Color accuracy of Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is very low. Also the peak brightness should be atleast 300 nits. It's Display isn't good for well lit room or outdoors. Otherwise, it's a brilliant Laptop, it offers great performance, Stylus works fine but causes minor scratches on the screen while Sketching, Touch Screen + Stylus Enabled Laptops should come with Gorilla Glass protection as in the case of Acer Spin 3, Lenovo Yoga Series and HP Envy x360 Laptop. Battery life is brilliant, it's better than any other Laptop in this range, even comparable to the Laptops in premium segment as well. Built quality is average Polycarbonate built and as said screen catches easy scratches while writing or sketching eith stylus. Keyboard and Trackpad is again comparable to the premium Laptops or you can say 'Best In Class'. All the important ports are there.. So, overall a brilliant 2-in-1 Laptop in for Budget users.
One thing i recommend, is that turning the computer on battery saver mode. I recommend it because if the fans are loud, it makes them almost silent. I also use if for light gaming and turning the battery saving mode really helps the fan noise aswell.
Yeah you must be doing extremely light gaming like playing solitaire bcuz all power saver does is throttle the CPU so it can't possible draw enough power to produce more CPU cycles
You don't have to turn on battery saver mode to get this effect, you just need to go to your battery settings and turn it down to best power efficiently.

As another commenter said, the fan is loud. You can put it on battery saver mode as he said, or you can use Throttlestop and disable turbo. Everything works fine like this including playing 4k 60fps video on external monitor--but if you are going to render something then temporarily allow turbo while you do that. (If you want to game--well, get a gaming laptop.) The fan is much quieter on the Thinkpad Yoga X1 and that is an all-around nicer laptop, but you will pay much more for it.
3:35 this is very true, amazing quality, once it slipped from my hand n hit hard rock floor so badly that it bounced but nothin happend to the screen or hinges, just the corner plastic compressed a bit as it was very hard hit, laptop working perfectly And another time it got soaked in water overnight, I left the laptop on table n a bottle with loose cap tumbled n water was all over tha laptop, n saw that next afternoon, but nothing happened, it still worked perfectly

don't by this laptop! bought this laptop 1 and a half year ago and my hinge is broken which is making the screen to pop out. Apparently this is a design flaw but have to get this done out of my pocket.

Don't Buy it. many Internal issues. If you folded laptop as tablet and then turn off laptop, then unfortunately battery is drained, and laptop got hot and surprisingly fan sometimes off or sometimes on state. During watching videos, sometimes video hang issues observed for little milliseconds! This laptop cannot utilize all core speed, if you work on multi core then you got only 3.3 to 3.37 ghz clock speed. Poor webcam, totally rubbish. In room if you opened your window then you have to be struggle with 250nits brightness display. Fingerprint sometimes worked and sometimes not worked if you tuned on flip to start. And mostly this laptop not compatible with windows 11. Just this laptop has really low latency while writing on screen, good battery backup and good speaker,

I just bought the IdeaPad Flex 5 14ITL05 a week ago. When you have it a full 360°, or have it set up like a triangle, the keyboard turns off. If I fully open it up 360° and hold it with my left hand on the bottom and my right hand touching the screen, my left hand inadvertently presses keyboard buttons but they're ignored. Also, palm rejection is very good while using the stylus. Hope this helps.

Hey I received a Yoga 6 yesterday, which should have comparable display specs to this one, except maybe better colors. I'm really happy with the laptop, except for the display - the response time is pretty bad and i'm noticing quite a bit of ghosting/motion blur, which is especially noticeable when moving the mouse cursor around dark images = long trail behind the cursor. Have you noticed this too in the Flex 5 or a Yoga 6 you've reviewed?
I am very interested in this laptop, but the HORRIBLE color gamut (Only 45% NTSC???!) and really dumb round, non standard power port are deal breakers I think. If it had a decent DCI-P3 color spec and two USB-C ports and a USB-C power adapter rather than that embarrassing non standard power port, I'd probably get this as my travel laptop. My 6 year old Lenovo P40 has served me so well, but I think it's just about dead. This looks like a great replacement IF the screen color was decent. It was working just fine as my secondary laptop..I usually used it to watch Netflix or browse through my papers..I was fine with the battery and the charging speed of the adapter..However, I wouldn't be saying the same about the sound clarity though...It could have been far better for sure..Also, I switched to my iPad recently because I felt this 2-1 laptop to be quite bulky to carry.. If you are willing to make a few compromises such as weight, sound and compactness (as it's more of a laptop than a tablet in the end!) then you should be fine using it! Hope this helps...
