The problem with this engine is that the connecting rods are not forged and they come from the f90 M5 and they are not all that strong... so to me the isn’t forged connecting rods are a weak point in an engine like this...

Look at you go Joe! I don't know what's getting me HOTTER...you, the X3 or that 'M' DNA vernacular that you're sporting around!!!! In any regard, well done! My windows have officially been steamed!
Great review. Love this SAV. I ended up choosing the M40i because the performance was so close. Wouldn't mind the cross-drilled rotors but happy so far.
You must really like this SUV, Joe. You didn't give it the first zonk until minute 13. Lol. It is really nice indeed. I love the design of the gauge cluster; I am not a fan of the gauge cluster BMW has been using on the 3 series. Nice review, Joe! Thanks!
@@RaitisRides I hear you. I'm in Arizona and I wait until the cooler months to track my Rex as well. Looking forward to seeing the type RA in action. Thanks!
Lower rear truck height possible! - if you order the free optional tire inflator kit, it deletes the spare tire and that 2" rise in the floor. Also, if you order the "M style" seatbelts, the black belts have one side that are edged with the three "M" colors in a nice, refined way.
Amazing review joe! This CUV looks like it would be a blast to drive! Also did they refuel the thing cuz it looked like the fuel level was pretty low lol
Incredible sleeper for the ones who don't know what M means. Those instruments are a very clean design. Much better than the new 3 series and 850I. As Matt from "Car Wow," says, well done BMW.
Wow joe what a beautiful x3m a saw the smile on your face !! Would too if I drove that bmw!! By the way a saw one on TH-cam pearl white with inside red interior OMG what a beauty!!! 👍👍👍👍! Thanks again joe!!

BMW has definitely come out with some badass suv's. I'm not a fan of their cars, but the suv's are top notch, especially this particular vehicle! I have no need for an suv but this would be fun to haul around on the freeway on vacation for sure!
That’s an awesome ride! I’d opt for different seat color. Not digging the gold or tan or whatever they call it. I wonder how many of the 90% new parts will have problems? Thanks for sharing it Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
I'm in love with this 2020 BMW X3M Competition, so fricking awesome. Would absolutely love to get 1 of these 1 day, or u know what I'll get every BMW in their lineup🙏🙏♥️♥️. Would love to see a 2020 BMW M8 Competition, it's already out FYI. Thanks Joe. Keep up the great work and reviews.
Oh yes ! Finally a real vehicle for some of us lol it’s just my type of vehicle in that color definitely hotter with red seatbelts with black and red seats and of course brown wood on dash and doors.... sign me up 😍
You might remember Joe that my daughter is seriously considering the X5. After watching this I think I'll try to talk her into this baby. Ole dad will have to turn the tables on her and ask to borrow the car keys.
Where's the online order form for this? The X5 M was one of my dream vehicles when it first came out. This is perfection, almost. It costs a lot, and there's still the reliability, maintenance, and parts cost and insurance factor, and fuel, but in a perfect world, this could be my dream ride. But no auxiliary audio input jack if none, rear USB inputs, keyfob M logo, plastic paddle shifters is a zonk. And tan leather is nice, but I would prefer grey, browns are not my color. And no seat pockets... Seriously, it has a CD player, wireless charging, etc. For the price, those other things mentioned should be included, but it's easy to get a dual USB 12volt adapter for the back. Looks, sound, comfort, performance, braking and handling is almost perfect, and fast... considering costs for other high performance vehicles, this is reasonable for what it is, has, and does.
@@RaitisRides I can imagine. If I had it, I would drive it often, but keep mileage and wear down, and get a more practical daily driver like a C8 Corvette. Lol Seriously, more like the main cars I comment about.

@RobertGrant80 mine has a B58 engine. Still running strong. I'm going to trade for a new 2024 x3 m40i. Gotta keep it new and under warranty. Never any problems.
A Swiss Army knife will last for years. This car will need 15 k in repair cost by 90 k miles. See what they want for a 100k warranty for a bmw. I told the dealer that 8k for warranty says something. Same warranty for Lexus was 2800. Why? The Lexus model was was close to the same msrp.
@@gregblack8550 I agree. I was really saying that it can serve multiple roles. Although I love the car, I don't think I would buy it unless I was absolutely swimming in cash to afford the accompanying maintenance costs.

The BMW's X3 looks to be the size of the early year X5's. They really got larger yet not over sized like many SUV's.
You are so very right! Great eyes!

J H thanks for saying! It’s nice to get some great feedback.
This is the only video I’ve watched so far that gave a close up view of the car 👏
I really like the little history you tell us about the brands and the cars. That makes a cohesive line from the start to the end of the reviews.
That really means a lot Anderson!
I just bought the X3 M40i and it is awesome, although it "only" has 355 HP. Great review.
I like how Raiti has increased his zonk standards in his recent reviews. The side air curtains aren’t functional & The rear wiper isn’t hidden
Another thing about the x3m is the manual reclining rear seats.
This will be my dream SUV! Good job Joe.
Just discovered your channel and AWESOME job with the review. Your perspective is just like a regular guy and drive just like I would. I'm hooked...
