nice detailed info for these 2 great shoes. I don't have the 1906r yet. but I do have the 2021 57/40 refined future pack and 2022 2002r refined protection pack. looking forward in copping the 1906d refined future pack.

I’m excited to get my turtle dove pair in next week from the nb website release! Being a wide size 13, my 2002r’s fit snug & with this N lock system and narrow toebox, I actually full-sized up to a 14 with no choice of a 13.5 obviously. Looking forward to trying them on!

I also size 13 generaly, 14 on Jordan 1 but i have 1906r 13 us are perfect think 14 will be big lol
Maybe rain cloud fit small i never had, only 2002r 13 us are perfect and this 1906 13 us 100% good size i dont know why people say size up 😂
14’s fit width wise around the ball of my foot. 1 inch of room lengthwise in the toebox. No slippage at all & could rock them easily, but grabbed a 13 off a restock so I’m gonna see how my true size feels with these
Copped these on a restock today. These are a great pick up if you don’t have 2002r rain. These are my first beaters for 2023.

Thanks for the info. Comparisons and opinions. Gonna pick up a few 2002rs. I think prices should go up for a well made shoe. Let the market decide. Its gonna be a tough year for retailers. Great shoes will be loved....horrible-ugly-overpriced ones will sit or be discounted. Kinda regret not going for 2002r Protection Pack Lunar New Year Dusty Lilac.

The ortholite insoles on 1906 does feel a bit more comfy imo. For daily use, it doesn’t feel that much different. But if you walk more than 10k steps in a day, you’re definitely gonna feel the difference. Great vid btw, cheers from Amsterdam 🍻

bruh, i was going for the reflection colorway, till i saw your awesome review and decided on castlerock instead. the suede looks incredible!
It does! One thing I forgot to mention is that the darker color makes the details on the suede look better.
I'm thinking about 2002r sea salt, 993 jfg, or some of 1906r. What would u recomend?
I think 993 or 2002R first.
@@guynkicks agreed. The 993 will always be a great first option since the suede is buttery and the comfort is 10/10.
I think 1906D was named because of the “distressed” for the D but I don’t know
I have the 3 2002rs and one of them has the refined future treatment and I might get the grey colorway
(I think the creator of the refined future pack was pissed when the protection pack was named because it had become a trend until now)

I think R refine future d for distressed. Think the 2002rs that released all have D on the box. I had both of these and the slimmer 1906d leaves me wanting it to be bulkier. I did distress the flat light grey suede with a brush and it makes the shoe look so much better. I agree with the higher price for “recycled materials” when the tag saids 30% recycled materials, which means they really only used 10% 😐

You’re half correct. The 2002 or 1906 silhouettes derive from the early to mid 2000s NB running line . Since both were initially running shoes in their day, the R stands for running and of course as you guessed the D stands for Distressed.
9:35 i partially blame the resale market bc NB is seeing people spend more money anyway so why not try to capitalize from the start?? As long as the quality doesn’t change then it justifies the price IMO 👌🏼💯
I picked up the rain cloud and sea salt in the 90/60’s. I scooped the 2002r in slate, switched the laces to cream. Very happy I purchased all at retail.
I like the lining of the 1906 more. Feels more secure and doesn’t get as dirty as the felt lining on the 2002s. I also dislike the tongue on the 2002s as the exposed foam catches on my socks.

TTS on the 2002r to me is just 1:1 fit, no space/allowance anywhere. So i thought of coping half a size up on the 1906r would be ok?

1906 are absolutly TTS i wear 2002r and now i wear this protection pack i have big foot and size me absolutly perfect maybe its feeling about the different shape

It’s not fakes that are going through apps. It’s the fact that NB restocked the 2002r multiple times in Asia and sellers are flooding the markets
I think it goes rain cloud number one and lunar year number 2 and everything else follows

Bro plz help me out....I needed a size 9 in the RF 1906 and the latest RF 2002rs even though I needed size 9.5 in Regular 2002rs .........I want to order rainclouds but I keep hearing they fit tighter than the newer series..... should I buy rain clouds in size 9 or 9.5?

I’m wanting to buy either the 1906r or the 2002r…but if I go for a “unisex” fit (as a woman), should I go TTS? I’ve heard unisex is a wider fit than standard women’s.

Wow! Tough question, they’re both very comfortable but the v6 toe box feels a little more snug than the 2002R. Can’t go wrong either way.

Are the Made in China Rain Clouds through Goat fake?
At the time of filming this video there were stories floating around about fakes bought through resellers like goat/StockX. Any time you buy through these sellers, there’s always a chance a fake gets by.

Did you size up half a size or just get your tts? And if you got tts, are they snug?
I go TTS with 2002R or 1906. They don’t feel snug. I can rock a half size down as well, and again don’t feel snug.

I have the 2002R size 9 it feels a bit bulky and roomy I normally wear size 9. Do I need to half size down for 1906r?
Then you’ll probably like the 1906 in a 9 then.
But it feels roomy so i chose the 8.5 then if too thight I'll exchange it to 9

You’re right I shouldn’t have sounded so certain about fakes being sold through those resale platforms. However, one thing that is for certain the Rain Cloud has been replicated a lot and the shoe has that stigma from being sold on the resale market. Especially ones that are coming from China. You add that plus additional restocks, it killed the resale value. But with many fakes being sold, I would be hesitant to buy for resale. ✌🏼
@@guynkicks yea but the fakes are terrible even the best UA’s are off completely so yes they are highly replicated but if you get got it’s because you ain’t do enough research or have even seen the shoe
No doubt, but me personally once I know there’s doubt about a fake shoe being sold on resale platforms, I’m out I won’t consider it anymore.
@@jtheiii Off as in quality mostly or in terms of looks? Because if its not comfortable I'd probably stay away. But if its comfortable but isn't 1:1, I'm not worried about getting "called out" on shoes let alone New Balances
