I did the same. But instead of drying it under sunlight, I let it dry under the shade. Turned out pretty well than I expected it to. Couldn't figure out if the color actually faded or not. It was a Puma Suede.

I soak my laces and then apply Vanish if they're white and hand wash them. Gets em glowing! Also spray mould bleach bathroom spray on the white rubber, gets it super glowing too.
All three are rejuvenated to a near mint condition. The Vans probably shaded it, in terms of dramatic difference. The Puma's are the best looking, even though Adidas are usually my go to Brand.
Also, I bmx with my vans so I scrub the entire shoe with the solution and water cause they always have nasty stains. Once dried, I brush the suede for a few mins and they return like new.
I think the green really pops now! I watched this video because I have some dirty, blue Samba MCs with suede and canvas uppers. So glad I learned not to put water on suede....

Mix some 70° alcohol with liquid mink oil (or any other non-sticky oil if you don't have it). Put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray it on your suede. Leave to dry. Brand new suede ;)

I clean my skateshoes with my own trick! 1. I use WD40 to clean the midsole (with a piece of a cotton). 2. I use Dishwasher (Fairy) with the medium soft brush for Undersole. 3. I use soft brush to clean the suede. 4. I use vacuum cleaner to clean the innersole (sometimes). After spraying just a splash of WD40 on a piece of cotton so just gently clean the midsole and wide it off with the slightly wet cloth. I use my sink to wash the undersole so just place it under the faucet and open it up slowly and make the undersole wet and then start cleaning it.
Never tried WD40 but agree with the sink soap and water tricks. I usually start with the bottom and move upward. Attempting to keep water from sides of shoe. Or from my wife seeing me use the kitchen sink for cleaning dirty shoes.
TIP If you can't afford the tools he used, you can clean the white sole with an old toothbrush and toothpaste(!) Works wonders, also for all white sneakers. You can also use the toothbrush for the leather part. Instead of the shoe tree, you can fill the shoe with newspaper.👍
Kind of bummed that I watched this video, ordered an essential kit and didn’t realize that it didn’t come with a suede eraser. It would have been nice if you mentioned that when you were using the eraser, i would have just bought it, when I bought the kit.

Me: Washed my adidas suede trainers in the washing machine. Now the suede is hard and tough 😂

For the mid soles I like using a white magic eraser.

Painters tape along the edge where he sued meets the white sole that should help and he tape isn’t super sticky.
Can you tape cling wrap over the suede upper so you don't have to worry at all about getting it wet?
I use nail polish to clean the white soles and it cleans it very good as white as new
