The only way this would work is if you were both editing the same wall and pulled out your shotgun at the same time

There was a way for pc players to use the charge shotgun without ever charging it. You had to bind your shoot bind to scroll wheel so whenever you shot by scrolling there would be no delay

If you don’t hit a max shot with it or miss you lose the fight 99% of the time because you need to be in cover for an entire 4 seconds just to reload it for one more shot.
I'm convinced that I'm a master pf the Lever Shotty. Most people slag it off but it's the shotgun I've had the most overall success with, in build & zero build as well as when I'm playing well or rusty. Maybe I've just used it too much at this point but i find it really easy to hit 100+ damage with the Lever, although i do think it should have it's headshot maximum raised to about 170 or 180
If I remember correctly, for a time, double pumping with the makeshift shotguns was faster than regular shooting, which would have made it really good. Not many people knew of that tho and at the time, the primal wasn't nerfed yet, so the primal still overtook the meta
The hammer pump is my favorite shotgun of all time because it has a faster pull out time which is useful for box fights but can still be countered if u have a good reaction time like me, because of this pull out time I take the hammer pump over the pump. I also prefer the sharp tooth over the normal pump because the long range was more useful in endgames and to get decent tags to start of a fight, and the sharp tooth is t even that bad compared to the pump with slightly lower damage.
The infiltrator had range with very low damage, where the sharp tooth had range with pretty high damage to make up for it. I’d personally say his placements for these two shotguns are valid.
For zero build, the ranger shotgun is pretty strong and funny sometimes. I can be far from someone and hit them for 80-100 damage and someone using any other shotgun can't compete.
The double barrel shotgun being trash is not controversial. I'm sure everyone here agrees with you. It's like the Cerberus shot gun except it has less bullets and less range so the only way you can actually do over 30 damage with it is if you're literally sniffing your opponent's ass.
CH5 Auto shotgun at D is WILD, it absolutely melted anyone in a box and is better than the tac and is better than all C and B tier guns as far as the faster firing shotguns.
The Shotguns are being rated by Balance and Fun. Hammer is A tier because it is a balanced shotgun and if you could connect shots, then its satisfying to get hits/elims with.

From playing reload, im soooooo disappointed that lever shotgun didn’t get a buff, since that animation is SO COOL! Coming from C5S1 with the striker AR molasses hands, seeing a sick reload and shooting animation is more fun than the current shotguns in C5S3.

correction for 3 errors in the video - the pump was removed for the first time during ch1s9 launch (patch 9.0) and replaced by the introduction of the combat shotgun (not in season x), the charged later removed the pump again in ch2s3, but it wasn't the first time.
I think one way that I would rework the heavy shotgun is to have it so hipfire is the og one, but change to make it less inconsistent(maybe less damge per pellet), but have more pellets, to make it good for lowskills but the hipfire spread would insentvizie ADSing. ADS would be the new, sniper mode, that would be more highly skilled. Best of both worlds.
8:12 I’ve played fortnite religiously since December 2017 but the one season i quit the game was when they got rid of the pump (or anything similar) and added the trash lever shotgun. I instead spent time playing Spellbreak, one of the most underrated games i’ve ever played, R.I.P.
I remember when the Striker pump was so bad on its own because of the long delay between shots that it was faster to double pump because the shotgun swap delay was shorter. Muselk made a video on that and a day later it got buffed.
I can't lie I like the striker, prime, thunder and havoc more than the pump, strikers smaller reticle made it feel more skilful, prime reload management was really skilful, thunder just felt so nice to max with and the havoc was just crazy
i genuinely feel that the shotgun meta at the moment is the worst its been in a while. same with ARs. same with movement. what happened to fortnite that made them stop creating new and interesting things. this entire chapter as far as im concerned makes me miss what we used to have. even in chapter 4, the game felt like fortnite. not some strange mobile game.
I fell like the double barrel could definitely reach around b tier as the speed is similar to the tac but it’s a lot more skill based and strategy based eg. you need to play smart with it to kill instead of just spamming the wall. So it’s just a more skill based harder to use tac. Only bad thing is the reload time but with a half decent smg/ar your probably fine
Great vid. Very interesting. Personally, i absolutely hate these following four shotguns: Dragons Breath, Double Barrel, Single version of Heavy Shotgun, and literally aNy sORt Of DrUm shOtGuN. I think the loot pool of shotguns that you have as S tier is pretty good, I would never use the maven (because i tickle people's feet with that thing), but all seasons need a shotgun like that which shoot faster, even if I don't like it. I would use the charge shotgun, but that is just until I find a pump. The pump is such an amazing shotgun that takes skill to use and is best while using piece control. It is so good and popular that Epic have to "slightly" change it to fit every chapter and season. Anyway, the "skillful" shotguns probably aren't the best shout for this season though. 3:45 completely agree.

8:12 I’ve played fortnite religiously since December 2017 but the one season i quit the game was when they got rid of the pump (or anything similar) and added the trash lever shotgun. I instead spent time playing Spellbreak, one of the most underrated games i’ve ever played, R.I.P.
I remember when the Striker pump was so bad on its own because of the long delay between shots that it was faster to double pump because the shotgun swap delay was shorter. Muselk made a video on that and a day later it got buffed.
i like the lever action, but that's mainly cause my aim is bad, with it whenever i shoot i can usually get some sort of damage in

I dont even play fortnite anymore but I genuinely like this mans voice and the long fortnite videos he makes.
for some reason i just love the thunder pump and the striker one. no clue why but the guns made ch4 s1 and c3 s2 my favorite seasons by far

I can't lie I like the striker, prime, thunder and havoc more than the pump, strikers smaller reticle made it feel more skilful, prime reload management was really skilful, thunder just felt so nice to max with and the havoc was just crazy
Actually, I'd want to see a variation of this for some of the other weapon categories, including snipers, automatic rifles, and SMGs.

unc forgot that they removed the pump for the combat in season 9, charge shotgun wasn't the first time they vaulted the pump
putting the lever in F but putting the makeshift, ranger, two shot, and dragons breath is crazy
as a zero build player the infiltrator pump was one of the most balanced and fun

this entire chapter as far as im concerned makes me miss what we used to have. even in chapter 4, the game felt like fortnite.

I fell like the double barrel could definitely reach around b tier as the speed is similar to the tac but it’s a lot more skill based and strategy based eg. you need to play smart with it to kill instead of just spamming the wall. So it’s just a more skill based harder to use tac. Only bad thing is the reload time but with a half decent smg/ar your probably fine
Fun fact: The Prime Shotgun in German is called "Erstschuss-Schrotflinte", which literally translates to "first-shot shotgun"
Great vid. Very interesting. Personally, i absolutely hate these following four shotguns: Dragons Breath, Double Barrel, Single version of Heavy Shotgun, and literally aNy sORt Of DrUm shOtGuN.
I think the loot pool of shotguns that you have as S tier is pretty good, I would never use the maven (because i tickle people's feet with that thing), but all seasons need a shotgun like that which shoot faster, even if I don't like it.
I would use the charge shotgun, but that is just until I find a pump.
The pump is such an amazing shotgun that takes skill to use and is best while using piece control. It is so good and popular that Epic have to "slightly" change it to fit every chapter and season.
Anyway, the "skillful" shotguns probably aren't the best shout for this season though. 3:45 completely agree.
