Best Ema theme. The part from 0:22 - 0:38 gives it that gloomy detective edge that the original Gumshoe theme also has. Which makes it better than the exclusively cheerful one from the newer games.
0:56 I like how this part is less cheery and doesn't appear in her theme from the first game , it really conveys her bitterness and colder personality from after she failed the exams, which many people can relate. And it gives a more unique feel to her character in general, instead of the stereotypical happy assistant type.
Even then, I like what they did with here in SoJ
actually i always thought it was supposed to be her going serious for a second so she could do science stuff!
And her grudge against Klavier for (unintentionally) causing Phoenix's disbarment.

I always loved extra case in the first game and Ema's comeback in AJ is just sweet.
Scientifically this song is good.
When you start to imagine her sounding like "Princess Bubblegum" the game gets more interesting.

I loved how this was still Ema, Just facing the hard truth that life will kick you in the ass sometimes, She's still the energetic girl who loves Science, Just with a bit more maturity, And also hating her job. And loving those snack-o's
And even later on, In SoJ (After the Detective Trauma in DD), She still shows her old self in the DLC, When Miles comes along.
Also, I have to note here, I love that her design changed the further she got away from being a basic copy of Maya, That's amazing
big fan of how reserved she's become since the first game, only to become an excitable kid any time you brought up forensic science. really hope she achieves her dream in the future.

I love how jaded she is in 4 onwards compared to when she first appeared in Rise From the Ashes. Actually seemed like she aged.

like how her average is 97% same i graduated from high school with that average. and how she aspired to be a forensic scientist but failed that really shook me, of course my dream wasn't to become a forensic scientist, it's something else but still scientific. i FAILED too💩 but THE SIMILARITY 😢 and now i don't take my job seriously because it's nothing near my dream💩

Love how her theme musically shows her change in character. The 'chorus' loses its jovial tone compared to how it was in the first game and investigations
Hopefully in the next game, she'll work in Forensics like she wanted too ^_^

i feel the sudden urge to eat a bag of neverending snackoos with a loud ass sound while being jealous by a famous guitar player called Klavier Gavin which i actually collect evidence for and thats also the brother of a defense teacher that turned out to be a criminal or in other words Kristoph Gavin and right in front of Apollo and Trucy when they want to investigate or know more about the case because i’m annoyed and my day is miserable so that i make Apollo’s already annoying and miserable day of investigating and being on trial as the defence attorney with no rest whatsoever even worse than before because my day was also bad and because he investigates and uses forensic tools better than i do by quite a lot actually

Not gonna lie, the first time you meet her she's really annoying with that constant snacking noise. But she does get better, and her remixed theme improves on the original one. The part at 1:02 has that "Detective" feel to it, which is pretty neat.
