbert took inspiration from Arab culture for his Fremen!
Ilya is so skilled it's crazy! He must be worth his weight in gold...
Well they have been doing this for maybe 5-10 years so it's most likely for them to be skilled.
+Penguino The Penguin kari or how you spell his name
has done this for over 40 years

There is, lol.
DAMN! That is one of the finest pieces of art I have seen from a knife maker! Talk about skills! Love the Jambiya and the whole video that displayed the beauty of it all! Thank you so much for inspiring so many!

Conor Sawyer eliya (idk how to spell his name) was on forged in fire

Conor Sawyer to be fair, once they revealed what the final challenge was, it was pretty clear Ilya was gonna win.

This means
You guys will be sponsored by Ubisoft to produce weapons and armor from FOR HONOR!!!
I really hope this is true please!!!!
Tristan Dickson well there is not really anything special about them since its fairly historical but it may happen
Smithing Company well some of the weapons like the Warden Sword and the Viking Axe are relatively special but they could also make the Warden Viking and Samurai helmets! I think it would be amazing.
Ross Jaret They could make some armor and maybe even the Conqueror's shield.
I it+

You know what would be amazing for you guys to do? Reinhardt's rocket hammer from Overwatch, in all its ridiculousness and ungodly size.
Lord of Keks I'd prefer Smough's Hammer. Much cooler personally
Creature Plays Games Either way, they should make more hammers and axes.
***** You clearly know nothing of the vast amount of awesome hammers and axes from video games/animes etc. Let's take Gimli's axe, once you've seen that you definitely haven't seen them all. same. im so happy lmao
Yay! I'm not the only one!
I saw that and am having trouble taking him seriously right now
i noticed it too xD its great.
Might be my favourite episode. Great work guys! :)
can you do more Arab and middle eastern builds ?
you made plenty of barely curved swords (Katana), so I think it would be awesome to see the furthest of the curve spectrum with scimitars.
the word Jambia has two parts, Jamb (or Janb) with means side, and (ia) which can be translated into the suffix (ly), so it literally means sidely, it has its name because Yemeni people would have that dagger on their side, and it was used as a side weapon (like pistols today) as swords and spears were the main weapons, many people in Yemen still wear Janbia today as a decoration today.
Belal Abu Sultan but still there’s is some people from Yemen use it
@@大日本帝国陸軍-f9y as a decoration, or part of traditional clothing, yes, it is not used anymore as a weapon tho.

India has curved swords too, but they were local mostly.

you got me at danny trejo
What a beautiful Dagger and deadly.
Could you make genji's sword from overwatch?
Yeah, please :D
DrunkenPotato 52 same you don't know how many times I have asked for this
They should do a overwatch special Genji's sword and Hanzo's Bow would be cool to see begin made
DrunkenPotato 52 make it with the nomad skin tho
i hope they make it
Danny Trejo!!!!! Haha, I love this show
as a paid promotion this sure was a pretty good one !

They definitely put that EA money to good use, this is a work of art
Araanor knowing that ea sponsored this video
I'm a simple man, I see *THE BEST* Mexican AKA *MACHETE* , I click.
This dagger is actually really cool and beautiful. And it must be really expensive too because of the amount of silver, gold and moonstones used in it.
Good job guys!
Good luck in buying wootz for $ 2.50
Well if you can smelt - do it.
Crucible steel like they made it is certainly worth more than $2.50. Of course, I can pick up scrap 1080 for $0.50/lb where I live, so it's certainly reasonably to say that this quantity steel in general would only be a couple bucks.
The cost of materials is ALWAYS the cheapest part of just about any product.
Baltimore Knife & Sword AND Danny Trejo!! Too... Much... Awesome!
please make the daedric greatsword
yea
They're won't do this because they had even done a daedric battle axe.
it was actually the orkish battleaxe
The daedric battle axe came a while after the orcish one.
my mistake i completely forgot they did that one
This knife and the Hellfighter bolo are the only two knives i use in bf1 , still trying to get the puzzle piece knife but damn those puzzle pieces are hard to get.

Alexa Holmes
Ouran High School Host?
Ilya is truly an artist.
One russian master drags all essential work in Yankees workshop. They are truly lucky to have him
One of the most beautiful builds on this channel
With RWBY season 4 out I hope you finally do a RWBY build, something like Weiss Schnee's Myrtenaster or Pyrrah's Miló and Akoúo̱
Better make something pronounceable
Jaune's new sword is pretty dope too.
I'd love for them to make Miló and Akoúo̱ if not for how cool they are for paying respects to Pyrrah
Wait RWBY is being continued? Thought the main animator or creator died.
Yeah Monty died before volume three iirc, it was his wish that it would continue though
Who else actually liked battlefield 1 I thought it was pretty fun myself
Ty Clapp have they fixed the balancing issues yet? I enjoyed the beta but it was too unballanced
luke harding yes the game is very balanced now
Arad Seyed good, I loved the beta but it was really ruined as there were never really any close calls or comebacks. Glad it's balanced now
+luke harding really, that's a super general statement about a game with a base health, customizable gear, and simple mechanics. it's not League, it's a war shooter. it's not "Unbalanced", people are just not good at the game.
You are saying it like no one liked it. Singleplayer is meh/bad but multiplayer is fucking awesome.
You guys should make the Windwalker monk artifact weapon the Shadow-pan legacy one in WoW
This is the most beautiful blade I've ever seen. Incredible ♡
Thanks as a Yemeni I’m proud to see people make such a beautiful blade
Could you make Blade of Woe from Elder Scrolls Online? :)
YEEEES!
good idea
Yeah, that would be awesome! I've always liked the Blade of Woe, and it would be really interesting to see them make it.
Haave Originally from Skyrim.
Haave didn't know there were ESO players in the comments. The blade of woe might be hard to make seeing as you don't really have a good look at it. Maybe they could make a maelstrom weapon or something rare
ok ok. No one gonna mention Ilya's Ouran t-shirt that is clearly too small?
Commoners. All of them.
face it, when you are a blacksmith, you can make almost anything more badass than it actually is (although i love anime, do not get me wrong). but the shirt is a bit small though
If only it was a crop top
He’s just taking you to the Guns Show
Its probably a comfortable shirt man
Jambiya Knife... so its a Dagger Knife? Kinda like the Sahara Desert AKA the desert desert.
Well in the game it's just called Jambiya, and technically the Sahara Desert is supposed to just be The Sahara.
well the exact translation to jambiya is "side" since it was worn on the side
so no it doesn't mean dagger knife
people here ain't talking about the origins but about the translation
also chai tea, 'tea tea'
Or DC Comics, Detective Comics Comics
Beautifully done!
We still wearing this Jambia in Yemen as part of our tradition.

I love that Ilya's "little hammer" is clearly hand made and is damascus!

Still waiting for a weapon from RWBY.
Lol, keep waiting
Yatsuhashi's weapon wouldn't be unfeasible at all. But it'd be cooler to see something like crescent rose. Myrtenaster would be pretty easy for them too.
what does that even stand for
rwby is a series made by roosterteeth. it is currently starting its 4th season. the name is actualy the first letters of the 4 main caracters and their respective colors.
They have never made live firearm yet though, and the family Arc gear is rather bland
Samurai Jack's Katana please. Oh the childhood.
Ilya outshines all others in every episode !!! .... Guy's got some serious talent...
So where is RWBY Scyte??
Isuachi Deibiddo neglected and forgotten, sadly
but there is new serie... :D
If they do build Crescent Rose, I would have to argue that they make it static in its fully-extended mode. A fully transforming version would be impossible without advanced tech like they have in RWBY. Seriously though, they should make the re-forged Crocea Mors from Volume 4 Season 1. It is not Yemeni, but its older existence is in the civilization of Al-Maqar in central Saudi Arabia dating back 8,000 years ago. In any case, my greetings to all Arabs 🇪🇸🇪🇸
I'm so proud that's my culture.
So beautiful and what craftsmanship! You gentlemen are so talented...THANK TOU.
Yes, Illya, I too am a fan of the Hosting of the Clubs show
is mah boy wearing an Ouran Highschool Host Club t-shirt? 😂
The price that the full game had to come a knife this together.
custom knifes cost much more than you think
And the level of craftsmanship, not mention the quality of the materials... I mean, the handle is silver plated in gold and set with moonstones with a blade of crucible steel and hand engraved. I couldn't begin to guess how much a dagger like that costs, but it's probably worth a used car.
Pai de Familia that delicious man ohh
I'm surprised DICE and EA actually sponsored them to make this knife
Those are priced between 150$ for cheap ones up to more than 1300$ for the common ones. Called (Khanjar) here in Oman, google Omani Khanjar. Jambiyah means Sider "which is formally for ones placed on the side". It's Janbiyah but "n" pronounced like "m" before a "b".
The most beautiful build I've seen till date...Amazing workkkk!!!!!
I knew he was going to use the dagger. He is Machete after all.
And why do people hate this???? I guess there will always be people who dislike something. I think I only saw one video that had no dislikes.
You know what they will say..
It will keel!
Was lookin for this hahaha your comment sir? I will like 👍🏼
Genji's Shamada sword from Overwatch!!!
I still have my great great great grandfather jambyia nd it’s really is a work of art. U guys did an amazing job recreating it.
Corvo's mask and sword!
Genius Vs Idiots your right they should do that
Omg please. That would be amazing
The blade is physically impossible, sorry.
Luke Silver It is I've already seen one, only difference is that the one I saw was made from plastic or something like that.
Make Young Wolf's Howl and the other exotics from destiny
With the wolves remember ornament
Aces of Athens not the young wolfs howl. make the ascendant sword (sword of crota) or raze lighter first
The iron battleaxe
Hagrid the original man at arms guy made the iron battle axe its on the destiny official page
Dark Drinker or Raze lighter would be better tbh
OMG! Ilya's Ouran T-shirt xDDD
This is the best!, And this dagger is still used today, as a decoration and also as a real secondary weapon
Galatine Prime, Orthos Prime or Boltace from WARFRAME would be real nice!
onni storm or anything really
onni storm Galatine OP
I'd love to see some Warframe weapons on this show!
Never thought Machete would need to tell me to stay sharp.
You need to do an Egyptian Khopesh sword. How amazing would it be? Come on, guys!
This Dagger is the perfect Assassination-Tool.
It looks fierce and intimidating, just like the Marks it leaves on it's Targets.
