- "Is it really true?" remains as one of the big questions at the heart of our society. Even today, sons and daughters keep asking their parents in disbelief. Judge at the International Court, the ECCC, investigate the details. Visitors to Cambodia shudder at shrines with broken skulls.
Under the Khmer Rouge, close to 2 million Cambodians were killed by their own people. Documents from the 1970′s are scarce and unreliable. Today, it's today mostly the stories of the survivors that help us to learn the truth.
This DVD is about those stories. For over four years, journalism students students of the Department of Media and Communication at the Royal University of Phnom Penh have been doing research in this field -- and finding pieces of the big picture. Their short documentaries will take you, the viewers, to different places in Cambodia, meeting survivors and their stories. Stories that help us get closer to the truth -- and understand how it affects Cambodian daily life until today.

At the same time I’m not criticizing anyone’s religion. I’m really appreciative that some innocent survivors are able to find a source of help for themselves in order to cope with the trauma they had to endure.
I wish this would be subtitled!
If anyone is wondering why, its because Christianity has a strong focus on redemption and forgiveness. It appeals to people who have committed these crimes but want to make amends.
Every religion has some aspect and reason it spread so quickly. E.g. Islam spread throughout the middle east, africa and asia is because its one of the few that don't make a big deal if you go to temple. You pray 5 times a day, but only need to make the pilgrimage once, compared to going to church every Sunday. This allows travelers and merchants to spread the ideas.
Of course all religion spreads somewhat through warfare, but there is alot based on its ideas. I'm agnostic but I've always found it incredibly interesting, and can see the value of religion. These crimes should never be forgotten, but a human cannot wallow in what they've done forever, they must turn a new leaf and create a productive and meaningful life. If Christianity helps them get into that mindset then it's a good thing.

God’s love is way bigger than our love, only God can forgive such a crimes khem rouge did, I find it difficult to forgive such a horrific ,brutal,toture crimes they did, but at the end I must follow what God says,otherwise God won’t forgive me.
Duch experienced the Truth in his life. He acted ruthless in the past because of his faith in the wrong ideology. Now he is in heaven. Results of lives come out of belief in the heart.
Only the Lord Jesus can surly save man kind from sin. If you ask God to forgive you and you truly repent from your sin' surly you will be save' because we are save by grass and mercy of God. No one is right before God. Not one save if we to compare God standard.
He's in hell! There is no forgiveness for the travesty he commited!

I suppose we have to forgive as bible says, however what they did to those innocent people who were living their daily lives, it is beyond forgivness, I hope God forgive them so they don’t go hell, however it would be good if God make a earth like place those leaders to work hard and eat water porridge just as they did to those victims
The unique reality is the truth. Who commits sin and bad deed must deserve theirs cannot avoid and nothing can wash one's sinful actions. Duchឌុច, a criminal commtted war crime against humanity, immoral persn, must deserve his devil action. Jessus cannot help him
He will be tortured by the devil forever in hell and 0 chances of becoming human again because of his horrific action.
