As a UConn fan it was tough to see some ppl trashing Sarah because she got ranked above Joyce but I tried my best to stay quiet because she is letting her game do the talking. Great video tho they always hit the spot!
@@Bigmeech864she is definitely better than Joyce. Joyce can’t do everything Sarah does. Joyce barely is making her layups right now. People need to stop overhyping Joyce and let her develop. Right now her game is no where near as polished as Sarah Strong.
Strong is undoubtedly the best player in this class. and she’s only going to get better. Strong is on a Maya Moore Breanna Stewart type of trajectory. I think Sarah was ranked #1 because her game was the most polished out of everyone else in her class. Geno really doesn’t have much left to really to develop in Sarah’s game if you think about it. Other prospects have alot to work on to catch up to how good Sarah already is.
I hustled my way to a press pass at The Ball Dawgs Classic. Toby is impressive to see in person. She dunks in warmups and is A LOT bigger than her 6'2' listing. She bodied up on Ayoka Lee and didn't look bad. Her future is off the charts
Canada has a couple of other good-looking freshmen besides Swords and Fournier. Jasmine Bascoe at Villanova and Delaney Gibb at BYU are also looking impressive.
@@maxpower247 I just checked her numbers and she could be the front runner for SEC FOY.. unless Joyce has a stellar conference play which would be hard given the depth the gamecocks have in the forward position and that Chloe playing outta her mind as of rn..
@@Cera_Prit Joyce is the real deal. Got to see her twice in Vegas & LA. Mikayla looks like a superstar right now. Can't wait to see her in conference play.
You as did many others ranked her as low as fifth because she was too slow to play defense (dog whistle phrase for surreptitious body shaming). Well as we who know Sarah said she has exceptionally quick hands, is fast with exceptional feet work but all you could see to rank her fifth was this large body. Her defense is exceptional as we all knew. She will be that generational player
Yes they definitely were body shaming her, and it’s so sad cs after she committed to UConn i seen her like a comment of someone saying she needs to lose 20 pound
Sarah does look very good, but comparing Joyce to her is not apples to apples. Fulwiley is just as good as Hildago, but doesn't get the same clout because of her minutes. Likewise for Joyce with Sarah. Joyce has been pressing because of the limited minutes she wants to make an impact. She and the rest of the team are settling down now. Assuming no one leaves South Carolina's lineup next season will trump this one. Dawn is just maintaining her culture rewarding the upperclassmen who've been with her program. They'll matchup later. Then we'll see.
Honorable Mention: Maddy Mac, Jordan Thomas, Kayleigh Heckel, Justice Carlton and Avery Howell (If I am missing some random small school girl who averages 20ppg, then forgive me lol)
I like heckel. I haven’t seen enough from her. She has been quiet since moving into the starting lineup. Her stats are deceptive because they are based off two big games against Cal Poly and cal state northridge.
Sarah gets MORE minutes than Joyce that's why she chose Uconn. She wouldn't start at South Carolina. I have to admit, she is the best #1 recruit for Uconn in the past 8 years.
Thank you for pointing this out to those being willfully ignorant using solely averages to push a narrative. Not to mention uconn just hit the challenging part of their OOC schedule. Given time the question will be who is the most efficient.
@@RustyLou18 She would start anywhere as UConn is as loaded with as much depth as any team in the country including SC. She is special like a Maya Moore A’ja Wilson special and they both started as freshman.

Ya’ll just mad Joyce has looked average and Sarah has looked generational. SC recruited Sarah UConn didn’t recruit Joyce. Think about that. Ya’ll called Sarah overweight slow just because she snubbed your team. And now she’s exposing that even though Joyce has potential she’s not currently the better player of the two. For those of you that keep talking about minutes go look at the per 40 stats between the two. Sarah still eats her. Sarah also is already better than every forward on SC’s roster if we’re being honest. None of them are the scorers Strong is. Sarah gonna be at 20 PPG by the end of the season. It’s okay to just admit you had it wrong instead of continuing to down Sarah because you mad that her #1 ranking was deserving. Eat Crow.

I just did this yesterday. Very good class. A lot of depth as well as high end, All American talents.
It’s definitely a deep class! 2023 and 2024 are some of the best classes to ever come out of

Twice named ACC Freshman of the Week in 3 week span!
Toby 27 points and 9 rebounds yesterday, finally got the minutes.
Yeah it’s kind of ironic that happens right after I posted this
Here is my first team: Sarah Strong, Mikayla Blakes, Joyce Edwards, Elina Aarnisalo, Syla Swords and Jalonii Cambridge
It’s unrealistic to compare Joyce based on stats because of her limited minutes…UCONN’ depth is nowhere near that of SC…

Kiyomi McMiller is off to a great rookie season! Rutgers just needs a few more pieces to help close tight games.
Any thoughts on Aaliyah Guyton?
Have high schools started to produce better talent? The last two classes have been incredible.
