I just bought one of this, for someone who needs to commute to work by bus or metro/train/underground/whatever it is called and needs to here the stops and also if a coworker communicates with them dont need to do a huge hassle just to trade a few words, they are freaking great. I mainly work from home, I often need to have some awareness to the things around the house (like the washing machine or coffee maker or even the doorbell) having noise cancelling headphones/earphones can easily disturb that so I often don't hear those types of headphones/earphones. Yes the sound are not the best but for the porpoise I like them, and if I mean to use a headphones/earphones for music with nothing else to do, I can always have another headphones that I prefer better for that situation.
I always appreciate the precise choice of words when describing products. Different perspectives explained. Very well done. Fun exclamations at times. I still have my mind wrapped around the one crazy time you went off about how which is the proper direction a person is to wipe their ass…. Lolz
For cycling, or walking at night to be more aware of surroundings it's what I'd want. I listen to music, pod casts and books. Also at work, customer comes in, tap in front of ear, and I can hear, and then go back to my task, when they've left.
Samsung Buds Live had a similar concept when they came out back in 2019! I have them and I love the fact they don't seal against your ear canal, so they don't shut off the outside world, yet they provide a rich, crystal clear sound.
Yeah I feel like Samsung owned that one … but these ones are actually not so bad I got a pair. I actually done a review on these Sony linkbuds and posted the video today if you would like to check em out.
@@svg03 They are indeed comfortable, more so than any other earbuds I've used. They also hardly protrude outside my ears, which not only looks better than having silly plastic bits sticking out of your ears, it's also more comfortable when you wear tuques/beanies, which I do 6 months a year here in Canada. They are, however, very fit dependant, so the size/shape of your ears will impact your experience with them more so than the earbuds that fit inside your ear canal.
I have literally been looking for a pair of wireless earphones that literally does exactly that. My go to earphones were the Bose soundsport wired earphones (via aux) that are discontinued. I always had one ear in only. This is literally what I've been praying for a company to make. The mic quality is honestly literally the best in the game of wireless earphones. This Beats airpods, Samsung buds and anything in its price range. Does have a few cons like battery life isn't all day, will have to pop them back in the case halfway through my day. Also you need two hands to open this case. Other than that I love them.

The BEST sounding ear buds are: Between Pro by Status. They have a "triple driver" and the quality of the sound is amazing. I have tried all the rest, Apple, Samsung and a bunch of others and these by far are the best I've ever tried.
@@Moz31 when compared to in-ears.... they're not bad if you need to prioritize awareness + comfort and just want music in the background, and everything from the mids up are good....... there's room to improve volume bass and clarity with the included app getting a proper fit is also huge i could see these being useful for VR since others can't hear what you're doing, but you can still hear your surroundings, less likely to get disoriented. I would never pick them as my first option but there are times when I reach for them first, typically when I need to hear my surroundings.
Lot of tech companies just waiting for Apple to come up with a trend and have their take/version of it. Love Sony for always doing things their own way

Have used these for some days now. I put them in my ears around 10am and take them out around 4pm. Not sore, not falling out. Not in use all the time but I can leave them in while not using them. Last for my day. Happy customer so far
I've been wearing my earbud loose for many years, because I wanted to be able to hear the outside when I'm listening to music. I cant believe they actually designed a product exactly for that. Normally I'd just use a slightly larger rubber fitting so it's enough to fit in and not drop out but also too big for me to push it too deep that it would shut out most of the outside noise. So excited for this, just wondering how the fitting is going to be for different ears.
Comparing Sony audio to airpods is so disrespectful. Apple just automatically adjusts audio settings to please the tiktok audience. Anyone looking for true sound fidelity knows Sony gives you some of the best on the market (obvs excluding real audio engineer headphones)
Well, this is exactly the type of in-ear shape I've been waiting for in earbuds. I don't like the usual tips going into my ear canal. Could they bring some sort of Noise Canceling/Reduction to them (got to admit is useful while sitting in the metro), and they're definitely getting my money.
@@ranjusranjus143 I do understand that one may think that way. But I actually don't agree. We do have NC earbuds which are pass-through capable as well. Does that negate the reason for them being NC. I don't think so. As such, I believe the other way around is also true. The two features can coexist in my opinion. The user decides when it's in need of any particular one of them in a given scenario. In fact, if they were actually capable of adding NC (don't know if it'd be possible with that design) their design is by default energy-efficient already, since it doesn't have to reproduce the ambient sounds over the speaker when in pass-through mode. They could advertise that as a selling point. In my particular case, all I'm asking manufactures for is a product with the same convinient size, weight and shape, that doesn't have to put anything directly inside my ear canal, that will stay securely and comfortably in place, which will also have NC/NR and pass-through capabilities. So far this is the closest, (yet still one step away), to what I've been waiting for. Hopefully it'll get to be a reality before 2024.
@@Leedzboyz They could just keep putting out this product as it's marketed, then find another way for marketing a product such as the one I'm describing, if they or whoever may come up with something like what I'm proposing. The shape and concept are great. In line with the physiological considerations I prefer. Now please release a similar product that also has NC/NR to some extent if possible. They can then call it whatever they want. Market them whatever way they want. I know for sure I'll be buying a pair that does what I'm asking for. These ones as they are, feel already very enticing to me.

Not as good as the wf1000xm3 because they lack the bass but the soundstage is much wider which i like allot.
I'm a driver and i like to listen to my own music while driving so these are brilliant for me as i can still hear the passengers if they need something.
was looking at the wh1000xm3 and xm4 for some over ears. thoughts on them vs other over ears?
@@christiandinero8083 yes i have the xm3's and they are great.
The sound is very good and the anc is really good.
The only thing that is lacking is the mic for calls.
When you're outside and it's windy people don't hear me.
I've heard the xm4's have even better anc and the mics have improved.
Imo not enough to upgrade but if i didn't have the xm3's I'd rather get the xm4's unless the ±€70,- extra is too much.
@@RFRM89 gotcha. thanks. i have no over ear headphones and the only ear buds i have right now are the beats studio buds
*headphones with zero noise isolation? lol just go buy the MDR-G45LP for 20$*
Is there any sound leakage?
I got these for walking my dogs. Works for what I need it for and that’s really it. I like the sound. I don’t mind not having that much bass.
As soon as he said Ok Google, my entire home of Google devices turned on lmao.
I feel like that whole AR experience would be 10x better if you would look at them through some glasses or something. Holding the phone is awkward.
Requiring specialised ar glasses for an unboxing experience is a bit extreme don't you think?
Does it come with purchase or Lew just got it

The live bud actually still blocks sounds a little bit due to the huge bean lodged in your ear. *from owner of the red kidney beans
I gave them to my girlfriend, because I bought the Buds Pro, but darn, I miss them! They are so comfortable
Took you long enough I’ve been waiting for YOUR REVIEW you just explain things way better then everyone else. So yea thanks bro
Just did!!
I agree ! He gets straight to the point and because of him I ended up buying a pair. I actually done a review on these Sony linkbuds and posted the video today if you would like to check em out.

Would honestly be interested to see if these would really fit my ears, almost nothing will actually work for me. The last time I can recall one working for me was the old wired earbuds that came with iPhones.
I also don't like being completely shut off from my surroundings, so these sound really cool!
Try the different sizes. Loving mine!
Honestly sounds good for joggers and cyclists
Have you tried Bone Conduction headphones? Shockz Openrun might be for you.
If the wired EarPods worked for you then AirPods gen 2 will work amazingly. I’m in the same boat, nothing fits except AirPods 2 and they fit extremely well
pixel buds, fit really nice
you cant have like a noise cancelling experience with this like you can hear ALLL the distractions going around and + it takes like half an hour trying to figure out how they fit...
This tech is another level masterpiece created my man 💪 🔥

I'm a forklift driver and these are by far the best at allowing me to be aware of my surroundings and coworkers at the same time as all connectivity. Thumbs up.
I would love to use these while running so I don't have to keep one out to stay alert from creeps.
I'm a mom, I can't shut off outside noise but I want to study or listen to news phone call and stuff , definitely I'll buy link buds
Don't have time for completely shut myself out from the worls and focus on music
Great concept. Hope they continue this product line

"Get it right, get it tight". -Bubba Sparxxx 🤣🤣
The BEST sounding ear buds are: Between Pro by Status. They have a "triple driver" and the quality of the sound is amazing. I have tried all the rest, Apple, Samsung and a bunch of others and these by far are the best I've ever tried.
People do be shilling for these. They are mediocre at best
@@Moz31 when compared to in-ears....
they're not bad if you need to prioritize awareness + comfort and just want music in the background, and everything from the mids up are good.......
there's room to improve volume bass and clarity with the included app
getting a proper fit is also huge
i could see these being useful for VR since others can't hear what you're doing, but you can still hear your surroundings, less likely to get disoriented.
I would never pick them as my first option but there are times when I reach for them first, typically when I need to hear my surroundings.

Very good if u working on loud noises place, hazardous area. U still can alert an danger during enjoy your music.
Lot of tech companies just waiting for Apple to come up with a trend and have their take/version of it. Love Sony for always doing things their own way
I lost my sh*t when he tapped his temple. WHAT?! That is fire.
As someone who has been using bone conduction headphones for years, I bought this as soon as I saw these. I absolutely love them. Only 2 complaints, the wide area tap is too sensitive and you can't change the tap actions well enough.
You can always change the setting in the headphones connect app. For me Personally I hate the short battery life span :( I also put together a video of these Sony linkbuds if you want to check it out 😊
Have used these for some days now.
Mine really hurt my ears sadly. Mayne it'll get better after a week but day 1 they hurt and are finicky to put in
So cool I've been able to watch Fred durst unbox tech for over a year
Comparing Sony audio to airpods is so disrespectful. Apple just automatically adjusts audio settings to please the tiktok audience. Anyone looking for true sound fidelity knows Sony gives you some of the best on the market (obvs excluding real audio engineer headphones)
Expected this from you before MKBHD
Damn Sony when ahead from the others..
True, loving mine!
Love these, I don't like when I'm walking around city and can't hear anything except my music.
Well, this is exactly the type of in-ear shape I've been waiting for in earbuds. I don't like the usual tips going into my ear canal.
Could they bring some sort of Noise Canceling/Reduction to them (got to admit is useful while sitting in the metro), and they're definitely getting my money.
Adding ANC would defeat the point in what these are made for 👍
Making them noise cancelling would negate the reason for their existence
