Nope dont like that at all. I know I dont mind small spaces but to me that just gives me the image of stuck under the stairs.
I personally would not have flown anywhere during the pandemic even if it was dirt cheap

@@aloysiusflartey6122 First time I did firsty class I saved up as I was going down to Peterbrough in England from Scotland Truckfest. Oh you could so see I was not one of them XD but know what I loved it. It was yeah look at me working class in your first class lounge. WOOF WOOF!
A friend had to fly from NZ to UK when her father died. On the leg from Dubai she was surrounded by a hen party. After 36 hours on the go she didn't need it, asked to be moved to a quieter part of economy, but the Emirates crew manager let her use the shower and have a first class bed for the last few hours of the trip. Amazing service.
That's stellar service. Good on the Emirates crew manager. Little things like that really do build loyalty.

Whats a Hen party? Is it a British expression for a bachelorette party or something else as I can't comprehend how you'd have a party on a plane in economy. Not that people wouldn't try but my mind is just like...no, it's too cramped. Still very nice of the crew tho.

Brilliant trip report! Their service didn't seem to change despite the pandemic. The food looked really nice. It's always cool to be able to take a shower in the sky.

Between Cathay Pacific and Emirates’ inflight service which one do you prefer?
I’ve never taken a 20 minute shower in my own home!
As an ex emirates crew I can confirm that a lot of business and first class meals are the same, first class just has some extra dishes and they’re presented on a plate. We used to plate meals in business class but it was too time consuming having one person in the galley plating 76 meals, so they started making them pre plated a few years ago which saved our lives 😅.

That's why I read all of Paul's reviews and also take them totally authentic. I also find the clear info details an tricks/strategies you use or have used when you book. Really helpful to know about the fare you paid for real? So many other reviewers are looking to show off. Keep it up Paul and keep doing rail reviews too.
I love utube because of the hundreds of awsum and super interesting videos. Plane trips , train trips and much much more. Normal TV is really BORING.

Flew on the top deck on one of AF's Ex-A380s in Nov, 2019 (CDG-JFK). Even though just in Economy, it was a great and memorable experience. Thanks for the new video and greetings from Germany.
Just got off a long night shift at the hospital and this has been a treat watching your video. Now I can drift off to sleep, dreaming of being able to fly this beautiful aircraft and enjoying the benefits of business or first class!

I know this would seem an unusual request but I'd like to see how the different classes compare from a wheelchair's point of view from going through baggage check-in on to arrival at your destination

Great video Paul, I genuinely hadn’t realised that you’d not taken a first class Emirates flight before. Definitely worth the upgrade, I thought the service was very good given what everyone was dealing with at the time. Best bit? “I’ll have a champagne please” 😄 Good on you! So glad you enjoyed the trip!
Really enjoyed this, I have only flown business and economy with Emirates myself and completely agree with your thoughts on the cabin finish. It’s much nicer than your would think from images and videos.

The food does look the same as business. Saved up my skywards points and flew business coming back to Europe from my last trip home to Australia back in 2018. I was supposed to go home in 2020, now I just hope I can get back in 2022 😅

I will never fly with them again economies class they run out of meal so i never had mine no one come and apologized i fly from Manchester to Thailand the seat the most uncomfortable never with them again was 2019 xxx

On the food difference (or lack thereof) between first and business class, I was lucky enough to upgrade from economy to business class flying from Auckland to Dubai, and the food and food service blew me away, it was that good. So perhaps there's not much room to improve? Especially since aircraft cabin dryness and pressure really messes with your tastebuds anyway?

Hey Paul, just curious, what's your mindset, takes, opinions on making a video about an airlines product that has been reviewed many times before by other reviewers, youtubers, etc. For example, Emirates first class, QR Q Suites, etc. Is it something you have to a fresh mindset about? Have your own opinions from the general consensus? Or is there something more to it than that? Cheers, love the video's as always.
The reason you were having trouble with your mask is because you had it on upside down, the plastic bit is supposed to go around your nose not your chin

The mask looks as it was “upside down “. You put it on with the metal section over the nose, this allows you to shape the mask comfortably and securely. Next time put it on just as you need it. Don’t put it around your neck

great to see you back! I did fly Emirates to Dubai Business pre-pandemic. The bar area was brilliant. Great service and nice to be able to move around! Flew on to Chennai on 777 business, good, but not a touch on the A380 :-)
Good job Paul. I can recomend the YT channel : Kara and Nate. They are lounge junkies and the have some vlogs about their favorite lounges all over the world.
Loved our Emirate experience Akl-Dubai-London. Arrived absolutely refreshed with zero jet lag after good food, great shower and a good sleep. And I’ve still got the writing kit as a nice memory :-)
Not giving a single penny to a UAE airline until the guy running the place stops abusing the female members of his family and sets them free. 🤷🏻♀️

Loved the video Paul. I LOVE Emirates, amazing airline, although I've only ever flown 'BIZ' with them, never 1st. The weird thing is, on all 18 of my 'Biz' flights with them (so far), the majority of the 1st class passengers seem to always end up in the 'BIZ' bar at the back of that beautiful plane, mingling with us lesser humans. As much as I enjoy watching travel videos and longing to travel again, at times like this I stay at home and don’t even travel within my own home country (Sweden) more than absolutely needed, which is usually only to the neighbor town 20km away, or like on Wednesday, driving to a town almost 80km away to get the first dose of covid vaccine. Will take a long time still before I will travel outside my home region, let alone abroad. But most definitely have some trips I’d like to make once we’re in safer times again! The sleeper train to Kiruna is one trip I’d like to make, cruise to Helsinki is another, maybe I’ll even combine them and cruise to Helsinki, take sleeper train to Rovaniemi and then go over to Sweden and the Kiruna mountains before taking the sleeper train home from Kiruna, or maybe the other way around. I just know it’s places I’d like to go to or go to again (spent a lot of my childhood in the north) so that’s my dream for when we can travel more safely again. Also my best friend and I will be able to visit each other once it’s safer to travel again, I live in Sweden and my best friend lives in the UK

Make no mistake, the protective gear that the Emirates Flight Crew is wearing is NOT for show. They are protecting themselves from passengers that are 'loose' with their pandemic protections and fly even when EXPOSED or Covid-19 Positive (knowingly or not)
Hundreds of flight crew have suffered with Covid (probably from passengers) and it only makes sense that we have a higher level of protection.

while flying is certainly a dangerous business to be in during the pandemic. i must say almost ALL major countries require you to either
-be vaccinated + take a PCR test 72 hours before departure
- be half vaccinated ( first dosage ) + take a PCR test 72 hours before departure
- take 2 PCR tests providing negative results before traveling. + apon arrival.
so i can assure you as a health volunteer worker, governments are taking upmost precautions when it comes to covid.

You're brave flying now - the horror stories about delays and reduced service in lounges etc - I'm looking at you, BA - have put me off flying, perhaps forever.

Paul...LOL...the mask. It has a little metal strip in the seam. Feel for that little strip. That goes over your nose and you press it down snug over your nose. Then you won't have it falling down all the time! Chuckle!

First class in Emirates is worth it any time apart from the food that’s something I do complain about the food is disappointing on the flight.
We prefer to eat in the first class lounge in the airport. The 380 is an impressive air craft But and this is an important bu the WI FI is pretty rubbish.
On two occasions the WI FI didn’t work and the couldn’t fix it so my husband moved his seat twice to find one that worked. The bar in the 380 is a welcome break to have a glass of champagne. It is served in your seat but it’s nice to stretch your legs.
Did you buy your ticket from Emirates directly or from a consolidated for your business class ticket? Just wondering if Emirates would do an upgrade on a ticket from a consolidator. Thanks.
We flew a few times in first with Emirates. Flights from Brussels to Bangkok and Amsterdam to Bangkok. It was excellent!!

In 1999 a work colleague and I flew Emirates First Class from Dubai to LHR. They were experimenting with a software program that would allow passengers in adjacent seats to watch the same movie at the same time. We were the guinea pigs and so watched movies and quaffed Champagne for the entire flight, and let the IT tech know what problems we encountered. I’ve flown Emirates a number of times, mostly Business Class, and thoroughly enjoyed the service and experience every time.

I flew economy with Emirates on the top deck back (basically where you were sat but on the other side) in the summer, the window seat itself wasn't any different but the storage bins and lack of a seat outside gave a lot more room to stretch out

Always love your videos and so great see your long haul flights again. I've not flown Emirates 1st, but business is excellent (especially the bar) and LOVE the upper deck of an A380. Generally prefer Etihad, the food and seat are much better...but the bar is nowhere near as good as Emirates.

Thanks Paul for the review, living in western Canada I haven't had the opportunities to fly emirates and embarrassed to say I haven't flown on the A380 yet. One of my goals once restrictions are lifted. I enjoy T2 at Heathrow, the only dislike is the announcement of gates prior too boarding, or lack of. I love upgrades and ways to gain lounge access. It just makes for a better experience. Cheers to you catching a flight 6 days in advance, and upgrading to first, that's awesome. I can't wait to start travelling again!

It looked more than comfortable. I would never be brave enough to shower on an aircraft. I would worry that the plane might head into a dive while I was starkers! LOL! And even worse, that I needed to evacuate while still starkers!!!!
